- DirectorArthur HillerStarsShelley LongBette MidlerPeter CoyoteTwo women unknowingly share the same man, but when he disappears, both go out looking for him and enter his surprisingly dangerous life. Two aspiring actresses who hate each other in love with the same man, spies, roadtrips, lively banter, a great time.
- DirectorSusan SeidelmanStarsMeryl StreepRoseanne BarrEd Begley Jr.A surprisingly resourceful housewife vows revenge on her husband when he begins an affair with a wealthy romance novelist.A plain jane goes on a life long plan of vengence when a beautiful author steals her husband. Revenge, underdog transforms into sucessful business woman, hot pool boys, a overlooked camp classic
- DirectorRuss MeyerStarsDolly ReadCynthia MyersMarcia McBroomThree girls come to Hollywood to make it big, but find only sex, drugs, and sleaze.Screw the 1967 original, the 1970 sexplotation (not a sequel, sequel) is one of the best worst movies ever made. Wild sex, drugs, nudity, rock bands, murder, lesbians, gay guys, more drugs... this is an average Saturday night in Miami! a must see
- DirectorJames SignorelliStarsCassandra PetersonPhil RubensteinLarry Flash Jenkins"Elvira: Mistress of the Dark" is a 1988 comedy, horror movie - upon arriving in a small town where Elvira has inherited a rundown mansion, the famous horror host must battle an evil uncle, and townspeople who want her burned at the stake.Elvira rocks this campfest of big boobs, revenge, hot guy next door, and small town values blown too bits.
- DirectorDarren SteinStarsRose McGowanRebecca GayheartJulie BenzThree of the most popular girls at Reagan High accidentally kill the prom queen with a jawbreaker when a kidnapping goes horribly wrong.Love this movie! it has every horrible human quality a high school girl can have.
- DirectorBryan ForbesStarsKatharine RossPaula PrentissPeter MastersonJoanna Eberhart has come to the quaint little town of Stepford, Connecticut with her family, but soon discovers there lies a sinister truth in the all too perfect behavior of the female residents. Not the HORRIBLE Nicole Kidman remake, but the fantastic orginal starring the lovely Katherine Ross. I love Stepford, I wish there was such a place....for gay guys I mean
- DirectorAlexander MackendrickStarsTony CurtisClaudia CardinaleRobert WebberCarlo goes on a vacation to Southern California, where he quickly becomes immersed in the easygoing local culture and becomes entangled in two beach-side romances.Sexy con artist, Malibu beach house, Claudia Cardinale, this lightweight comedy also stars the late and beautiful Sharon Tate. The story is simple but the special effect laden ending is pretty impressive for a film made in 1967, great 60's camp.
- DirectorJerry ParisStarsJames GarnerDebbie ReynoldsMaurice RonetPhotographer Grif Henderson is assigned a photo shoot in Paris. He decides to take his wife Jenny and his hippie son Davey with him on the shoot. Jenny unknowingly rents a house that belongs to a French lawyer. She must fend off his charms and stay true to Grif, while he likewise tries to stay true to her on the shoot. The hot James Garner in his prime, campy 60's fashions, world travel and a really funny story make this a must see.
- DirectorHoward MorrisStarsJackie GleasonEstelle ParsonsTed BessellThe Hollander family's European vacation is interrupted when their plane is forced to land in Vulgaria. The Hollanders leave the plane to take pictures which results in accusations of spying. Chased by Vulgarian soldiers, they take refuge in the American Embassy under the protection of the absent ambassador's hapless son.I'm not a Jackie Gleason fan but Estelle Parsons STEALS this movie right out from under him. Ted Bessell from "That Girl" also stars in another lightweight 60's comedy full of great 60's fashion and international intrigue.
- DirectorFrank TashlinStarsDoris DayRichard HarrisRay WalstonAn industrial designer causes chaos when she sells a secret cosmetics formula to a rival company.I love this movie, critics and Doris herself hated it and I don't understand why. Fantastic 60's fashions, Doris looking too groovy and breaking out of her constant virgin role. Great camp fun
- DirectorHugh WilsonStarsGoldie HawnBette MidlerDiane KeatonReunited by the death of a college friend, three divorced women seek revenge on the husbands who left them for younger women.Revenge times 3! love it, this is a classic and if you have not seen it you should hang your little gay head in shame! Goldie, Bette, Diane it was a winner out of the gate! "This is resturant quality"
- DirectorJohn WatersStarsDivineDavid LocharyMary Vivian PearceA spoiled schoolgirl runs away from home, gets pregnant while hitch-hiking, and ends up as a fashion model for a pair of beauticians who like to photograph women committing crimes. This is probably the best movie ever made, the struggles of Dawn Davenport are as relevent today as they were back then. Divine in her best role, the script, the jokes, the casting, classic. Getting raped on Christmas morning, giving birth in a tenement hallway, being disfigured by an acid attack, it does not get any better then this.
