- A seventeen-year-old navigates his survival amongst an explosive criminal family and the detective who thinks he can save him.

- A French cameraman arrives at the station to film a documentary. There is a report of a riot in Widgeree, where Gossey may or may not have a situation under control. There is a death. Monica Draper makes enquiries.
- Ben and Susie face the inquest into Brad's death. What is hoped will be a mere formality quickly becomes complicated when a witness makes damning claims against them both.
- Amy regains consciousness after being attacked late at night to find Garth leaning over her. Amy freaks and turns to PJ, accusing Garth of trying to kill her - and further incriminating him as the key serial killer suspect.
- Tom now finds himself the prime suspect for the murder of Ryan Dekker. PJ and Nick Schulz believe the key witness is lying, and set out to uncover her motives for doing so.

- Jo's life is saved by a mysterious stranger after she is left choking on her seat belt after she is run off the road. When she learns her benefactor may have committed a drive-by shooting moments earlier, she refuses to accept it.
- Joss's brother arrives in town to help train the Blue Light soccer team, and takes a shine to Kelly - much to Joss's dismay.
- Evan (Jonesy) is taking his detective's exam. Amy is left alone with Matt who seems to cause trouble wherever he goes; accident prone Kelly and Joss are doing some detective work of their own, with the theft of some property.
- Susie goes to bat to save the reputation of a man whose depression has driven him to suicide. He is also under suspicion of leaving a bomb at the hospital the day of his death.
- Amy, PJ, and Senior Detective Garth Henderson find a new link between the last two serial killer victims - their psychologist, Bill Lapscott, who runs a therapy group for victims of sexual abuse.
