- DirectorF.W. MurnauStarsMax SchreckAlexander GranachGustav von WangenheimVampire Count Orlok expresses interest in a new residence and real estate agent Hutter's wife. The first silent movie i've ever seen, always wanted to watch it but couldn't get past the fact it was silent. I was pleasantly surprised when I watched it, I thought it was going to drag but it went by pretty quickly. The thing I loved about it was how eerie it was, I don't think there's a horror character that creeps me out more than the the Nosferatu figure
- DirectorRupert JulianLon ChaneyErnst LaemmleStarsLon ChaneyMary PhilbinNorman KerryA mad, disfigured composer seeks love with a lovely young opera singer.I enjoyed Nosferatu that much, that the next night I watched The Phantom of the Opera, another silent i've always wanted to watch. And I thought this one was even slightly better, Lon Chaney Sr made it for me, such a great performance. The only downside about these silents is that I found the text really really slow
- DirectorF.W. MurnauStarsGösta EkmanEmil JanningsCamilla HornThe demon Mephisto wagers with God that he can corrupt a mortal man's soul.Wonderfully atmospheric German silent movie. Had a real darkness and sense of evil
- DirectorJames WhaleStarsBoris KarloffMelvyn DouglasCharles LaughtonSeeking shelter from a storm, five travelers are in for a bizarre and terrifying night when they stumble upon the Femm family estate. Before Karloff starred as the Frankenstein we all know and love he played a great role in the Old Dark House as a mute horribly scarred butler. Loved the mix between dark humour and genuinely tense and atmospheric moments, thought the sound effects of the wind howling outside and the rain banging on all the doors throughout the movie was fantastic. I found the character of the old bed ridden man to be quite creepy, wasn't too surprised to find out later that the part was actually played by an old woman. A lot of fun
- DirectorVictor HalperinStarsBela LugosiMadge BellamyJoseph CawthornA young man turns to a witch doctor to lure the woman he loves away from her fiancé, but instead turns her into a zombie slave.Old school zombie movie where people are turned into zombies through voodoo instead of infected and whereas in modern zombie movies they turn into hungry flesh eaters, here they are mere slaves. Atmosphere is king in this one, sometimes moving at a slow pace it does have a sense of eeriness and creepiness about it. Lugosi is truly on top form here
- DirectorErle C. KentonStarsCharles LaughtonBela LugosiRichard ArlenA mad doctor conducts ghastly genetic experiments on a remote island in the South Seas, much to the fear and disgust of the shipwrecked sailor who finds himself trapped there.Very cool little film directed by the great Erle C. Kenton, absolutely loved the look of the island, very eerie but at the same time very beautiful. The poor creatures under Dr. Moreau's control looked absolutely great, on the subject of Dr. Moreau Charles Laughton absolutely steals the show playing this character, really seems genuinely evil.
- DirectorMichael CurtizStarsLionel AtwillFay WrayLee TracyA wisecracking New York reporter intrudes on a research scientist's quest to unmask The Moon Killer. From director of the classic Casablanca Michael Curtiz comes this very fun murder mystery. Loved the character of the constantly wise cracking news reporter.
- DirectorMack V. WrightHugh HarmanRudolf IsingStarsJohn WayneDukeSheila TerryJohn and Janet get a weird letter telling them to go to a ghost town which has an abandoned mine. There they contend with bad guys looking for hidden gold. They are aided by a mysterious Phantom.I'm a massive fan of John Wayne films so when my friend informed me he was cast in a horror film in the early 30's i just had to check it out. To mu surprise it was actually a highly enjoyable western mystery. Even John Wayne's horse Duke gets an acting credit, with a kill scene of it's own knocking one goon off a cliff
- DirectorStuart WalkerStarsHenry HullWarner OlandValerie HobsonAfter botanist Wilfred Glendon travels to Tibet in search of a rare flower, the Mariphasa, he returns to a London haunted by murders that can only be the work of bloodthirsty werewolves. Before 1941's Wolf Man, Universal made this terrific little werewolf movie in the same vein. Whilst not as good it still has a wonderful story some great acting and a nice creepy score
- DirectorTod BrowningStarsLionel BarrymoreElizabeth AllanBela LugosiWhen a nobleman is murdered, a professor of the occult blames vampires, but not all is what it seems.Very strange twist at the end of this, was left scratching my head whilst still feeling very entertained
- DirectorLambert HillyerStarsOtto KrugerGloria HoldenMarguerite ChurchillWhen Countess Marya Zaleska appears in London, mysterious events occur that lead Dr. Von Helsing to believe that the Countess must be a vampire.I really loved the gothic tones in this movie. The actress who played the countess looked perfect for the role, pale face and big dark eyes. Let down slightly by a few unnecessary comic moments.
- DirectorChristy CabanneStarsDick ForanPeggy MoranWallace FordArchaeologists defile the tomb of mummified Kharis, who was buried alive for falling in love with an Egyptian princess.Very loose sequel to the classic original, goes more of the b-movie route in that it's more m=comical than scary but throughly enjoyed it all the same
- DirectorHarold YoungStarsLon Chaney Jr.Dick ForanJohn HubbardThe ancient Egypt Mummy, Kharis, is transported from his homeland with the high priest Mehemet to wreak vengeance on the family who has defiled the sacred tomb of his beloved Princess Ananka.Takes place years after the The Mummy's Hand and Kharis is back after the same people, he travels along with his new master to America to get them, pretty average. At only 60 minutes with the first 10 being a flashback of the previous film it goes by pretty quick
- DirectorJacques TourneurStarsSimone SimonTom ConwayKent SmithAn American man marries a Serbian immigrant who fears that she will turn into the cat person of her homeland's fables if they are intimate together.Slightly over rated in my opinion, although I will say the performances are excellent
- DirectorErle C. KentonStarsCedric HardwickeLon Chaney Jr.Ralph BellamyDr. Frankenstein's plans to replace the brain of his monster are hijacked by his scheming and malevolent assistant Ygor.Pretty good follow up to probably my favourite of the Universal Frankenstein films Son of Frankenstein. In this Karloff is replaced by Lon Chaney Jr, it does take away slightly from the films but you get used to it after a while. A pretty good story, good acting especially by Bela Lugosi as Ygor which might just be my favourite role of his. There's a couple of great heartwarming scenes including any with the monster and the little girl he befriends.
