Nick Robinson made his film debut starring as Joe in CBS Films' critically-acclaimed adventure The Kings of Summer (2013), followed by shooting a lead role in the Universal action adventure sequel Jurassic World (2015), where he starred alongside Chris Pratt, Judy Greer, Vincent D'Onofrio and Bryce Dallas Howard. In 2015, Nick had the lead role of a drug-addicted teenager in Rob Reiner's drama Being Charlie (2015), and in 2016, played Ben Parish in Sony Pictures' adaptation of Rick Yancey's bestselling science fiction novel The 5th Wave (2016), helmed by J Blakeson and co-starring Chloë Grace Moretz. Adam Irigoyen began his acting career at the age of 11. He appeared in multiple commercials and print campaigns before guest-starring on the Disney Channel's Emmy Award-winning series, Wizards of Waverly Place (2007), which eventually led to an audition for the role of "Deuce Martinez" on Shake It Up (2010). He has also appeared in the indie films "Flight", "Nickel or Dime" and "Electric Natural Safe".

Kenton Duty began his acting career when he was 9 years old in the Dallas Theater Center's stage production of "A Christmas Carol". He began auditioning for roles in Los Angeles after he was discovered at a workshop at the Young Actors Studio in Dallas, Texas by Hollywood talent agent Cindy Osbrink. Kodi Smit-McPhee started acting at the age of 9. He dropped out of high school in his first year to pursue acting and currently resides in Los Angeles as does his father Andy McPhee and sister Sianoa Smit-McPhee, who are also actors.

Luke George Evans was born in Pontypool, Wales, and grew up in Aberbargoed, in the south of Wales. He is the son of Yvonne (Lewis) and David Evans. He moved to Cardiff at the age 17. He then won a scholarship to the London Studio Centre, and graduated in 2000.

Rhys Ifans was born and raised in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, Wales, the son of teacher parents, Beti Wyn (Davies) and Eirwyn Evans. He was educated in two Welsh language schools - Ysgol Pentrecelyn, where his mother taught, and Ysgol Maes Garmon.
