Longest Running Horror Franchises
If I left out any franchises, let me know. I only included films with at least 3 entries. Many of the films at the bottom have so many remakes and sequels through the years that it is too difficult for me to take the time to trace, so if you have an exact number for Dracula films or Phantom of the opera etc., let me know.

- DirectorRob SperaStarsAnat TopolGary SloanMary ShelleyGrace Churchill delivers her healthy baby William and is visited by her husband John Stocton and her best friend Linda. When they leave the hospital, they go to the mansion of Grace's mother-in-law Elizabeth Stocton, and not home. Soon Grace feels weird things happening in the house and meets the strange butler Ellsworth. When her friend, Priest, visits her, he feels evil in the house and gives a crucifix to Grace and then he dies. Soon Linda finds a book in a secret room in the house and learns that John and Elizabeth are witches from 1687, but she dies before she can tell to Grace. What will happen to Grace and her baby?Thirteen chapters in this god awful series. Its amazing how long a franchise can last when you splice it with soft-core porn. Best entries: none/I have only seen like two of these, and I can't remember which ones, but they were horrible
- DirectorGeorge A. RomeroStarsDuane JonesJudith O'DeaKarl HardmanA ragtag group of Pennsylvanians barricade themselves in an old farmhouse to remain safe from a horde of flesh-eating ghouls that are ravaging the Northeast of the United States. Its hard to tally up how many are in this series. There are six originals made by Romero. Now for the remakes and unofficial sequels... Day of the Dead 2, Day of the Dead remake, Dawn of the Dead remake, NotLD remake by Savini, NotLD 3D, and NotLD: Reanimated. There's probably more, but I think that totals to 12. Best entries: the original trilogy by Romero
