Terri Gar and Steve Martin make small appearances too, along with a quick cameo by Glenn Ford. Cher sings her classic "Gypsy, Tramps and Thieves" then later vamps it up with "She Was A Vamp" segments with some halfway decent scripts.

With Cher as his wife Edith, Sonny as his son-in-law Mike, regular Teri Garr as his daughter Gloria, and Harvey Korman playing both priest and rabbi. Carroll O'Connor appears as the CBS censor, sent by the network to clean up the show. Steve Martin is in the ensemble.

- Joe Namath is a guest that week and highlights the show with his reading of calendar poetry, which features Playboy Playmates dressed as the months of the year. Playmates include Cindy Wood, Miki Garcia, Martha Smith, Karen Foster, Mercy Rooney and Sharon Johansen. In a sketch called "Sonny's Pizza Parlor", Joe Namath comes to the pizzeria and makes a big impression on Sonny and Rosa (Cher). Sonny and Cher perform "It Never Rains In Southern California". Joe joins Sonny and Cher in a musical finale showing the ways to a girl's heart.
- Cher portrays Lady Godiva, Bobby Sherman the peasant leader, and Chad Everett the evil earl in a skit. Sonny tries to lure a governess astray. Bobby sings "Marchin' to the Madness." Sonny and Cher join in " Happy Together."
