Votes: 695,125 | Gross: $127.51M

Awesome movie, I cried like a baby at the end. Lots of interesting life lessons and quotes. Sure to alienate some people, but I personally think this is a beautiful film.

2. The Dark Knight (2008)

Votes: 2,867,093 | Gross: $534.86M

The fanboys are still going crazy about this one...

Through a series of freak occurrences, a group of actors shooting a big-budget war movie are forced to become the soldiers they are portraying.

Director: Ben Stiller | Stars: Ben Stiller, Jack Black, Robert Downey Jr., Jeff Kahn

Votes: 447,521 | Gross: $110.52M

I had extremely low expectations for this movie, but it blew them out of the water. This movie is hilarious and full of great action scenes and quotes. Heartily recommended!

4. Gran Torino (2008)

R | 116 min | Drama

72 Metascore

After a Hmong teenager tries to steal his prized 1972 Gran Torino, a disgruntled, prejudiced Korean War veteran seeks to redeem both the boy and himself.

Director: Clint Eastwood | Stars: Clint Eastwood, Bee Vang, Christopher Carley, Ahney Her

Votes: 814,315 | Gross: $148.10M

Sometimes it's unintentionally funny, but it's hard to deny that Clint can still kick ass.

5. Let the Right One In (2008)

R | 114 min | Drama, Fantasy, Horror

82 Metascore

Oskar, an overlooked and bullied boy, finds love and revenge through Eli, a beautiful but peculiar girl.

Director: Tomas Alfredson | Stars: Kåre Hedebrant, Lina Leandersson, Per Ragnar, Henrik Dahl

Votes: 226,635 | Gross: $2.12M

I don't typically like vampire movies, but this one is an exception. It is a well-made horror film with a lot of thought-provoking ideas in play. However, most importantly, at the center of it all is a simple story of friendship between a boy and girl. Awww...

6. Iron Man (2008)

PG-13 | 126 min | Action, Adventure, Sci-Fi

79 Metascore

After being held captive in an Afghan cave, billionaire engineer Tony Stark creates a unique weaponized suit of armor to fight evil.

Director: Jon Favreau | Stars: Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Terrence Howard, Jeff Bridges

Votes: 1,123,639 | Gross: $318.41M

This one really surprised people when it came out, most outside the comic nerds hadn't even heard of Iron Man before.

7. Cloverfield (2008)

PG-13 | 85 min | Horror, Sci-Fi, Thriller

64 Metascore

A group of friends venture deep into the streets of New York on a rescue mission during a rampaging monster attack.

Director: Matt Reeves | Stars: Mike Vogel, Jessica Lucas, Lizzy Caplan, T.J. Miller

Votes: 420,294 | Gross: $80.05M

Say what you will about the handheld camera genre, but Cloverfield uses it to its full potential.

8. Hellboy II: The Golden Army (2008)

PG-13 | 120 min | Action, Adventure, Fantasy

78 Metascore

A prince of the mythical world starts a rebellion against humanity in order to rule the Earth. Hellboy and his team must fight to stop him from locating the all-powerful Golden Army.

Director: Guillermo del Toro | Stars: Ron Perlman, Selma Blair, Doug Jones, John Alexander

Votes: 285,748 | Gross: $75.75M

Hellboy II's narrative focus can be a bit scattershot at times, but it more than makes up for it by being wildly imaginative and a hell of a fun time.

9. Treevenge (2008)

16 min | Short, Comedy, Horror

Christmas trees ripped out of their forest plan revenge against people enjoying the holidays.

Director: Jason Eisener | Stars: Jonathan Torrens, Sarah Dunsworth, Maris Morgan, Jayden Taylor

Votes: 2,833

Holy *beep* Jason Eisener is one *beep* up dude. Luckily he makes hilariously screwed up retro-horror-comedies like this one. Well worth tracking down with a simple Google search!

