- DirectorGeorge CollinsStarsJames WarwickPeter JessopLance LeGaultFeatured game.Nearly 13 years on from its release and Battlezone II still has a thriving community of players, modders and map-makers - despite never being very big in the first place. This highly-underrated hybrid game fuses the adrenalin of first-person shooter with the tactics and planning of real-time strategy. Definitely the best game I've ever played.
BATTLEZONE II WILL NEVER DIE! - DirectorAndrew GoldmanBill BlackStarsSteve BlumPhil ProctorDoug StoneThe 1969 moon landing was a cover up, but not in the way that conspiracy theorists predicted. It was a distraction from the rockets the military secretly sent to the moon to investigate a strange metal found in a meteorite containing properties of artificial intelligence. Play as the commander of the National Space Defense Force, a division of the United States military stationed on the moon during the Cold War. Your mission is to investigate the bio-metal and research its use as armor and weapons far beyond our technological capabilities. When you arrive to begin the research, an old enemy appears: the Soviet Union and its Cosmo Colonist Army. Race them across the solar system collecting alien artifacts in an effort to understand where the bio-metal came from before the Soviets develop weapons to destroy you. But be careful; you may uncover an ancient enemy with the ability to destroy every human back on Earth. This game plays like a real-time strategy game but also gives you a first-person shooter view for attacking enemies. Really, the gameplay is quite impressive considering the time it was made. Unfortunately this game was really the last of its genre, but it is very enjoyable and any RTS fans would love it.This was the first game that I'm aware of to blend FPS with RTS. Everything was great about it - the gameplay, the storyline and even the graphics weren't to shoddy for a 90s game. Even more importantly, it set the stage for Battlezone II.
- DirectorJason JonesStarsJen TaylorPete StackerTim DadaboSuper-soldier John-117, Master Chief of the United Nations Space Command, must battle a genocidal alien race known as the Covenant following his violent crash-landing on Halo, an ancient and mysterious ring-world.Halo revolutionised first-person shooter games, showing the world that shooters CAN be played on consoles. More than that, though, was how brilliantly the game was done. As I played it I felt as if I actually *was* saving the universe, and every level had a sense of 'epicness' (which the sequels unfortunately lacked). In addition, it has the best and most memorable music score out of any game I've ever played - and most movies too.
- DirectorPatrick BachTobias FalkLars GustavssonStarsDavid MenkinBruce Lester-JohnsonNigel WhitmeyBravo 2 are back, and are wanting to go home more than ever.A mediocre single-player campaign is more than made up for by a thoroughly enjoyable and memorable multiplayer, which it is almost impossible to get bored of.
- StarsDee Bradley BakerJulie BenzHamilton CampAs the alien Covenant invade Earth, the Master Chief must defend humanity's homeworld whilst discovering more about the rings called "Halo."While the single player campaign in Halo 2 was nowhere near as fun, exciting, epic or engaging as the first (it's still a pretty good campaign, though), the game makes up for it with an awesome multiplayer. Halo games always felt like a challenge of skill, whereas CoD games just seem to me to be down to luck.
- DirectorSefton HillStarsCarlos AlazraquiLaura BaileyTroy BakerWith his back against the wall, Batman turns to his closest allies to help him save Gotham City from the clutches of Scarecrow and the Arkham Knight's army. A familiar face also returns to give The Dark Knight a message he cannot ignore.
- DirectorBenoit RicherStarsCarlos AlazraquiLaura BaileyTroy BakerYears before the Arkham incidents, the neophyte Dark Knight finds himself the target of an open murder contract courtesy of Black Mask that draws eight of the world's deadliest assassins and a new criminal named The Joker.
- DirectorSefton HillStarsKevin ConroyMark HamillDavid KayeWhen part of Gotham is turned into a private reserve for criminals known as Arkham City, all hell is sure to break loose, and the Dark Knight is the only one who can stop it.
- DirectorStig AsmussenStarsCameron MonaghanDaniel RoebuckDebra WilsonSet shortly after Revenge of the Sith, the player takes on the role of a Jedi padawan being hunted by the Empire after Order 66.
- DirectorTom KeeganStarsGideon EmeryGlenn MorshowerThor EdgellStep into the role of the elite U.S. Marines and experience heart-pounding single player missions and competitive multiplayer action ranging across diverse locations from around the globe. This game is more like a warfare simulator than a game. It is realistic in almost every possible way a game can be without making it unplayable. In BF3, you don't just run around the place shooting at people and knifing them over five-metre distances like in Call of Duty. You move from cover to cover, trying to flank your enemy and working with your team. Grenades and rockets will blow buildings to pieces. And, unlike CoD, you can drive vehicles.
There is no other way of saying it. Battlefield 3 IS warfare. - StarsJeff BennettBilly Dee WilliamsMark KlastorinYou guide mercenary Kyle Katarn, who must stop the evil plot of a renegade Jedi by relearning his skills as a Jedi Knight.