- DirectorRoy William NeillStarsLon Chaney Jr.Ilona MasseyPatric KnowlesThe resurrected Wolf Man, seeking a cure for his malady, enlists the aid of a mad scientist, who claims he will not only rid the Wolf Man of his nocturnal metamorphosis, but also revive the frozen body of Frankenstein's inhuman creation.I was expecting a really cheesy b movie with a title like this but to my surprise the story was quite solid, the acting was excellent especially Lon Chaney Jr as the Wolfman, very powerful stuff at times. Also the inevitable show down between the two made me geek out just a little.
- DirectorJacques TourneurStarsDennis O'KeefeMargoJean BrooksA seemingly-tame leopard used for a publicity stunt escapes and kills a young girl, spreading panic throughout a sleepy New Mexico town.Another one of those Val Lewton, Jacques Tourneur collaborations and it definitely ranks up there with the best of them. It's a nice little murder mystery with a very cool ending. Of course the famous scene with the little girl banging down her front door in sheer terror is one of the most intense ever seen on film.
- DirectorErle C. KentonStarsBoris KarloffLon Chaney Jr.J. Carrol NaishA deranged scientist escapes from prison and recruits Dracula, Frankenstein's monster and the Wolf Man to get revenge on his behalf.Could have been a lot better but still a very fun watch, especially with the cast on offer here. My favourite of which being Boris Karloff as a crazed doctor out for revenge on the people who put him in jail. It's a shame that the Dracula character gets killed off so soon into it
- DirectorErle C. KentonStarsOnslow StevensJohn CarradineLon Chaney Jr.The Wolf Man and Count Dracula beg Dr. Edelman to cure them of their killing instincts but Dracula schemes to seduce the doctor's nurse.I actually much preferred this to House of Frankenstein, I just thought the story on the whole was a lot better, I felt more connected to the characters. Dracula was featured a lot more, they also brought back some of the old school vampire elements like being feared of crucifixes and not casting any reflexions in mirrors that was lacking in House of Frankenstein
- DirectorRobert SiodmakStarsDorothy McGuireGeorge BrentEthel BarrymoreIn 1916, a shadowy serial killer is targeting women with "afflictions"; one night during a thunderstorm, the mute Helen feels menaced.Directed by Robert Siodmak who also done the very fun Son of Dracula, I thoroughly enjoyed this tense thriller, wonderful performances by Dorothy McGuire in the lead role as a mute servant who is in danger from a local killer who's seemingly murdering girls with serious afflictions, another great performance by Ethel Barrymore as the sick mother
- DirectorMark RobsonStarsBoris KarloffEllen DrewMarc CramerOn a Greek island during the 1912 war, several people are trapped by quarantine for the plague. If that isn't enough worry, one of the people, a superstitious old peasant woman, suspects one young girl of being a vampiric kind of demon called a vorvolaka.Pretty nice thriller with an interesting story set during the 1912 war. Boris Karloff gives a fantastic performance as the cold army general quarantined in a house with several other people. Amongst this one of the woman is being accused of being a vorvolaka, a vampiric creature based on Greek superstition, the tension is built up nicely throughout and the final 10 minutes are quite good.
- DirectorMark RobsonStarsBoris KarloffAnna LeeBilly HouseNell Bowen, the protégé of Lord Mortimer, wants to help change the conditions of notorious St. Mary's of Bethlehem Asylum (Bedlam). Though she tries to reform Bedlam, the cruel Master Sims who runs it has her committed there, but ultimately, it's the lunatics who've taken over the asylum. The last of the trio of thrillers Val Lewton and Boris Karloff done in the 1940's. Karloff again is fantastic playing a right bastard, the final scene where he is put on trial by the 'loonies' is fantastic. There's a real menacing feel about the asylum itself and the inmates are quite chilling as well. Anna Lee does fantastic as the lead. Although it takes a while for the horror to actually start the tension is well built up.
- DirectorBernard VorhausStarsTurhan BeyLynn BariCathy O'DonnellOn the beach one night, Christine Faber, two years a widow, thinks she hears her late husband Paul calling out of the surf; then meets a tall dark man Alexis, who seems to know all about such things.Very interesting little story with plenty of twists and turns. Recently deceased Turhan Bey really shines through as the lead. Fun little b-movie. The score is also of note, beautifully haunting.
- DirectorCharles BartonWalter LantzStarsBud AbbottLou CostelloLon Chaney Jr.The Wolf Man tries to warn a dimwitted porter that Dracula wants his brain for Frankenstein monster's body.Definitely the highlight of Abbott and Costello's films. If your a fan of Universal monster movies and old school slapstick humour then this is right up your alley. We have Frankenstein's monster, Dracula, The Wolf Man and even a little cameo from the invisible man. Very, very funny stuff, the revolving trap door scene being one of many highlights.