10. Martyrs (2008)

R | 99 min | Horror

A young woman's quest for revenge against the people who kidnapped and tormented her as a child leads her and a friend, who is also a victim of child abuse, on a terrifying journey into a living hell of depravity.

Director: Pascal Laugier | Stars: Morjana Alaoui, Mylène Jampanoï, Catherine Bégin, Robert Toupin

Votes: 106,258

Artfully made, but an absolutely miserable experience from start to finish, Martyrs is one of those movies that sticks with you. Martyrs shows up many of its torture porn contemporaries, demonstrating that you can have near-constant suffering through its runtime, but still deliver an interesting message about surviving through abuse and finding purpose in the face of unimaginable sorrow.

11. Appaloosa (2008)

R | 115 min | Action, Crime, Drama

64 Metascore

Two friends hired to police a small town that is suffering under the rule of a rancher find their job complicated by the arrival of a young widow.

Director: Ed Harris | Stars: Ed Harris, Viggo Mortensen, Renée Zellweger, Jeremy Irons

Votes: 64,688 | Gross: $20.21M

The first half is very good, but it begins to drag in the second half, which hurt my overall opinion of the movie.

12. Wanted (2008)

R | 110 min | Action, Crime, Thriller

64 Metascore

A frustrated office worker discovers that he is the son of a professional assassin, and that he shares his father's superhuman killing abilities.

Director: Timur Bekmambetov | Stars: Angelina Jolie, James McAvoy, Morgan Freeman, Terence Stamp

Votes: 408,253 | Gross: $134.51M

An immensely entertaining, stylish, over-the-top action fest.

13. Che: Part One (2008)

Not Rated | 134 min | Biography, Drama, History

In 1956, Ernesto 'Che' Guevara and a band of Castro-led Cuban exiles mobilize an army to topple the regime of dictator Fulgencio Batista.

Director: Steven Soderbergh | Stars: Julia Ormond, Benicio Del Toro, Oscar Isaac, Pablo Guevara

Votes: 47,928 | Gross: $1.80M

An interesting look into the Cuban Revolution and the iconic revolutionary. I'm sure that one could enjoy this easily, politics aside.

14. Defiance (I) (2008)

R | 137 min | Action, Drama, History

58 Metascore

Jewish brothers in German-occupied Eastern Europe escape into a Belorussian forest, where they join Russian resistance fighters, and endeavor to build a village, in order to protect themselves and about one thousand Jewish non-combatants.

Director: Edward Zwick | Stars: Daniel Craig, Liev Schreiber, Jamie Bell, Alexa Davalos

Votes: 155,577 | Gross: $28.64M

An enjoyably different war drama.

15. Rogue (2007)

R | 99 min | Action, Drama, Horror

An American journalist on assignment in the Australian outback encounters a man-eating crocodile while trapped on a rapidly flooding mud island.

Director: Greg McLean | Stars: Michael Vartan, Radha Mitchell, Sam Worthington, Caroline Brazier

Votes: 33,378 | Gross: $0.01M

A deceptively great monster horror flick. Seriously, who looked at the cover for this and said "this is going to legitimately rock"? Lots of broken tropes here, you're going to be second-guessing everything that happens.

16. Rambo (2008)

R | 92 min | Action, Adventure, Thriller

46 Metascore

In Thailand, John Rambo joins a group of mercenaries to venture into war-torn Burma, and rescue a group of Christian aid workers who were kidnapped by the ruthless local infantry unit.

Director: Sylvester Stallone | Stars: Sylvester Stallone, Julie Benz, Matthew Marsden, Graham McTavish

Votes: 244,365 | Gross: $42.75M

Easily the most violent movie I've ever seen (and I've seen some pretty violent films).

17. Zack and Miri Make a Porno (2008)

R | 101 min | Comedy, Romance

56 Metascore

Lifelong platonic friends Zack and Miri look to solve their respective cash-flow problems by making an adult film together. As the cameras roll, however, the duo begin to sense that they may have more feelings for each other than they previously thought.

