- In a small town in Bulgaria, a mother and her two daughters are struggling to survive. The younger daughter often invents stories to make life more interesting. Unwittingly, she eventually gets caught in a web of her own lies.
- Irina is a part-time waitress in a small Bulgarian town. On the very same day when she is fired, her husband gets into a serious accident. Irina's family is trapped in poverty. To make ends meet, she becomes a surrogate mother. Fights, despair and the seed of life growing in her belly bring on another wave to this rough and wrecked life. Slowly, Irina discovers what it means to love and to forgive.
- The Mother, the Father and their 16-year-old son live on a hill, at the end of a village. They wash hotel sheets for a living. The water supply is inconsistent and they often find themselves without any water. A couple of drillers - a father and his daughter - arrive, in order to solve the water supply problem. The family's harmonious world shatters into pieces. Everyone loves and hates everyone else. The thirst for love is so great that only death could quench it.

- Magdalena is a small-town theatre actress, playing unrecognizable roles. She travels to a nearby village to take care of her father-in-law, who has suffered a stroke. Due to a swine fever outbreak, the village has been blocked. After a long thought, she decides to save the pig, even though, if caught, she will face a fine that she is unable to pay. On her journey to save the pig, Magdalena finds the empathy of people in unlikely places.

The multinational band he is part of is going to make a debut album and to become visible at the big stage. Morski has to write the lyrics for one of the songs which he is also supposed to sing. This song transforms into a chance for him to reconcile with his past and look in the future without the feeling of guilt.