- DirectorCharles BartonStarsBud AbbottLou CostelloBoris KarloffTwo employees of a secluded hotel investigate a murder on the premises in which the goofy bellboy is the prime suspect.Fantastic whodunnit mystery comedy. Boris Karloff is a bit under used though in my opinion
- DirectorTerence FisherStarsGeorge BrentMarguerite ChapmanRaymond HuntleyThe married owner of a bookstore is attracted to his sexy blonde clerk. He finally gives in to temptation and makes a pass at her, but that only results in him getting enmeshed in blackmail and murder.Very obscure Hammer film from their very early days. The first thing I noticed was that it was directed by Terence Fisher, one of his first feature lengths. It;s about book shop clerk who meets a recently realesed convict who rather easily convinces her to blackmail her boss, things after that get very sour. Obviously low budget this crime thriller has a nice tight story and some decent acting
- DirectorCharles LamontStarsBud AbbottLou CostelloMarie WindsorTwo bumbling Americans stumble on the discovery of a lifetime when their search for a mummy leads them to a sacred medallion that holds the key to buried treasure.A really goofy movie, a lot of fun
- DirectorRobert GordonStarsKenneth TobeyFaith DomergueDonald CurtisA giant, radioactive octopus rises from the Philippine Trench to terrorize the North American Pacific Coast.Classic 50's monster movie with effects by the master Ray Harryhausen, you can't really go wrong
- DirectorEdward D. Wood Jr.StarsBela LugosiTor JohnsonTony McCoyA mad doctor attempts to create atomic supermen.Technically speaking one of Ed Wood's better films, Lugosi gives a fantastic performance and his definitely his best from the years leading up to his death. His little monologue in the film about not having a home was great
- DirectorFred F. SearsStarsHugh MarloweJoan TaylorDonald CurtisExtraterrestrials traveling in high-tech flying saucers contact a scientist as part of a plan to enslave the inhabitants of Earth. Not one of my favourite 50's sci-fi movies but still entertaining all the same, if not only for the master Ray Harryhausen effects.
- DirectorNathan JuranStarsWilliam HopperJoan TaylorThomas Browne HenryThe first U.S. spaceship to Venus crash-lands off the coast of Sicily on its return trip. A dangerous, lizard-like creature comes with it and quickly grows gigantic.A creature from Venus is on the loose in Italy and is getting bigger and bigger, really awesome stuff. Definitely one of the best monster on the loose films i've ever seen, Harryhausen's stop motion effects are fantastic and a wonder to look at.
- DirectorNathan JuranStarsCraig StevensWilliam HopperAlix TaltonA giant prehistoric praying mantis, recently freed from the Arctic ice, voraciously preys on American military at the DEW Line and works its way south.Fun stuff, the effects of the mantis are really, really bad but in a hilarious way
- DirectorJacques TourneurStarsDana AndrewsPeggy CumminsNiall MacGinnisAmerican professor John Holden arrives in London for a parapsychology conference, only to find himself investigating the mysterious actions of Devil-worshipper Julian Karswell.Quite an intense ride directed by Jacques Tourneur. It stars Dana Andrews and Peggy Cummins who struck up a very good chemistry in this, the star of the show for me however was Niall McGinnis as the cult leader, he was so charasmatic changing instantly between nice and genuine to evil looking and quite cunning. I really liked the demon effect, it looked pretty badass but most of the film is focused on atmosphere liked long corridor shots and creepy sound effects
- DirectorAlbert BandStarsRichard BooneTheodore BikelPeggy MaurerCemetery director Robert Kraft discovers that by arbitrarily changing the status of plots from empty to occupied on the planogram causes the death of the plots' owners.Albert Band, father of Full Moon production company founder Charles Band directs this pretty spooky film about a man who believes he has supernatural powers over life and death. Pretty original idea and worked very well. The atmosphere throughout is pretty eerie and the tension at points is very good
- DirectorPaul LandresStarsFrancis LedererNorma EberhardtRay StricklynAfter a vampire leaves his native Balkans, he murders a Czech artist, assumes his identity, and moves in with the dead man's American cousins.Wow! What a fantastic Dracula flick, fairly obscure too was pretty damn hard to find. It's about Count Dracula stealing a man's identity and moving in with his distant family. There's a wonderful atmosphere throughout and the actor who played Dracula was chilling in the role. Shot in black and white there's also a blood red colour shot when a woman gets a stake through her heart, pretty awesome
- DirectorBert I. GordonStarsEd KemmerJune KenneyEugene PerssonTeenagers from a rural community and their high school science teacher join forces to battle a giant mutant spider.Bert I. Gordon is the man when it comes to cheesy oversized animal attack movies. Really cheesy but a lot of fun
- DirectorRichard E. CunhaStarsJohn AshleySandra KnightDonald MurphyDr. Frankenstein's insane grandson attempts to create horrible monsters in modern-day L.A.Typical low budget B Movie from the 50's, very bad but a lot of fun. The creature effects for the monster are amongst some of the worst I've ever seen, they look like they were thrown together five minutes before filming began. Loved some of the Five minute long musical numbers by some generic 1950's rock n roll band. Extremely cheesy!
- DirectorEdward L. CahnStarsMarshall ThompsonShirley PattersonKim SpaldingThe first manned expedition to Mars is invaded by an unknown life form, which stows away on the rescue ship.Directed by the very prolific director Edward L. Cahn, he done 11 films in 1961 alone for petes sake haha after watching this i realised the obvious influence it would eventually have on Ridley Scott's Alien. It's just a fun 50's Science Fiction B Movie, definitely worth a look if that's your thing. Runtime clocks in at just over an hour so it doesn't outstay its welcome
- DirectorTerence FisherStarsAnton DiffringHazel CourtChristopher LeeA centenarian artist and scientist in 1890 Paris maintains his youth and health by periodically replacing a gland with that of a living person.Hammer has never let me down, I'm yet to see a truly awful film by the famous production company. This is actually a remake of a 1945 title called “The Man in Hlaf Moon Street” and is quite intense at times. A fine cast with some pretty strong acting. Anton Diffring who I recognised as being a Nazi in a couple of movies plays the lead and hilariously overacts the whole time. We have the lovely Hazel Court as his love interest and Christopher Lee rocking an awesome tash. Quality flick!
