The two fall head over heels and all seems right with the world. Even her career takes an exciting turn when she's cast as a pregnant teen in the popular TV show "Crime Stoppers". Soon reality sets in and Shannon realizes that she must decide what she really wants for her future. She's devastated when she discovers that Charles doesn't support her dreams and aspirations. A disillusioned Shannon is offered the chance of a lifetime, the opportunity to move to Los Angeles. With the money from her eccentric Grandmother Lucille's rainy-day fund, Shannon casts her doubts and fears aside and bravely makes the move.
