- Witville is an episodic black comedy/thriller set in Saddle Brook, NJ. The show is centered around Witness Protection Rejects and Willy Fernandez, the newly appointed overseer of the FBI's Witness Protection Rejects Program. The FBI has their hands full and assigns the Witness Protection Rejects to a small suburban town, Saddle Brook, NJ, despite the objections of the town's Mayor, Rudy Manchester. Mayor Manchester reluctantly obliges and feels disrespected by the way the FBI threw the program at him. As a middle finger salute to the FBI, Mayor Manchester hires a former low-level made man, Willy Hernandez, to run (and hopefully ruin) this Reject program and keep the Mayor's own hands clean of this operation. Willy's primary purpose is to oversee the protected individuals of the Witness Protection Rejects Program in Saddle Brook, NJ. These protected individuals are deemed "rejects" of the Witness Protection Program for various reasons, ranging from malicious and u cooperative and manipulative to every else in between. Willy comes to resent having to protect some Rejects that he feels don't deserve his protection due to the nature of the crimes they have committed prior to entering the program. As the series progresses, Willy discovers he's essentially the judge and jury in this town in regards to the Rejects and might even be untouchable despite dealing with a major thorn in his side, Luis Velarde. Luis Velarde, the head FBI agent assigned as the Liaison to the Witness Protection Rejects Program, hates that the FBI dumped this Witness Protection Reject program onto a a Mayor of a small town, who maliciously appoints Willy. Luis despises Willy's sketchy resume and lack of qualifications for the Overseer job. Luis makes sure Willy knows it and tries to hold Willy accountable for any perceived wrongdoings. Willy took the Overseer job because it's easy money and he wanted to put his Mafia affiliation behind him. This Rejects Program turns out to be the hardest money he's ever going to earn.