- DirectorEdward D. Wood Jr.StarsGregory WalcottTom KeeneMona McKinnonEvil aliens attack Earth and set their terrible "Plan 9" into action. As the aliens resurrect the dead of the Earth, the lives of the living are in danger.Notorious Ed Wood film often cited as the worst movie of all time. I honestly love the hell out of it. Highlights include what seem like little tins on strings (flying saucers) and the hilariously bad alien costumes. Sad part though is that it's Bela Lugosi's last on screen performance, dying whilst filming was going on
- DirectorGeorge P. BreakstonKenneth G. CraneStarsPeter DyneleyJane HyltonTetsu NakamuraAn American journalist stationed in Japan is given a mysterious injection by a mad scientist, turning him into a murderous, two-headed monster.Very weird old school monster movie set in Japan. My favourite character in the movie was the Japanese doctor, he was delightfully evil in the role. The slow burn transition the main character goes through is pretty awesome. At first his hand starts to look like a wolf, then one night an eye pops up on his shoulder then finally the full blown transformation scene where another head comes out. Awesome stuff!!!
- DirectorIshirô HondaStarsFurankî SakaiHiroshi KoizumiKyôko KagawaAn expedition to Infant Island uncovers a native tribe and twin tiny fairy priestesses of a mythical deity, who sets out to rescue the pair after they are kidnapped by a greedy businessman. Can't believe i'd never heard of this film before, directed by Ishiro Honda this is an amazing monster movie for many different reasons. I especially liked the way we really felt for the monster, after all they did wrongfully kidnap the two 1ft tall singing twins. The island itself looks absolutely beautiful and the soundtrack for the film was amazing, I found myself singing the little song for hours after watching. The effects for the creature were amazing and the destruction it left looked pretty good as well.
- DirectorJack ClaytonStarsDeborah KerrPeter WyngardeMegs JenkinsA young governess for two children becomes convinced that the house and grounds are haunted. It takes a hell of a lot to scare me but i did find this movie genuinely scary. Filmed in beautiful black and white it stars Deborah Kerr as Miss Giddens who is employed by a governess to look after his neice and nephew out in a big house in the English countryside. There, see starts to see ghosts in the courtyard and around the grounds of the house. She finds out a few secrets about the previous groundskeepers and starts to see the children not being as angelic as they initially seemed. I don't want to spoil anything else, just turn off the lights and enjoy
- DirectorRobert AldrichStarsBette DavisJoan CrawfordVictor BuonoA former child star torments her paraplegic sister in their decaying Hollywood mansion.Oh Yeah, classic horror starring Bette Davis and Joan Crawford taking sibling rivalry to a whole other level. Davis absolutely steals the show in this as the crazed jealous older sister, the beach scene at the end still gives me shivers. Must see for fans of classic cinema
- DirectorIshirô HondaTom MontgomeryStarsTadao TakashimaKenji SaharaYû FujikiA UN reporter covers the appearance of a prehistoric monster that emerges from hibernation, while a pharmaceutical company seeks publicity with a monster of their own. There's a lot of intentional humour in this film taking away from the film slightly, still a hell of a lot of fun though. I must admit to geeking out at the hilariously bad fight at the end of Mt. Fuji and King Kong fighting an oversized octopus was pretty funny too.
- DirectorRoger CormanStarsRay MillandHazel CourtRichard NeyAn artist grows distant from his new wife as an irrational horror of premature burial consumes him.Wonderful Poe adaption from Roger Corman. It's all about being buried alive which honestly freaks me out. Ray Milland puts through a great performance as a man in utter terror. Hazel Court plays his wife and is awesome as always. There's the customary Corman trippy dream sequence which is pretty cool. It's often forgotten but I think it's one of Corman's best movies and definitely his most terrifying.
- DirectorRoger CormanFrancis Ford CoppolaJack HaleStarsBoris KarloffJack NicholsonSandra KnightA young French soldier cut off from his unit is beguiled by a mysterious woman, whom he learns is the wife of the local Baron - and that she seemingly died twenty years earlier.Worth the price of admission alone to see Jack Nicholson in his first starring role alongside Boris Karloff. Despite the appallingly stupid final twist I really enjoyed the mystery in this. It had that classic Corman feel with the big castles and foggy woodlands.
- DirectorWilliam BeaudineStarsJohn CarradineChuck CourtneyMelinda CaseyDracula travels to the American Old West intent on making a beautiful ranch owner his vampire bride. Her fiance, the reformed outlaw Billy the Kid, finds out about it and rushes to save her.Mixing my two favourite genres, Horror and Western never comes out perfect, this is defintiely no exception. This is trash but then again I love trash. Highlights include Dracula just casually strolling about in broad daylight, rubber bats and Dracula getting hit up the face with a gun.
- DirectorWilliam BeaudineStarsJohn LuptonNarda OnyxCal BolderMaria Frankenstein puts the brain of a monster into the body of one of Jesse James' sidekicks. You can't watch Billy the Kid vs Dracula without watching it's companion piece. Not quite as good but still enjoyable enough.
