This movie never fails to entertain and engage! A great adaptation of one of the best things Stephen King has ever written, and in my opinion one of the best feature film debuts of any director! It's a wonderfully moving tale of unconditional friendship between men and how hope can set you free
It's so confidently told with an elegant simplicity. I've seen it many times and I'm hard-pressed to find many faults in it.

I can't watch this movie and not be moved. Everytime I see it, it drives me to near tears! It's got unabashed sentimentality and emotion, but why does that have to be a bad thing?! That fire roast scene the night before the final battle gets me every time! It's got a great cast, great music and sound, and a special place in my heart.
