My Death Note Cast for the American Remake of Death Note

by AbygailRiver | created - 06 Aug 2012 | updated - 06 Aug 2012 | Public

Personally, I’m quite happy they’re remaking Death Note because, even though the Japanese movies were good; they weren’t that faithful to the manga series or the anime. So, I see this as a chance to make a faithful adaption to the series…. PS: Please be aware that most of the actors in my cast are American, because I personally think “why would they cast Japanese people in a remake when there’s already a Japanese movie?” I personally see it as a waste of time and money to do it that way so that’s why I cast mostly American actors/American actresses but there are a few exceptions (Raye Pebender and Naomi Misora since he’s half Japanese and I want Naomi to be Japanese too but I’ll explain that when I get down to her) So without further ado, here’s my dream cast…

1. Josh Hutcherson

Actor | The Hunger Games

Joshua Ryan Hutcherson was born on October 12, 1992 in Union, Kentucky to Michelle Fightmaster, who worked for Delta Air Lines, and Chris Hutcherson, an EPA analyst. He has one younger brother, Connor Hutcherson. From the age of four, Josh knew that he wanted to be an actor. In order to pursue his ...

JOSH HUTCHERSON AS LIGHT YAGAMI

Hutcherson has the right acting skills to portray Light’s charm but psycho path personality, see The Hunger Games for his charm as Peeta Mellark, which he did flawlessly well and he can do psycho path seeing his performance as the maniac Steve in The Vampire’s Asstaint. He may not look exactly like Light but with some hair dye and contacts that can easily be fix, plus he is very good looking, so it would be easy to understand why so many girls flock to him.

((I know a lot of people want Zac Efron, and I do like Zac (he's awesome in Hairspray, 17 Again and HSM) but at 24 he's way to old to play Light; Sorry Zac!)

2. Ezra Miller

EZRA MILLER AS L LAWILET

I’m sorry but Ezra is the perfect person to portray L in the remake (and no you can’t argue) he has the right likeable quirks to portray L and he’s known for portraying oddish characters so that can easily be transfer into L. Though Josh and he are the same age (which I couldn’t believe at first) he has an ageless looking face like L which is perfect.

PS: His IMDb picture is old, if you saw recent pictures of him you can see him as L better.)
