- The programme becomes the Brian C Williams Show, as harmonica-playing Brian takes over as host. Among the guests Brian gets to introduce are The Ink Spots, while James returns for regulars including Charlie Chuck and Jerry Hayes.
- James conjures up a studio party, including songs from Jupiter Joy, Lord Sutch and Peter Straker. Although technically the last edition of Whale On, James admits that it'll be retitled "The James Whale Show" simply because it's "easier".
- James discusses the close ties between drinking and violence, and has a wrestling exhibition in the studio. Under the close control of guest floor manager Dave Dee, there's also comedy from Kevin McCarthy, and music from Dee Rall.