Director: Kevin Smith | Stars: Seth Rogen, Elizabeth Banks, Craig Robinson, Gerry Bednob

Votes: 182,224 | Gross: $31.46M

Aside from the raunchy humour, this is basically just a standard romantic comedy. That said, Seth Rogen and Elizabeth Banks absolutely carry it by themselves and make it quite enjoyable and funny.

18. Get Smart (2008)

PG-13 | 110 min | Action, Adventure, Comedy

54 Metascore

Maxwell Smart, a highly intellectual but bumbling spy working for the CONTROL agency, is tasked with preventing a terrorist attack from rival spy agency KAOS.

Director: Peter Segal | Stars: Steve Carell, Anne Hathaway, Alan Arkin, Dwayne Johnson

Votes: 228,500 | Gross: $130.32M

I was surprised by how funny and enjoyable this was. Not as good as the TV show of course, but it is a good spoof of modern spy films.

19. The Rocker (2008)

PG-13 | 102 min | Comedy, Music

53 Metascore

In the 1980s, a drummer is abandoned by his band just before they become rock superstars. Twenty years later, the drummer sees his second chance at stardom arise when he is asked to perform with his teenage nephew's high school rock band.

Director: Peter Cattaneo | Stars: Rainn Wilson, Josh Gad, Christina Applegate, Teddy Geiger

Votes: 40,192 | Gross: $6.41M

Another surprise comedy, I never expected this to be any good.

20. Vantage Point (2008)

PG-13 | 90 min | Action, Crime, Drama

40 Metascore

The attempted assassination of the American President is told and re-told from several different perspectives.

Director: Pete Travis | Stars: Dennis Quaid, Forest Whitaker, Matthew Fox, Bruce McGill

Votes: 154,022 | Gross: $72.27M

Makes good use of its premise, even if it is repetitive.

21. Quantum of Solace (2008)

PG-13 | 106 min | Action, Adventure, Mystery

58 Metascore

James Bond descends into mystery as he tries to stop a mysterious organisation from eliminating a country's most valuable resource.

Director: Marc Forster | Stars: Daniel Craig, Olga Kurylenko, Mathieu Amalric, Judi Dench

Votes: 470,479 | Gross: $168.37M

One of the weaker Bond films, but the middle section of the film is pretty good.

22. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008)

PG-13 | 122 min | Action, Adventure

65 Metascore

Indiana Jones becomes entangled in a Soviet plot to uncover the secret behind mysterious artifacts known as the Crystal Skulls.

Director: Steven Spielberg | Stars: Harrison Ford, Cate Blanchett, Shia LaBeouf, Karen Allen

Votes: 491,079 | Gross: $317.10M

I'm gonna get flak for this but I didn't hate this movie. In fact, I like it more than The Temple of Doom, if only because I didn't have to listen to Willie Scott scream for half the movie. Yes, the fridge scene is moronic, yes Mutt swinging with the monkeys is stupid and yes the script is pretty weak. But no, I don't see why everyone, literally EVERYONE, loathed the aliens...

23. Resident Evil: Degeneration (2008)

R | 98 min | Animation, Action, Horror

Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield must battle a rogue warrior seeking revenge after unleashing the deadly G-Virus, whilst a mutated monster goes on a rampage.

Director: Makoto Kamiya | Stars: Paul Mercier, Alyson Court, Laura Bailey, Roger Craig Smith

Votes: 33,182

Easily the best Resident Evil movie out there.

24. The Incredible Hulk (2008)

PG-13 | 112 min | Action, Adventure, Sci-Fi

61 Metascore

Bruce Banner, a scientist on the run from the U.S. Government, must find a cure for the monster he turns into whenever he loses his temper.

