Eye Opener features a variety of experts including Dr. Steve Salvatore, a board certified Emergency Medicine physician who covers a mix of wellness topics including fitness and nutrition experts, kitchen nutrition makeovers, and topical parenting issues. Teresa M. Pelham and Sarah Cody bring us their Mommy Minute, focusing on parenting issues. Roger Lodge of Blind Date fame kicks butt and takes names in his Rogers Rants, and Bohus Blahut, our Casual Expert, who boils complicated news stories down to the bottom line how they affect the lives of our viewers. On the lighter side, theres his holiness, Monsignor OFlaherty, who reads from the Gospel of Twitter and the profound thoughts of celebrities from Snooki to Dr. Dre. Within its first ten weeks on air, Eye Opener beat its national and local competition in the key demos on its launch station in Houston. The show was produced in Chicago. This successful format and on-air talent was scrapped when its budget was slashed and the show relocated to Dallas.
