- "Kids on the Silk Road" is 15 stories about children between the ages of 11 and 14, from 15 countries along the old silk route: India, Kyrgyzstan, Bangladesh, Nepal and Mongolia. Each story shows how the individual child deals with life's challenges, big and small, which they face in their specific cultural and social contexts. The stories are both authentic and easy to relate to because the main character tells you their own stories. Although the stories presented in the documentaries are small, they revolve around big universally recognizable themes such as love for animals, sports, developing your talents, realizing your dreams, finding yourself, and disagreeing with parents - part of every child's life.

- In the North-West of the isle of Ireland, the border between the Republic of Ireland and the UK runs in the middle of a beautiful glacial fjord, the Carlingford Lough. The Carlingford Ferry crosses the Carlingford Lough on a daily basis, bringing people from one side to the other. We meet several characters from North and South, with different points of view, making this soothing journey through the magnificent, green Irish landscape. The short journey is breaking the rush of the day and provokes moments of inner reflection while crossing the invisible border, deep down in the lough. The film explores the concept of identity and community on an isle divided by not one, but 2 borders: a physical one between the UK and Ireland, and mental border between seemingly incompatible opinions on the role and signification of the border. Opinions that often tend to change when personal factors surpass the ideological. The water between each side may be very deep, they all have the unpredictable weather in common. But does the local expression '4 seasons in one day' only reflect on the weather?

But the Kolkhoz is insolvent and it looks like the festival might have to be cancelled - a symbol of the Sami tradition and culture in Russia, currently threatened with extinction. 30 years old Sasha, a member of the newly found Sami parliament in Russia fights for the festival and the survival of her village.

But today, nationalism, bureaucracy and politics are a threat against their traditional way of life.
- At the border between Serbia and Croatia, a region where the bloody Yugoslav War is still resonating, there is a heap of sand in the Danube that someone wants to turn into a new nation: Liberland. This micro-nation was founded in 2015 by a Czech politician who claims to have planted his flag on this no man's land. As the first president of Liberland, he is fully busy shaping his country. But, although Liberland is supported by thousands of aspirant citizens worldwide, there is nothing more yet today than the heap of sand. Is it idealism or are there other goals?
