Carlotta, overcome with horror, falls fainting on the railroad track. Frank Broadhurst, in an automobile, pursues the runaway stage. Meanwhile, Lillian has managed to break her bonds. The horses are headed for a broken bridge. She leaps into Broadhurst's car, narrowly escaping death. The lariat of a cow puncher pulls Carlotta from the path of an express train. Jose, afraid of his life, staggers over a cliff to his doom.
