Oliver Stone Asks Who Shot JFK?
Oliver Stone's JFK (1991) celebrated the 25th anniversary of its USA release on 20 December 2016. The film's commercial and critical success sparked the re-opening of congressional hearings into the JFK assassination. The outcome of the hearings was the passage of the JFK Act of 1992, intended to declassify and make public 5 million previously withheld government documents by an October 2017 deadline. The same congressional hearings determined that a conspiracy was probable, but did not detail who the gunmen were or the extent of the conspiracy. In retrospect, 50 years after the event and 25 years after the movie debut with the public release of 5 million related documents: who do you think shot John F. Kennedy?