Director: Louis Leterrier | Stars: Edward Norton, Liv Tyler, Tim Roth, William Hurt

Votes: 523,032 | Gross: $134.52M

In terms of overall quality, this is better than the previous Hulk film, but it's not a particularly great movie in its own regard. Everyone puts in a flat performance at best (even the normally good Edward Norton, and Liv Tyler was the worst of the bunch). Luckily the HULK SMASH action is good, but it's definitely a case of leave your brain at the door cinema.

25. Pineapple Express (2008)

R | 111 min | Action, Comedy, Crime

64 Metascore

A process server and his marijuana dealer wind up on the run from hitmen and a corrupt police officer after he witnesses his dealer's boss murder a competitor while trying to serve papers on him.

Director: David Gordon Green | Stars: Seth Rogen, James Franco, Gary Cole, Danny McBride

Votes: 357,153 | Gross: $87.34M

As you can probably imagine, Pineapple Express is quite stupid (intentionally), but it is also quite funny and rather heartfelt. Even if you don't love stoner comedies (and I actually don't particularly like them), you might find something to enjoy here.

26. 21 (2008)

PG-13 | 123 min | Crime, Drama, Thriller

48 Metascore

Inspired by real events and people, 21 is about six MIT students who become trained to be experts in card counting in Black Jack and subsequently took Vegas casinos for millions in winnings.

Director: Robert Luketic | Stars: Jim Sturgess, Kate Bosworth, Kevin Spacey, Aaron Yoo

Votes: 266,299 | Gross: $81.16M

An interesting movie (although, to be honest, I can't say I understood card counting at all). It's better than I've heard it was, but it starts to get bad towards the latter-end of the movie.

27. One Week (I) (2008)

Not Rated | 94 min | Adventure, Drama

Chronicles the motorcycle trip of Ben Tyler as he rides from Toronto to Tofino, British Columbia. Ben stops at landmarks that are both iconic and idiosyncratic on his quest to find meaning in his life.

Director: Michael McGowan | Stars: Joshua Jackson, Peter Spence, Marc Strange, Gage Munroe

Votes: 12,042

A humorous little Canadian production. Painfully cliche, but well-made none-the-less.

28. House (2008)

R | 88 min | Horror

24 Metascore

In rural Alabama, two couples find themselves in a fight for survival. Running from a maniac (The Tin Man) bent on killing them, they flee deep into the woods and seek refuge in a house.

Director: Robby Henson | Stars: Reynaldo Rosales, Heidi Dippold, Michael Madsen, Julie Ann Emery

Votes: 6,108 | Gross: $0.57M

As far as Christian movies go, this one is actually not too bad... until the end, when they feth things up so badly that I literally removed a whole star and a half from my score. Also, those who haven't read the book will probably be baffled as to what's happening.

29. Passchendaele (2008)

R | 114 min | Drama, History, Romance

The lives of a troubled veteran, his nurse girlfriend and a naive boy intersect first in Alberta and then in Belgium during the bloody World War I battle of Passchendaele.

Director: Paul Gross | Stars: Paul Gross, Michael Greyeyes, James Kot, Jesse Frechette

Votes: 8,797

The battle sequences are amazing, but the film puts too much emphasis on the weak romance. Everyone expected this movie to be about the battle of Passchendaele, so this is very disappointing. This is around the point in the list when the movies start getting bad.

30. The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (2008)

PG | 150 min | Action, Adventure, Family

62 Metascore

The Pevensie siblings return to Narnia, where they are enlisted to once again help ward off an evil king and restore the rightful heir to the land's throne, Prince Caspian.

Director: Andrew Adamson | Stars: Ben Barnes, Skandar Keynes, Georgie Henley, William Moseley

Votes: 225,281 | Gross: $141.62M

I really liked the first Narnia movie, but this one really fell flat. I'm not entirely sure why either, although the loss of a central villain would likely be one of the main reasons.

