- DirectorJan de BontStarsSandra BullockJason PatricWillem DafoeA computer hacker breaks into the computer system of the Seabourn Legend cruise liner and sets it speeding on a collision course into a gigantic oil tanker. With a Budget of $110 milion you'd think they could employ a decent writer.
- DirectorSteven SpielbergStarsDustin HoffmanRobin WilliamsJulia RobertsWhen Captain James Hook kidnaps his children, an adult Peter Pan must return to Neverland and reclaim his youthful spirit in order to challenge his old enemy.Someone took me the Cinema when I was young to see this and I hated everything about it. And now I've seen it as an adult I still hate it, I even hate the kids in it, I don't care about any of the characters and I wanted Captain Hook to win the day. Which is surprising as it's directed by Spielberg and has a fairly good cast, maybe it's because I don't like Peter Pan.
- DirectorMichael BayStarsBen AffleckKate BeckinsaleJosh HartnettA tale of war and romance mixed in with history. The story follows two lifelong friends and a beautiful nurse who are caught up in the horror of an infamous Sunday morning in 1941."The truth is, we were never prepared for an atrocity of this magnitude, and I guess it all happened so quickly that we never had a chance. Even now, all these years later, it makes me sick just thinking about it."
— The Onion satirically quoting Josh Hartnett on the film.
I went to the cinema to watch this, and man it was mind numbingly stupid and bum numbingly boring. I can't believe I sat and watched the whole 183 minutes hoping something interesting might happen, it is one of the biggest regrets of my life, I will never get that time back. - DirectorKevin CostnerStarsKevin CostnerWill PattonLarenz TateA nameless drifter dons a postman's uniform and bag of mail as he begins a quest to inspire hope to the survivors living in post-apocalyptic America.Boringly long self-indulgent pretentious crap, I'm not sure if I made to the end of this apocalyptic film.
- DirectorPaul VerhoevenStarsElizabeth BerkleyKyle MacLachlanGina GershonA mysterious young drifter who calls herself Nomi Malone hitches a ride to Las Vegas, Nevada, and begins working as a strip club dancer, and sets about clawing her way to the top of the Vegas showgirls.Bad acting, bad writing and not even sexy. And yet it's so bad that some people think it's good, I'm not buying into this apparent paradox, it's trash.
- DirectorJoel SchumacherStarsArnold SchwarzeneggerGeorge ClooneyChris O'DonnellBatman and Robin try to keep their relationship together even as they must stop Mr. Freeze and Poison Ivy from freezing Gotham City.Apparently after making this Joel Schumacher said to Woody Allen, 'I've done it I actually made the worst film ever' where Woody Allen replied, 'No, you haven't even done that, that would be an achievement.'
I'm not a fan of the Batman films of the 90's but hey George Clooney was becoming one of my favourite actors after playing Doug Ross in ER and it appeared he threw his career down the pan with this Catastrophe, thanks heavens he hadn't and has made some great films since. Never quite liked Cris O'Donnell but with Thurman as Poison Ivy and Arnie as the villain this should have been so much more. It just shows what a trimuph that is Christopher Nolans Batman films. - DirectorLana WachowskiLilly WachowskiStarsKeanu ReevesLaurence FishburneCarrie-Anne MossFreedom fighters Neo, Trinity and Morpheus continue to lead the revolt against the Machine Army, unleashing their arsenal of extraordinary skills and weaponry against the systematic forces of repression and exploitation.I remember watching this at on dvd with friends and at the end we all looked at each other and asked 'is that it?'.
- DirectorRoger ChristianStarsJohn TravoltaForest WhitakerBarry PepperIt's the year 3000 A.D., and the Earth is lost to the alien race of Psychlos. Humanity is enslaved by these gold-thirsty tyrants, who are unaware that their 'man-animals' are about to ignite the rebellion of a lifetime.Poor poor poor, embarrassingly bad.
- DirectorMichael BayStarsShia LaBeoufMegan FoxJosh DuhamelAn ancient struggle between two Cybertronian races, the heroic Autobots and the evil Decepticons, comes to Earth, with a clue to the ultimate power held by a teenager.I just don't get it, how has this had two sequels made. It's stupid but it's bad stupid.
- DirectorGabriele MuccinoStarsWill SmithRosario DawsonWoody HarrelsonA man with a fateful secret embarks on an extraordinary journey of redemption by forever changing the lives of seven strangers. Some people, it seems have been conned into thinking this is a good film, it isn't. It's trying to be clever, but it's not. It's trying to be profound, but it's not. It seems to me the whole purpose of this film was to try and win Big Willie an Oscar.
- DirectorRenny HarlinStarsGeena DavisMatthew ModineFrank LangellaA female pirate and her companion race against their rivals to find a hidden island that contains a fabulous treasure. The only good thing about this movie is that it ends.
- DirectorRon HowardStarsTom HanksAudrey TautouJean RenoA murder inside the Louvre, and clues in Da Vinci paintings, lead to the discovery of a religious mystery protected by a secret society for two thousand years, which could shake the foundations of Christianity.Stupid film, probably worse than the book but I wouldn't know that because the book is so poorly writen I could make it past the first few pages. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade is infinitely better than this crass, and yet they made a sequel.
- DirectorBarry SonnenfeldStarsWill SmithKevin KlineKenneth BranaghThe two best special agents in the Wild West must save President Grant from the clutches of a diabolical, wheelchair-bound, steampunk-savvy, Confederate scientist bent on revenge for losing the Civil War.Bad idea executed badly.
