- Between the pandemic and the war drums, a calm amidst the chaos. To take the dictionary definition, Phonemes are "perceptually distinct units of sound in language." In parallel, contemplative music, a whisper of a melody: this is what the word evokes for François Dompierre. Indeed, this would seem an apt reflection of the character of the pieces included in this unique set: Maxime, Céleste, Partance, Septembre, Méandre, Cortège and Augustine. Seven contemplative pieces composed by François Dompierre, mostly unpublished, and inspired by the cinematic imagery with which he has crossed paths.
- Follows the stages, from rehearsals to final recording, of the album Phonèmes, a collaboration between talented young conductor Francis Choinière and renowned composer François Dompierre.
- The Canadian trio Lyrico, presents an enchanting evening with the Orchestre FILMharmonique at Maison symphonique. The trio interprets Italian classics including O sole mio, Core n'grato, Mamma. In addition to these romantic melodies, the trio performs audience favourites from Broadway musicals. Under the direction of Francis Choinière, Lyrico and the 50 musicians of the FILMharmonique mount an unforgettable evening of music and nostalgia.
- The Orchestre FILMharmonique returns for another epic adventure in this second voyage across cinematic history, in a variation of the original Music at the Movies. The orchestra, led by Francis Choinière performs the soundtracks of renowned classics including The Good the Bad and the Ugly, The Godfather, Dances with Wolves, and many more. This film also features three pieces sung by young soprano Sarah Dufresene.
- Backed by 46 musicians of the FILMharmonique Orchestra and a 40-piece choir, Lyrico delivers an exciting program including both well-known Italian classics, crossover hits, and Christmas favorites. Selections include Brindisi, The Prayer, O Holy Night and many more. Under the baton of Maestro Francis Choinière, the orchestra also performs the overture from opera's enduring classic, La Traviata, and the Intermezzo from Cavalleria Rusticana.