- DirectorLeonard KastleDonald VolkmanStarsShirley StolerTony Lo BiancoMary Jane HigbyAn obese, embittered nurse doesn't mind if her toupee-wearing boyfriend romances and fleeces other women, as long as he takes her along on his con jobs.Shirley Stofer should have won an academy award for her role in this true crime drama. From the first five minutes you know this movie is going to be good... Shirley steals the show, killing old ladies with hammers, drowning children, it is a stark portrait of a women's pathalogical love for a sleezy con man and her willingness to do anything to keep him..... A must see!
- DirectorBetty ThomasStarsShelley LongGary ColeChristine TaylorThe original 1970s TV family is now placed in the 1990s, where they're even more square and out of place than ever.Almost every TV show made into a movie sucks, but not this one or its sequel mostly due to the talented Christine Taylor who pulls off the best Marcia Brady you can imagine. The writing, sets, acting and storyline are great, some great one liners and Ru Paul. This and "A Very Brady Sequel are must owns!
- DirectorJoel SchumacherStarsLily TomlinCharles GrodinNed BeattyA housewife grows smaller and smaller in reaction to chemicals found in cosmetics and household products."Pat, it's all that sex and violence on tv" I love this movie, who knew life could get so complicated in the ideal suburb of Tasty Meadows. Lily is great playing dual roles as Pat Kramer and her neighbor Judith the "Flo Natural" lady. Dated and somewhat fuzzy picture quality even on the DVD but its worth a watch.
- DirectorColin HigginsStarsJane FondaLily TomlinDolly PartonThree female employees of a sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot find a way to turn the tables on him.If you don't already know everything there is to know about 9 to 5 you are seriously retarded. If you don't own this movie and know most of the script I don't even want to look at you.
- DirectorEd BianchiStarsLauren BacallJames GarnerMichael BiehnDouglas, a record salesman, is an obsessive fan of actress Sally Ross. When his letters are rejected, he strikes out at her and her loved ones.I have always loved this movie, from its opening credit sequence to its thrilling climax, It's all Lauren Bacall and she knows it, a lesser known but worth owning film.
- DirectorRobert WiseStarsClaire TrevorLawrence TierneyWalter SlezakA calculating divorcée risks her chances at wealth and security with a man she doesn't love by getting involved with the hotheaded murderer romancing her foster sister.Claire Trevor rocks this great film noir about a divorced woman (already engaged to another man) who falls for a killer she meets on a train (who then ends up marrying her naive and rich sister). Did you get all of that? Tight script and storyline, great 40's clothes and Claire Trevor's performance make this one you can watch over and over again.
- DirectorKen KwapisStarsFran DrescherTimothy DaltonIan McNeiceA New York City cosmetologist, mistakenly thought to be a science teacher, is offered a job to teach the children of an Eastern European dictator.I know Fran can get real old real quick but this is a cute movie with a great performance by Timothy Dalton. It's a good Sunday afternoon movie.
- DirectorÉdouard MolinaroStarsKristy McNicholMichael OntkeanKaki HunterA disabled musician thinks people treat her differently because of her disability, so she goes to a ski resort with her leg in a cast to test this theory.Who has not tried to be someone they are not? Well this time it's America's 70's sweetheart Kristy McNichol. Kristy deceides she is tired of being a post polo victim so while in Europe she dons a cast and pretends to have a broken leg at a fabo ski resort, of course love and mayhem ensue. This was just released on DVD for the first time last year, it's worth the watch.
- DirectorDorothy ArznerStarsJoan CrawfordFranchot ToneRobert YoungA lounge singer is sent by a count to pose as a wealthy socialite.Another I'm not who you think I'am story with Joan Crawford cast as a sleezy waterfront bar singer who becomes part of a joke by a drunk Count to fool his friends. She is transformed into a lady and sent to yet another fabo mountain resort where she must choice between love or money in only two weeks!
- DirectorFrank OzStarsSteve MartinGoldie HawnDana DelanyCon artist Gwen moves into Newton's empty home without his knowledge and begins setting up house, posing as his new wife. Not the most well known Goldie Hawn movie but a really good one. Goldie pretends to be the wife of uptight yuppie Steve Martin (a real stretch for him right?) anyhow she moves into his unoccupied country house and its one funny lied filled farce after another.
- DirectorPeter BogdanovichStarsBarbra StreisandRyan O'NealMadeline KahnThe accidental mix-up of four identical plaid overnight bags leads to a series of increasingly wild and wacky situations. This movie is worth watching just to see how hot Ryan O'Neil was when he was young....mmmmm he strips down to his underwear in a rather long comedic scene and it's worth seeing. The whole movie is screwball crazy and the film debut of a very young Madeline Kahn.
