In 2007, Hodge was awarded the role of Alec Hardison on the day of his twenty-first birthday.[6] In 2010, he received a Saturn Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor in Television for this role on Leverage[7] The win went to Aaron Paul of AMC's Breaking Bad.[8]

As of June 2012, Hodge expressed interest in playing the lead role in a Black Panther film.[9]

Ricky Whittle is a British actor from Oldham, Greater Manchester.[2] He is best known for his role as Calvin in the Channel Four soap Hollyoaks, he came second to Chris Hollins in Strictly Come Dancing in 2009. At university, Whittle began modelling, becoming the face of a Reebok campaign in 2000. This brought him to the attention of casting agents for Sky One's Dream Team. Cast as Ryan Naysmith, Whittle left university to pursue an acting career. Carrying on with his sports ambitions, in the third series Whittle broke his leg in seven places, and was forced into a long hospital stay. The writers wrote a broken leg into the Dreamteam script, allowing Whittle a slower recuperation.

After playing his first gay character as a guest star on BBC One's Holby City, Whittle played Calvin Valentine in the popular Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, up until his character was killed off after Whittle decided to leave the show in May 2010.

In January 2008, Whittle appeared on a celebrity edition of The Weakest Link, reaching the final, but losing out to Crimewatch UK star, Rav Wilding.

He has appeared on stage at the Royal National Theatre in Roy Williams’ Sing Yer Heart Out for the Lads[3] and the Royal Court Theatre in Levi David Addai's Oxford Street.[4] Another feature film, Tu£sday, sees him playing a jewel thief. He appeared in Bola Agbaje's play Off the Endz at the Royal Court Theatre during February and March 2010.

He made appearances in police drama The Bill and firefighting drama London's Burning. His Grange Hill history and autobiography was referenced by the comedian Stewart Lee on 16 March 2009, on the BBC2 show Stewart Lee's Comedy Vehicle in the episode themed on "Toilet Books". He also appeared in 2009's TV adaptation of Small Island and as Jack Holt in the short-lived drama Outcasts on the BBC in February and March 2011.

For the BBC Learning project "Off By Heart Shakespeare", Walters delivered one of Shakespeare’s best known speeches, "But soft, what light through yonder window breaks?" from Romeo and Juliet.[5] In October 2011, Walters starred in the Arjun Rose slasher Demons Never Die. From 31 October 2011, he played Dushane in one-off drama Top Boy. In February 2012, he played Chris in the BBC drama Inside Men.
