1. Marlon Brando

Actor | Apocalypse Now

Marlon Brando is widely considered the greatest movie actor of all time, rivaled only by the more theatrically oriented Laurence Olivier in terms of esteem. Unlike Olivier, who preferred the stage to the screen, Brando concentrated his talents on movies after bidding the Broadway stage adieu in ...

Mumbling is apparently the way to be good at acting. Started out really well but that’s not to say he is different from other actors who show promise early in there career. He hit the (role) nail on the head in Godfather-bravo- but really how much acting quality did he show in the film, compared to the rest of the cast? Also once you win an Oscar its like you don’t have to try any more, roles are written for you, rather than trying to actually act.

love-hate thing. He was originally a comedian, a good one too, then he abandoned his comedy skills for a long series of so-called important films, socially responsible films with ‘profound’ messages and long running times… err bore, get over yourself Tom, step off the pedestal and stop taking your self so seriously!

a good actress to be fair but not a show stopper which people seem to think she is. If Nicole has an Oscar then Laura Linney or Annette Bening should deffinately have had one by now.

A lot of the same type of performances for me. Another person who it either looks like roles are written for him rather than him trying to act them...or he chooses roles that are not hard for him to execute thus never coming out of his comfort zone.

Seems an arrogant, wooden actor to me. He has been in transformers but needs to transform himself, from a rubbish actor into a good one. I don’t believe he loves acting and does it because he loves the celebrity that comes with the lifestyle. Just because you have been in films that are ‘blockbusters’ doesn’t make you one!

Critics seem to dig Marky Mark for some reason. He has fortunately been in a few decent movies but for me that only makes you a promising actor and i think he is on the up in the acting world but why people seem to think he is already a top star actor is beyond me.

fair enough he has been in funny movies, but he is one trick pony and he is held in too high a regard for me… Steve Carrell or Seth Rogan are smarter and better.

Don’t quite no what to make of this guy. Looks like he was manufactured by the film industry but acts bewildered, wondering how he has got so much attention. Its like he would rather be doing something else (exercising at the beach most probably! Lol) but acting is paying the bills so might aswell do it.

i do like him and fair play he made it big by himself by creating Rocky. He is a fairly decent action hero but apart from that his is not much else, and for me is so OVERLY celebrated. Also inducted into the boxing hall of fame (?) sorry what? Does this mean we should induct Tom Cruise into the fighter pilot hall of fame or make him an actual secret agent?!
