by pencritical | created - 06 Aug 2012 | updated - 28 Aug 2022 | Public

I get tired of seeing the same old people over and over again. This is a list of actors that don't get a lot of roles but should be more utilized (imho). This is in no particular order, just as I think of them. You may agree or maybe not, but if you haven't seen them maybe you should check them out.

1. Peter Facinelli

Actor | The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1

Peter Facinelli was born in Queens, New York, the youngest child of Bruna (Reich) and Pierino Facinelli, a waiter. His parents are Italian immigrants, originally from Trentino, Northern Italy. He's cute and talented. I think he deserves better roles.

2. Dakota Fanning

Hannah Dakota Fanning was born on the 23rd of February 1994, in Conyers, Georgia, USA, to Heather Joy (Arrington) and Steven Fanning. Her mother played professional tennis, and her father, now an electronics salesman, played minor league baseball. She is of German, Irish, English, French, and ...

Many child stars are cast aside because they aren't cute anymore and they never had any talent. Dakota has been sort of cast aside and I have no idea why. She is beautiful and she has more talent in her little finger than many of the leading ladies of her age group that I watch stumble across the silver screen today. Not casting her in starring roles she is suited for now is a serious waste.

Actor | The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring

Sean Bean's career since the eighties spans theatre, radio, television and movies. Bean was born in Handsworth, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, to Rita (Tuckwood) and Brian Bean. He's been in a lot of movies, but other than Jurassic Park, most are B grade or worse with lousy scripts and no budget. I'd like to see him do some roles like Anthony Hopkins gets. I think he'd be great.

5. Peter Dinklage

Actor | Game of Thrones

Peter Dinklage is an American actor. Since his breakout role in The Station Agent (2003), he has appeared in numerous films and theatre plays. Actor | What/If

Gabriel Mann was born in Middlebury, Vermont, USA. He is an actor, known for What/If (2019), The Bourne Supremacy (2004) and Revenge (2011).

She may not have had a role in the Sookie Stackhouse books, but True Blood, the series, would have been a lesser show without her role as Tara, Sookie's childhood friend. She was a joy to watch. I loved her. I'd love to see her in something else.

Something besides "The Flash". He's wasted in the role of Mr. Cold, or whatever it is they call him.

I liked him as McSteamy on Grey's Anatomy, but really love him as Chandler on the The Last Ship, though the show itself is a bit one dimensional. I'll keep watching just to watch Eric.

17. Kate Walsh

Kate Walsh was born in San Jose, California, on October 13, 1967. Love, Love, Love this guy. Not crazy about his new show, but it isn't his acting I don't like, it's the scripts (and Michelle Monaghan annoys me greatly). It's a boring show -- but I've only watched a couple episodes. I will give anything he's in a chance though.

19. Lennie James

Actor | The Walking Dead

Lennie James was born in Nottingham to Trinidadian parents, and grew up in South London. His mother, Phyllis Mary James, died when he was 12. At age ...

Anyone as beautiful as this who can pull off a role as someone as ugly and unlovable as Pennsatucky (Orange is the New Black) has some serious talent. I hate Pennsatucky, most of the time, but then, I'm supposed to, aren't I?

23. Stephen Moyer

I never watched Dharma and Greg, but I watched Thomas on Criminal Minds until he screwed up, kicked a writer and was fired. I'm not saying he didn't deserve it, but without him the show sucks. Perhaps he was a dick all the time, I don't know, but I wish, if he's learned his lesson, they'd bring him back or someone else would hire him. Okay, I feel a little bit like a pervert for saying this, because i'm old enough to be his mother, but this young grandson of the later, great, Steve McQueen, is gloriously gorgeous and he's not half bad at acting either. I thought he was a much better actor than the female star of the Vampire Diaries, Nina (Dobrev I think), whose brother he played. He also did a short stint on Chicago Fire where he played a guy who goes a little nuts with grief and destroys himself. Great job with that. I'd like to see him as the lead in something with action.