- DirectorMelvin FrankStarsGina LollobrigidaShelley WintersPhil SilversCarla Campbell receives maintenance payment from three former soldiers who all believe themselves to be the father of her daughter, Gia.The inspiration for the mega musical "Mama Mia" the story of three guys who could possibly be Mrs. Campbell's daughter's father is pretty good, impressive cast filmed on location in Italy.
- DirectorWilliam AsherStarsFrankie AvalonAnnette FunicelloDeborah WalleyFrankie, DeeDee, and the gang meet singing sensation Sugar Kane in a publicity stunt; they all get introduced to skydiving and get caught up in love. This is the ONLY beach party movie worth watching. The majority of the music is cool, the story is very campy and Don Rickles tears into Annette in front of everybody, I'm pretty sure he was making it up as he was going cause the looks on Frankie and Annette's faces are priceless as he tears into the almost 30 year old playing a teen. In fact almost all of the 'Kids" are in their late 20's or early 30's and the adults are all over 60 to make it convincing. A real hoot.
- DirectorDavid SchmoellerStarsMorgan FairchildMichael SarrazinVince EdwardsA popular anchorwoman, Jaime Douglas, is stalked by a photographer who's obsessed with her and wants to win her affections at any cost.Who doesn't want to be a hot, LA TV anchor stalked by a hot fox like Andrew Stevens? This campy thriller throws 80's nighttime soap diva Morgan Fairchild into the gritty world of LA TV news. She has it all, looks, money, a boyfriend that can't act, a loud mouth best friend, and now a hot stalker following her every move. The bad lines in this movie rival Mommie Dearest and the new remastered DVD release is excellent, a great addition to your camp collection.
- DirectorLamont JohnsonStarsMargaux HemingwayChris SarandonPerry KingA top fashion model seeks justice after she is brutally raped by her teenage sister's music teacher.I love this movie, it is still very graphic even by today's standards. It's the world of the 70's supermodel (before there were supermodels) and it is also the age of stalking creeps who rape supermodels then go after their 12 year old sisters. Great performances by Anne Bancroft and Chris Sarandon. The new DVD release is crystal clear and long overdue.
- DirectorDavid MirkinStarsMira SorvinoLisa KudrowJaneane GarofaloTwo dim-witted, inseparable friends hit the road for their ten-year high school reunion and concoct an elaborate lie about their lives in order to impress their classmates."I'm the Mary your the Rhoda" This non-stop laughfest is so gay its queer. Great 80's music and Lisa and Mira are so good in this movie, this is a watch 100 times kinda of movie and still love it.
- DirectorJim HensonStarsJim HensonFrank OzDave GoelzKermit the Frog, The Great Gonzo, and Fozzie Bear are reporters who travel to Britain to interview a rich victim of jewel thieves and help her along with her secretary, Miss Piggy. Why is this on the list you ask? because Miss Piggy is a riot in this 2nd Muppet movie (and the best, I think). Piggy's big Busby Berkley dance number is a riot, great writing, very camp.
- DirectorTito DavisonStarsLana TurnerGeorge ChakirisRichard EganA former actress clashes with her wealthy and spoiled stepdaughter over their inheritance after the death of their protector. This film is actually quite good. The recently released DVD has been remastered and is in widescreen. The story is text book soap opera and Karin Mossberg's acting is not that bad. Lana Turner looks great in a fabo 1960's wardrobe by Travilla. A fun look back at those great days of no worry acid trips and over the top sets. I like this more every time I watch it.
- DirectorArlene SanfordStarsShelley LongGary ColeTim MathesonThe Bradys are surprised when a man claiming to be Carol's long lost first husband shows up at their home. Before long, his strange actions cause them to question his motives. Most sequels suck ass big time, this one however is just as good and in some ways better than the first one. Jan really gets it in this send up of more Brady Bunch episodes. Look for a special Barbara Eden Cameo
- DirectorBruno BarretoStarsGwyneth PaltrowChristina ApplegateKelly PrestonA small-town woman tries to achieve her goal of becoming a flight attendant. This movie is awesome, the entire cast is great and it is 30,000 feet of campy fun. Christina Applegate is especially good as the white trash, backstabbing friend.
- DirectorFrank BorzageStarsJoan CrawfordSpencer TracyAlan CurtisAffluent Hennessey falls for Jessie who is married to good-for-nothing Eddie. To provide a better life for Jessie Hennessey wants to marry her, and Eddie even approves of the plan, hoping to profit from it financially.Joan Crawford stars in yet another one of her shop girl turned glamour puss roles. In this incarnation, she is the weary daughter of a dead beat welfare father, beleagured old mother and wise cracking, street smart little brother (his lines are the best in the whole movie). Once again Joan is the lower east side girl with upper west side accent who falls for a two bit hustler, while at the same time is pursued by a shipping mogul. Who else but Joan can go from cotton work dresses on Hester Street to the latest in high fashion during a three month period of time (this is never explained) Joan looks great here and she does manage to keep her acting under control during most of the movie. The story is actually pretty good, but you will find alot of unintentinal funny moments.