31. The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008)

PG-13 | 112 min | Action, Adventure, Fantasy

31 Metascore

In the Far East, Alex O'Connell, the son of famed mummy fighters Rick and Evy O'Connell, unearths the mummy of the first Emperor of Qin -- a shape-shifting entity cursed by a witch centuries ago.

Director: Rob Cohen | Stars: Brendan Fraser, Jet Li, Maria Bello, Michelle Yeoh

Votes: 170,515 | Gross: $102.49M

Honestly, this series should never have gotten to a third movie, all the Mummy remakes sucked.

32. Hancock (2008)

PG-13 | 92 min | Action, Comedy, Drama

49 Metascore

Hancock is a superhero whose ill-considered behavior regularly causes damage in the millions. He changes when the person he saves helps him improve his public image.

Director: Peter Berg | Stars: Will Smith, Charlize Theron, Jason Bateman, Jae Head

Votes: 511,225 | Gross: $227.95M

Disappointingly bad.

33. The Ruins (2008)

R | 90 min | Adventure, Horror, Thriller

44 Metascore

A leisurely Mexican holiday takes a turn for the worse when a group of friends and a fellow tourist embark on a remote archaeological dig in the jungle, where something evil lives among the ruins.

Director: Carter Smith | Stars: Shawn Ashmore, Jena Malone, Jonathan Tucker, Laura Ramsey

Votes: 84,144 | Gross: $17.43M

Certainly not the worst movie about killer plants which came out this year, The Ruins mainly suffers from being... boring. It's only an hour and a half in length, and sure there's a lot of rather brutal violence, but most of it feels like a total slog. It's not terrible, but is definitely marred by poor execution.

34. Punisher: War Zone (2008)

R | 103 min | Action, Crime, Drama

30 Metascore

Frank Castle, known as the Punisher, ruthlessly demolishes organized crime, but it starts an even bigger war.

Director: Lexi Alexander | Stars: Ray Stevenson, Dominic West, Julie Benz, Doug Hutchison

Votes: 67,134 | Gross: $8.05M

Punisher: War Zone is a mess of a movie, one you can just tell from watching it was hacked apart in the editing room, which really hurts the pacing and makes the action scenes incoherent. It's also kinda fucked up how much the movie wants to make us believe that Frank Castle is a hero by the end, to the point where even the woman he's widowed doesn't think it's a big deal that he's going on indiscriminate murder sprees that result in collateral damage every once in a while. That said, this movie is just too cartoonishly brutal and Dominic West's hammy performance as Jigsaw is too fun to not be at least entertained by this movie and I really appreciate how much it leans into its comic book origins.

35. Yes Man (2008)

PG-13 | 104 min | Comedy, Romance

46 Metascore

A man challenges himself to say "yes" to everything.

Director: Peyton Reed | Stars: Jim Carrey, Zooey Deschanel, Bradley Cooper, John Michael Higgins

Votes: 382,863 | Gross: $97.69M

Bleh, not that funny and why the hell would you say "yes" to literally everything? I think it's supposed to be profound, but it fails.

36. Bedtime Stories (2008)

PG | 99 min | Adventure, Comedy, Family

33 Metascore

A hotel handyman's life changes when the lavish bedtime stories he tells his niece and nephew start to magically come true.

Director: Adam Shankman | Stars: Adam Sandler, Keri Russell, Courteney Cox, Guy Pearce

Votes: 101,212 | Gross: $110.10M

Puke. This movie was really, really stupid.

37. Superhero Movie (2008)

PG-13 | 75 min | Action, Comedy, Sci-Fi

33 Metascore

Orphaned high school student Rick Riker is bitten by a radioactive dragonfly, develops super powers (except for the ability to fly), and becomes a hero.

Director: Craig Mazin | Stars: Drake Bell, Leslie Nielsen, Sara Paxton, Christopher McDonald

Votes: 75,459 | Gross: $26.64M

As far as the ____ Movies go, this one isn't awful... but it's still far from "good".

38. Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed (2008)

PG | 90 min | Documentary

20 Metascore

Ben Stein examines the issue of academic freedom and decides that there is none when it comes to the debate over intelligent design.

Director: Nathan Frankowski | Stars: Ben Stein, Lili Asvar, Peter Atkins, Hector Avalos

Votes: 12,194 | Gross: $7.69M

I enjoyed this a little more than Religulous, if only because Ben Stein is marginally less infuriating than Bill Maher. As for the content... well, it's very hit-or-miss (or, as my friend likes to put it, it's a load of intelligent design propaganda BS).

39. Twilight (I) (2008)

PG-13 | 122 min | Drama, Fantasy, Romance

56 Metascore

When Bella Swan moves to a small town in the Pacific Northwest, she falls in love with Edward Cullen, a mysterious classmate who reveals himself to be a 108-year-old vampire.

Director: Catherine Hardwicke | Stars: Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Billy Burke, Sarah Clarke

Votes: 487,141 | Gross: $192.77M

There isn't much about this one that hasn't been said already, so I'll let it speak for itself...

40. Dead Space: Downfall (2008 Video)

Not Rated | 74 min | Animation, Horror, Sci-Fi

A team of miners at an outpost in deep space unearth an ancient alien artefact. After the relic is brought aboard their spaceship, the USG Ishimura, for scientific study, an alien species begins to infect the members of the ship.

Directors: Chuck Patton, Curt Geda, Vinton Heuck | Stars: Nika Futterman, Keith Szarabajka, Jim Cummings, Kevin Michael Richardson

Votes: 11,443

I like Dead Space, but this is just a bad movie. While it does give a bit of insight into the Aegis 7 incident, this interesting background is obviously just used as a vehicle for the animators to kill people in increasingly gory ways. On top of that, the animation is really choppy as well.

41. Doomsday (I) (2008)

R | 105 min | Action, Sci-Fi, Thriller

51 Metascore

A futuristic action thriller where a team of people work to prevent a disaster threatening the future of the human race.

Director: Neil Marshall | Stars: Rhona Mitra, Bob Hoskins, Alexander Siddig, Caryn Peterson

Votes: 79,880 | Gross: $10.96M

Ugh, Neil Marshall, how could you? Dog Soldiers and The Descent are amazing films, and then when you get a budget, you go and make this?

42. The Happening (2008)

R | 91 min | Adventure, Drama, Sci-Fi

34 Metascore

A science teacher, his wife, and a young girl struggle to survive a plague that causes those infected to commit suicide.

Director: M. Night Shyamalan | Stars: Mark Wahlberg, Zooey Deschanel, John Leguizamo, Ashlyn Sanchez

Votes: 216,343 | Gross: $64.51M

-Sigh- M. Night Shyamalan, what happened to you?

43. Religulous (2008)

R | 101 min | Documentary, Comedy, War

56 Metascore

Bill Maher's take on the current state of world religion.

Director: Larry Charles | Stars: Bill Maher, Tal Bachman, Jonathan Boulden, Steven Burg

Votes: 60,231 | Gross: $13.00M

Crap. Full of poor research, deceptive editing and a dearth of laughs. To make things even worse, it stars the face-punchingly smug Bill Maher, and has one of the most ridiculously illogical, non-sequitur endings I've ever seen in a documentary.

44. Max Payne (2008)

PG-13 | 100 min | Action, Crime, Drama

31 Metascore

Coming together to solve a series of murders in New York City are a police detective and an assassin, who will be hunted by the police, the mob, and a ruthless corporation.

Director: John Moore | Stars: Mark Wahlberg, Mila Kunis, Beau Bridges, Ludacris

Votes: 130,126 | Gross: $40.69M

Max Payne is a disjointed mess. While you could trash the acting, the script, editing, etc, the movie's biggest sin is that it's just plain dull. The only real nice thing you can say about it is that the cinematography is very pretty, but you know what they say about putting makeup on a pig...