- DirectorIshirô HondaStarsRuss TamblynKumi MizunoKenji SaharaA giant, cannibalistic humanoid's rampage through Tokyo is halted by his more docile twin, but neither their reunion nor their scientist caretakers can prevent their eventual duel.War of the Gargantuas is a fine example of a Japanese Kaiju movie
- DirectorFreddie FrancisStarsJack PalanceBurgess MeredithBeverly AdamsAn anthology of four short horror stories about people who visit Dr. Diabolo's fairground haunted-house attraction show.Amicus Anthology movie that is pretty damn good, revolves around what seems to be a terror carnival where Burgess Meredith who is excellent as Dr. Diablo is a sort of tour guide to people's own greed and selfishness, he shows 4 people 4 possible futures for them. The first segment called Enoch is about a witche's gold and an evil spirit taking the form of a cat. The second called Terror over Hollywood is about what people in the entertainment industry will do to keep their looks forever, it had a cool swinging 60's soundtrack. The next one called Mr. Steinway is easily the corniest about a piano that's actually alive, still entertaining though and worth it for the piano scores alone. The fourth called The Man who Collected Poe is my favourite featuring Jack Palance and Peter Cushing, their on screen chemistry is great and the atmosphere of the setting is very good. Hammer faithful Michael Ripper plays a small role in the wrap around story and overall doesn't say much but nice to see him all the same. Overall not one bad story so definitely worth watching
- DirectorJules BassStarsBoris KarloffAllen SwiftGale GarnettOn the Isle of Evil, Baron Boris von Frankenstein reveals his imminent retirement and that he has refined the secret of total destruction, only to be upset when the other monsters try to steal the secret and kill his nephew, Felix Flanken.Any horror fan has got to love this movie, extremely good fun and the claymation effects are always wonderful to look at. Also the songs are extremely catchy and is it weird that I've always had a huge crush on Francesca? Lol
- DirectorTerence YoungStarsAudrey HepburnAlan ArkinRichard CrennaA recently blinded woman is terrorized by a trio of thugs while they search for a heroin-stuffed doll they believe is in her apartment. One of the most suspenseful thrillers ever made, even Hitchcock would be proud of this one. This achieved mainly by the excellent acting throughout. The wonderful Audrey Hepburn plays a blind woman being terrorised in probably my favourite role of hers. Richard Creena and Jack Weston play two parts of the trio who are trying to find a doll stuffed full of heroin in her apartment. They are extremely convincing in their roles. The other part of the trio is played fantastically by Alan Arkin, Stephen King reportedly claimed Arkin's performance to be the greatest evocation of screen villainy, it really is that good. The film builds up to a tension filled finale which will undoubtedly have every viewer on the edge of their seats
- DirectorVernon SewellStarsBoris KarloffChristopher LeeMark EdenRobert Manning visits the remote country house where his brother Peter was last seen. While his host seems outwardly friendly and his niece more demonstrably so, Robert detects a feeling of menace in the air.I'm surprised this isn't more heard of with it's stellar cast and in my opinion fantastic story about witchcraft in a small English village. Sadly one of Boris Karloff's final roles and he does magnificent as ever. Barbara Steele looks awesome as the witch in blue make up. The film felt very psychodelic with it's vivid dream sequences with goat heads and weird sacrifices.
- DirectorIshirô HondaJun FukudaStarsAkira KuboJun TazakiYukiko KobayashiIn 1999, a race of she-aliens, the Kilaaks, brainwash Earth's monsters into attacking major cities, prompting a team of astronauts to stop the invaders while the monsters battle Ghidorah.Old school monster movie mixed in with elements of stuff you'd see in a 50's sci fi movie. Nothing mind blowing but a good way to kill an hour and a half, some great scenes of monster destruction. I must say the special effects were pretty good especially for the time it was made
- DirectorJack HillStarsLon Chaney Jr.Carol OhmartQuinn K. RedekerA caretaker devotes himself to three demented siblings after their father's death. What a great little hidden gem of a movie. Made in 1968 with a very low budget. With the opening credits we know exactly what we'll be getting with this movie. A macabre tale with a touch of black humour. The story itself revolves around mental illness, the last generation of the Merrye family have a condition of age regression which basically renders them childlike. Their parents are dead and the old caretaker played by Lon Chaney Jr looks after them. The some distant family members decide they would like the house for themselves. The performances in the movie are great. There's three children of the Merrye family. The two girls are very eerie especially the character of Virginia, just watch the scene of her playing 'spider' to see exactly what i mean. The other child in the family is played by none other than Sid Haig in one of his first roles. Lon Chaney Jr plays his role wonderfully, he's extremely sympathetic. As a horror movie it's definitely unique
- DirectorJean RollinStarsSolange PradelBernard LetrouCatherine DevilleAfter a psychoanalyst unsuccessfully tries to convince four sisters that they are not 200-year-old vampires, the Queen of the Vampires promulgates the cause of the Undead.Honestly a complete mess of a movie. However very important for fans of euro horror or the work of Jean Rollin in particular. This is his debut film, well i say film it says it's a two part melodrama. Apparently Rollin wrote the first part as a short then decided to make another part to the movie with some of the same characters mixed in with a few new characters. The first part revolves around the lives of 4 sisters who believe their vampires and there's 3 psychoanalysts who want to disprove their vampirism. I honestly don't know if they were really vampires on rot, there's a recurring old man character who stands behind a statue they worship who assures them they're vampires. Everyone is killed at the end of part 1 then a group of vampire woman (real ones this time) lead by a Queen of the Vampires who resurrects the dead. Honestly the movie lost me at this point, i didn't have a clue what was going on from here on. Overall not an entertaining movie but a beautiful one shot entirely in black and white with some superb shots that would would later go on to define Rollin's career. I would strictly recommend this film to completists of Rollin's filmography or those interested in artsy French horror
- DirectorWilliam EdwardsStarsVince KelleyAnn HollisLibby CaculusDracula enslaves Dr. Irving Jekyll, turning him into the lycanthropic JackalMan, demanding that he lure female blood donors to his L. A. cabin retreat. What did I just watch?? lol very, very strange Dracula film. I don't know what copy of the movie I was watching but there seemed to be something a bit weird with the dubbing, I don't really think they were being too serious with it. Also the same with the narration. It was surprisingly good for a 1960's sexploitation.
- DirectorAl AdamsonDon HuletteStarsJohn CarradinePaula RaymondAlexander D'ArcyCount Dracula and his wife capture beautiful young women and chain them in their dungeon, to be used when they need to satisfy their thirst for blood.Wonderful piece of cheesy cinema!
