- It's here, it's queer, and GayCare is changing the face of continuing education. Just past the year mark, GayCare struggles to keep their doors open. As a result of the infomercial, droves of newly-outed and returning student gays continue to pepper and adorn the halls; however student enrollment is still low, on the real down low. Co-director, Tammy Chowsky has a strategic plan for the future success of GayCare, and Nick Butter, the other co-director still tries to wrap his mind around why a "W" is not called a double V. Tammy and Nick are an odd duo; smart and pretty meets the ill-advised. They differ in their managerial philosophies and who has the greatest love for Rick Astley, but when it comes to their version of an adopted Malawi black baby--GayCare, they sit down, have a glass of boxed wine and figure how to keep gay out there.
- Like most couples, Tyler and Melissa are happy. Their relationship is ready for the next step, the engagement - and an engagement party. It is every couple's obligation to parents, friends, family and even the occasional acquaintance. Tyler and Melissa have much to share with their new found families. Although the families also have much to offer, there is little that they are willing to take. Suppressed resentment and dissatisfaction for each other are manifested. The pink elephant is born. The unspoken obvious is materialized into human embodiment. The pink elephant's job is to be everywhere: an imposing, yet mostly invisible, presence. Melissa's parents want nothing more than to see their daughter get married, except, as any parent believes, no one will be good enough for her. Tyler's parents see him as the apple of any parent's blind eye. Tyler and Melissa have much to offer beyond face value, yet parents and friends can often only see what is right in front of them. Welcome to their engagement party.