45. Maternal Obsession (2008 TV Movie)

TV-PG | 94 min | Drama, Mystery, Thriller

A lonely woman sabotages any relationship that her daughter tries to maintain.

Director: Douglas Jackson | Stars: Nicholle Tom, Gwynyth Walsh, Cameron Daddo, Kim Bubbs

Votes: 411

I saw this on TV, and it saw SO hilariously melodramatic and over the top that it has to be seen to be believed.

46. Far Cry (2008)

R | 95 min | Action, Adventure, Sci-Fi

An ex-special forces soldier turned boatman is hired by a journalist to investigate a top-secret military base on a nearby island.

Director: Uwe Boll | Stars: Til Schweiger, Emmanuelle Vaugier, Natalia Avelon, Udo Kier

Votes: 14,924

My first Uwe Boll experience, and boy did it live up to expectations... that is, it was bafflingly stupid.

47. Saw V (2008)

R | 92 min | Horror, Thriller

20 Metascore

Following Jigsaw's grisly demise, Mark Hoffman is commended as a hero, but Agent Strahm is suspicious, and delves into Hoffman's past. Meanwhile, another group of people are put through a series of gruesome tests.

Director: David Hackl | Stars: Scott Patterson, Costas Mandylor, Tobin Bell, Betsy Russell

Votes: 137,486 | Gross: $56.75M

Pointless, and disgusting. At least previous Saw movies were interesting, this one is lost.

48. Postal (2007)

R | 100 min | Action, Comedy, Crime

22 Metascore

In the ironically named city of Paradise, a loser teams up with his cult-leading uncle to steal a peculiar bounty of riches from their local amusement park. The recently arrived Taliban have a similar focus, but a far more sinister intent.

Director: Uwe Boll | Stars: Zack Ward, David Foley, Verne Troyer, Chris Coppola

Votes: 24,093 | Gross: $18.01M

This movie is totally tasteless and a terrible excuse for satire (need pointers for shock-satire that works Uwe? Try "Team America"). However, despite my better judgment, I did find myself laughing occasionally. There are some good jokes (particularly Uwe's cameo and many of the al Queda sequences), but most of them fall flat and the movie lacks any form of subtlety whatsoever.

49. Warbirds (2008 TV Movie)

85 min | Action, Adventure, Comedy

During WWII, a pilot and her crew carry a small group of American soldiers and an unknown cargo. However they get caught in a storm and they are forced to land in what is thought to be ... See full summary »

Director: Kevin Gendreau | Stars: Jamie Elle Mann, Brian Krause, Tohoru Masamune, Shauna Rappold

Votes: 1,003

Not *quite* as bad as you'd expect, but it's still a totally brain-dead sci-fi original.

50. Beyond Loch Ness (2008 TV Movie)

R | 91 min | Action, Adventure, Comedy

A rash of suspiciously gruesome murders in a sleepy lakeside town has authorities stumped. They soon realize the culprit is not only connected to the lake, but in it. They must figure out what it is and how to stop it before it's too late.

Director: Paul Ziller | Stars: Brian Krause, Niall Matter, Don S. Davis, Donnelly Rhodes

Votes: 2,099

Hilariously stupid sci-fi monster movie fun.

51. Lost City Raiders (2008 TV Movie)

PG-13 | 90 min | Action, Adventure, Sci-Fi

The year is 2048, and global warming has flooded much of Earth's land areas. A father and his two sons try to salvage treasures from sunken buildings when they are given an important assignment by the New Vatican.

Director: Jean de Segonzac | Stars: James Brolin, Ian Somerhalder, Bettina Zimmermann, Jamie Thomas King

Votes: 2,805

Incredibly cheap movie full of hilariously bad acting, plot and effects. The McGuffin is literally a staff made of plastic. Funny, but painfully so.