- DirectorTulio DemicheliHugo FregoneseAntonio Isasi-IsasmendiStarsMichael RennieKarin DorCraig HillAn alien scientist and his team are sent to earth from their dying planet to exterminate the human population by unleashing monsters like vampires, werewolves, and mummies in order to inherit the earth.Paul Naschy must have been a real horror geek. We have aliens, vampires, mummies, werewolves and even the Frankenstein monster in the same movie haha what's not to love honestly. The title itself Dracula Versus Frankenstein seems a bit wrong, it should be The Wolf Man vs everyone else. Really bad but so so good
- DirectorAl AdamsonSamuel M. ShermanStarsJ. Carrol NaishLon Chaney Jr.Zandor VorkovDracula conspires with a mad doctor to resurrect the Frankenstein Monster.Horrible, horrible film but really enjoyable if you're in the mood for it. Honestly I couldn't make much sense of the storyline, something about a hot chick looking for her missing sister and dracula and dr. Frankenstein working together reanimating life at a carnival show. Throw in Lon Chaney along there as well as a puppy loving axe wielding maniac. Wish I could say something about the final fight between Dracula and Frankenstein's monster but it was so damn dark I couldn't tell what was going on
- DirectorCarl MonsonStarsRodolfo AcostaMerry AndersNorman BartoldIn order to qualify to inherit the family fortune, the four heirs, their in-laws, and the household servants must spend the night in the family estate. However, during the night someone starts killing them off.Family members and servants gather at the house of an old wealthy man (John Carradine) to be read his will, stated in the will is that they have to stay in that house for a week, inevitably they start getting killed off. Fairly uninteresting, some unintentionally funny moments like one character being killed by trying to turn off his bedside lamp. Also was watching with Elvira presented so that kept me entertained from time to time.
- DirectorCarlos AuredStarsPaul NaschyEmma CohenVíctor BarreraIn Medieval France a warlock is be-headed and his wife tortured and executed. Hundreds of years later an isolated group of people discover his head buried on their property. Soon it comes back to life, possessing people and using them to commit sacrifices and to search for the rest of his bodyDefinitely in the so bad it's good category, great example of that would be the séance scene towards the start, had me in absolute stitches. There was a couple of actually good spots though, the decapitation at the start was pretty cool, as was a pretty random zombie attack which looked very Fulci-esque.
- DirectorCarlos AuredStarsPaul NaschyFabiola FalcónMariano Vidal MolinaA man whose ancestors executed a witch is turned into a werewolf by modern-day descendants of the executed witch.Very cool Werewolf flick with elements of Satanism and Witchery thrown in for good measure. Starts off well with an awesomely bad sword fight with two Knights. Throughout there's a lot of beautiful, often naked European women walking round which certainly isn't a bad thing lol. I thought the Werewolf effects were pretty awesome.
- DirectorLuigi BatzellaJoe D'AmatoStarsMark DamonRosalba NeriEsmeralda BarrosLady Dracula uses Dracula's ring to lure beautiful girls to her castle, where she murders them so she can bathe in their blood.Obviously being a sleazy Italian production from the 70's it had a lot of bad dubbing, beautiful European women and some pretty cool music. I must say I enjoyed it far more than I thought I would have, it had a lot of nice atmosphere and it was gothic as hell. Story wise it has it's flaws but that doesn't matter too much.
- DirectorJean RollinStarsFrançoise PascalHugues QuesterNatalie PerreyA young couple out for a walk decide to take a stroll through a large cemetery. As darkness begins to fall they realize they can't find their way out, and soon their fears begin to overtake them.Artful movie from Jean Rollin about two lovers stuck in a cemetery over night
- DirectorAlberto De MartinoStarsCarla GravinaMel FerrerArthur KennedyA paralyzed young woman becomes possessed by the Devil when a hypnosis session - intended to heal her disability - accidentally awakens memories of her past life as a witch.Obviously a rip off of the Exorcist but still a very good film. The imagery in this film is *beep* amazing, honestly it's so cool. There's a dream sequence in this which ranks amongst my favourites. The music is also great but what else would you expect from an Italian production from this period lol
- DirectorDick RandallStarsRossano BrazziMichael DunnEdmund PurdomBrazzi plays mad Dr. Frankenstein, Dunn is an evil dwarf and Lugosi (no relation to Bela) is a Neanderthal man. Add a monster named Hulk, and some nude women for sexploitation value.First off Count Frankenstein!! I think the writers may have gotten their old Universal monsters mixed up. Such a stupid, stupid movie but my god words can't describe how much I loved it haha honestly it's one of the best worst movies i've ever seen. Basically a horny little midget is banished from Frankenstein's castle for basically being a nuisance, he meets a crazed caveman and plots revenge on Frankenstein. A lot of the dialogue is over the top and unintentionally hilarious. The film surely makes up for it's incoherent plot with Frankenstein's daughter and her college friend who has a little thing for her father.
- DirectorMel BrooksStarsGene WilderMadeline KahnMarty FeldmanAn American grandson of the infamous scientist, struggling to prove that his grandfather was not as insane as people believe, is invited to Transylvania, where he discovers the process that reanimates a dead body. When it comes to comedy Gene Wilder is the man! I absolutely love his movies, this though is slightly over rated and isn't one of his best in my opinion. Don't get me wrong it's pretty good just drags at parts. Mart Feldman and Peter Boyle were great in the supporting cast.
- DirectorJohn HolbrookStarsDebbie CollinsJamie OrlandoJohn AlexanderA young couple discover a diary from 1896. In it, an incredible tale is told about a female mad doctor named Fallatingstein who used her skills to create an artificial life form: a hunky would-be sex slave named Frank.A hardcore porn movie from 1974 that was presumed lost for decades was released in 2013 by Synapse Films. The film itself is actually a lot of fun, the restoration of it looks fantastic.
