The story of a woman who has a Lemon yard for 50 years and suddenly became neighbour of the Israeli Defense Minister. I didn't appreciate that movie much. The romance in the movie is not engaging (au contraire!). And let's be ones the movie is not very fair to the Minister's side. If you're the Minister of a country that is the target of terrorists who wish to destroy the whole country, including civilians, SOME lemons must be cut!

And by the way, if I was the Defense Minister why the hell I would go live right in the borders of the West Bank??? Spare me! Tepid movie.

Director: Samuel Maoz | Stars: Yoav Donat, Itay Tiran, Oshri Cohen, Michael Moshonov

Votes: 11,968 | Gross: $0.37M

An attempt to make a war movie about the Lebanon war in a Das Boot fashion. Doesn't work well. I really can't believe IDF soldiers could possibly be so so pathetic. It looks like they were trained for 2 hours before going to war... Putting aside this the characters are not well constructed at all and the attempt to make a dark and claustrophobic environment simply doesn't work. If you have only two hours for a non-doc about Lebanon war, go with Waltz with Bashir. At least it is aesthetically beautiful.

Ah, the only part I've reeealy enjoyed is the scene of the tank in the sunflower field. It's beautiful. So, just look at the cover and you got the best part of the movie :D

The most infamous movie ever made. I gave it one star not in political grounds: this movie has a bad plot, bad production and terrible acting by any standards applied. Anyway, I really recommend this movie, on political grounds :D. History of humanity is filled with hatred and racial prejudice. There is and there was no place and time in the world absent of racial prejudice. But only in Nazi Germany a feature film was made completely out of it. So, in this sense, this movie is unique and unparalleled.
