Peter and grandpa sit and talk about life in the car without leaving the driveway. "It doesn't seem right' Grandpa says, keeping his promise to his wife. Young peter finally looses his grandpa and inherits the family home and fortune. He becomes a recluse. No reason to venture from the house. Peter, now older, ventures only so far from the house to get it to Maybelline, start her up and then sit and ponder life never leaving the driveway. Molly, the young, new neighbor meets Peter sitting in the car. They become friends and talk about life and why Peter never leave's the driveway. 'Familly tradition' he explains. Several heart warming stories take place over time with Peter, Maybelline and Molly. We learn she has been ill all her life with cancer and she is nearing the end of her journey. Soon, Peter must wish her goodbye. The moment is bitter sweet but touching. Once again Molly leaves Peter with a special request. Unbeknownst to the housekeeper, Barbara, she awakes to find Peter and Maybelline gone. In a panic, she calls for a missing persons report, but alas he has left on his own account. The story ends when we see Maybelline driving into the sunrise. When real life of a first res-ponder and a military family, come face to face with the reality of war and life. As one passes new revelations about life come to light. A car, a neighbor and a recluse tell the story of reality in today's world through 'The little Things'. After all, "It's the little things in life that make life worth living". This family friendly, subtly faith based 'Little' film, tells a big story about finding joy when all around you is lost. The car, Maybelline, so named after Grandma Morris,older Peter who had become a recluse, and the cancer stricken young neighbor, Molly, become the unlikely catalysts to the story of compassion, joy and sadness and adventure.