- DirectorMiguel IglesiasStarsPaul NaschyMercedes MolinaSilvia SolarWaldemar, the renowned adventurer, joins an expedition to find the Yeti in the Himalayas. While hiking the mountains, he's captured by two cannibalistic demon nymphets guarding a remote Buddhist temple and becomes their sex-slave. They transform him into a werewolf setting him loose to roam the mountain where he encounters a sadistic bandit. What a strange little film, Paul Naschy is on an expedition to find the Yeti, gets kidnapped by cannibalistic women who turn him into their sex slave, escapes but gets turned into a werewolf. A lot of other random stuff happens. Then at the end their's the cheesiest, most awesome fight between Naschy (The Werewolf) and the Yeti
- DirectorAlberto De MartinoStarsKirk DouglasSimon WardAgostina BelliRobert's in charge of constructing a nuclear power plant in the Middle East. Will it be instrumental in prophecies of antichrist's apocalypse?Bit of an Italian rip off of The Omen but it is very well made, Kirk Douglas is awesome as ever and the rest of the cast also do very well. Contains one of the coolest decapitations by helicopter blade i've ever seen, i'd even say it was better than the one in the original Dawn of the Dead. Also contains a very surreal and cool looking dream sequence featuring a lake of salt and huge snakes coming up out of the water
- DirectorElliot SilversteinStarsJames BrolinKathleen LloydJohn MarleyA small desert town is terrorized by a powerful, seemingly possessed car, and the local sheriff may be the only one who can stop it.Vastly under rated horror from 1977. Said to be an automobile rip off of Jaws and i can definitely see where they got that from. But to be fair this is ultimately a b movie and an extremely entertaining and well made one at that. The movie is set in a small town called Santa Ynez in Utah where mysteriously a black sedan starts killing off the residents, it's then up to police officer Wade and the rest of the force to find out who is behind the wheel. As the movie progresses they start to realise the danger they face may be of the supernatural kind. The main character Wade is played by James Brolin (WESTWORLD, THE AMITYVILLE HORROR) and plays the role of the bad ass cop really well. His love interest Lauren is played by Kathleen Lloyd (IT LIVES AGAIN, THE MISSOURI BREAKS) who looks stunning and plays a mean bad ass herself in scenes where she grabs Brolin's balls and another scene where she confronts the car in an old graveyard. Ronny Cox (TOTAL RECALL, ROBOCOP, BEVERLY HILLS COP DELIVERANCE) plays the very interesting character of Luke. Luke has been sober for two years and once the car starts it's rampage he falls off the wagon. It's interesting seeing his descent and adds an emotional layer to the movie. RG Armstrong (PREDATOR, LONE WOLF MCQUADE, BOSS *beep* PAT GARRETT AND BILLY THE KID) plays an absolutely despicable character who beats his wife, however he does have a slight turnaround at the end. I honestly just enjoyed the hell out of this movie, i really liked the way they didn't reveal the reason behind the car's attacks, it doesn't need an explanation holding the movie back. It looks beautiful especially on Arrow Videos Blu Ray release, the setting of the desert is exceptional. The car itself loks wonderful, you get the general feeling of evil off it. The effects are pretty god as well, a lot of cool stunts and car chases
- DirectorStan DragotiStarsGeorge HamiltonSusan Saint JamesRichard BenjaminAfter being evicted from his castle in Transylvania, Count Dracula and his assistant Renfield travel to New York to find a woman who the Count believes is the reincarnation of the woman he has loved for all eternity.Extremely funny Dracula spoof where the Count has to move to New York to find his new bride. I was shocked to find out it was made in the 70's, it has such a cool 80's vibe. My favourite character was that of Rosenberg, he had all the funny lines.
- DirectorJean RollinStarsFranca MaïBrigitte LahaieJean-Marie LemaireA runaway criminal breaks into an eerie chateau, taking its two frightened chambermaids hostage. As night falls, a group of mysterious aristocratic women arrive and the criminal begins to realize the women are hiding a sinister secret.Fantastic Jean Rollin film about vampires and lesbianism. A topic he used frequently in his films. To be fair they're aren't any real vampires in the movie, just a sect of women who like to kill and enjoy the taste of blood. The movie starts off with a gang of thieves fighting over a bag of gold. One member, Mark played by Jean-Marie Lemaire escapes with the gold and ends up in a secluded chateau where he meets two beautiful women called Eva and Elisabeth who seduce him into staying for the midnight ceremony they'll be having with a few of their friends later on. Elisabeth is played by Franca Mai who didn't do much in her acting career. Eva is played by Brigitte Lahaie who Jean Rollin fans will recognise from a number of his films. The movie then just builds up to the the inevitable midnight ceremony in typical Rollin fashion. The atmosphere is fantastic, the sets extremely eerie and the women ridiculously beautiful, just look at the scene with Brigitte Lahaie wandering the grounds of the chateau half naked dressed only in a small black cape equipped with a scythe, without doubt one of the sexiest shots i've ever seen on camera. As with all of Rollin's work it is very subjective, some may find it boring and others may find it enthralling. Personally i am of the latter
- DirectorDavid HessStarsJennifer RunyonForrest SwonsenLinda GentileA group of teenagers at a party find themselves being stalked by a maniacal killer in a Santa Claus costume.Corny as hell Christmas slasher directed by the late David Hess. It's unbelievably stereotypical of 80's slasher. College girls have a sorority house party at Christmas and a killer Santa is on the loose. A few things annoyed me about the film especially it's so dark, it's hard to see anything. Still, all in all a lot of fun especially if you love slashers
- DirectorSammo Kam-Bo HungStarsSammo Kam-Bo HungFat ChungLung ChanA rickshaw driver's wife and his rich client are secret lovers, and they decide to get rid of him without being implicated, so they hire a powerful sorcerer to kill him, but the sorcerer's colleague intervenes to protect him.Sammo Hung is one of my favourite martial arts stars. His films are in the same vein of Jackie Chan's at the time. Very comedic but at the same time absolute perfection during the fight scenes. He was apparently a big horror movie fan growing up so this was his love letter to horror. Very cool crossover between kung fu and horror
- DirectorFrank De FelittaStarsCharles DurningRobert F. LyonsClaude Earl JonesIn a small Southern town, four vigilantes wrongfully execute a mentally-challenged man, but after the court sets them free mysterious "accidents" begin to kill them off one by one.I'm a real sucker for killer scarecrow films, always thought they're was something really badass about them. Fantastic especially for being a made for tv movie, I think that might actually benefit the film as they didn't have to rely on blood and guts, they more than made up for that with the tension and atmosphere.
- DirectorJean RollinStarsMarina PierroFrançoise BlanchardMike MarshallA toxic spill revives a beautiful, dead heiress who, with the help of her childhood friend, must quench her insatiable thirst for blood.Jean Rollin film about a beautiful blonde woman called Catherine Valmont who is resurrected from the dead by some toxic waste spill that gets into her coffin when it's opened, she then finds herself consuming flesh to stay alive. A lot of your average movie goers would find this film a bit of a bore due to long stretches without dialogue but for the few like myself find all of it wonderfully atmospheric. The setting of the catacombs where Catherine is initially buried and the castle where she used to live are creppy and eerie. The camera shots throughout are beautifully lit and the use of sound in the film all add to this effect. The movie is set in a small French town which was pretty cool. The gore is pretty full on with people getting their throats torn out, their flesh being pulled apart and buckets of blood used
- DirectorEdward D. MurphyStarsCameron MitchellGeoffrey BinneyHope HolidayMartial arts students visit an island with ghosts of dishonored fighters. They encounter a Hitler lookalike running a female slavery operation, leading to encounters with cannibals, piranhas, zombies, and chaos.A group of people on a cruise end up on an island inhabited by monks who feast on female flesh in order to raise dead martial artists. Ridiculously entertaining cheesefest with Nazi bad guys, loads of sex and nudity, zombies, cannibals and piranhas. There's not much gore and the fights scenes are pretty unspectacular and kind of fake looking but it doesn't take away that much from the fun of the movie
- DirectorShan HuaStarsBilly ChongLau ChanChung-You ChangA criminal comes to town in order to kill Billy Chong over a past dispute. But instead of getting his own hands dirty, he hires a Taoist wizard to animate some zombies to do the job for him. The plan goes horribly awry, and the bad guy ends up getting killed in his own trap. This pisses off the villain's spirit and he forces the priest to reincarnate him - only they can't find a suitable body. Meanwhile, an undead fiend of sorts comes to town to kill Billy's father over some other past dispute. This is where all of Billy's kung fu training comes in handy, and he manages to kill the attacker. With this, the other bad guy finally has a body to use, but the reincarnation goes wrong and the corpse is reborn as a vampire.Fun, entertaining Kung Fu trash
- DirectorChung SunStarsTony LiuKuan Tai ChenLieh LoA psychotic craftsman pits two rival Kung-Fu masters against each other while designing special lanterns from a disturbing source.A tale of a man's revenge using human skin to make his own lantern. The plot actually makes the movie seem a bit more interesting than it ends up being. Still fun if you're in the right mood
- DirectorChih-Hung KueiStarsPhillip KoShao-Yen LinKar-Man WaiWhile in Thailand to avenge his brother who was crippled in a fight with a corrupt Thai boxer, a man gets caught up in a web of fate, Buddhism and black magic.Shaw Brothers, famous for their fantastic Kung Fu flicks from the 70's. At the end of that decade they started to become a bit stale, they started experimenting with other types of movies. This is without doubt their most experimental film and one of the weirdest films i've ever seen. We get treated to Buddhist monks in battle against evil wizards, killer bats, crocodile skulls, flying alien heads amongst other crazy stuff. The special effects range from really cheesy to quite impressive
- DirectorEdmund PurdomStarsEdmund PurdomAlan LakeBelinda MayneSomebody with very little Christmas spirit is killing anyone in a Santa suit one London holiday season, and Scotland Yard has to stop him before he makes his exploits an annual tradition.Notoriously bad slasher movie set in London with the killer going round killing Santa Claus' Directed by Edmund Purdom who also directed the fantastic Pieces so you know it's going to be cheesy as hell. Came out in 1984, the same year as the classic Silent Night Deadly Night so it's popularity might have been hindered by that. Really not as bad as a lot of people would lead you to believe, there's a good lot of kills including one Santa getting his dick cut off at a urinal and another getting a meat cleaver to the face during a random Caroline Munro musical performance . Speaking of music it has a really cool synth score to it. The ending is quite random though
- DirectorRichard FranklinStarsTerence StampElisabeth ShueSteven FinchWhen a female zoology student is invited to a remote seaside mansion to assist a primatology professor with his experiments involving chimpanzees, dangerous events start to occur, all involving the intelligent 45-year-old chimp, Link.I could watch anything with monkeys acting like humans and still find it entertaining haha just your typical 80's fun horror movie balancing perfecting between funny moments and intense chase scenes with Link and his victims. Wonderful score from Jerry Goldsmith.
- DirectorPhil RomanStarsLorenzo MusicThom HugeGregg BergerWhen Garfield and Odie are out trick-or-treating, they end up at a haunted house. The inner child in me loves these children's specials. - DirectorLuca BercoviciStarsPeter LiapisLisa PelikanMichael Des BarresA young man and his girlfriend move into an old mansion home, where he becomes possessed by a desire to control ancient demons.Just a fun campy 80's horror comedy produced by the legend that is Charles Band. A cool little story involving black magic and two feet tall demons, that's all you really need haha there's also two demonic midgets called Grizzel and Greedigut for added fun. The effects i thought were a lot of fun especially one involving a 5 foot tongue strangling a guy to death. Despite the amount of insanely hot women walking round there was a severe lack of nudity but aw well we can't have everything. The sequel Ghoulies 2 directed by the always dependable Albert Band sees the Ghoulies inhabiting a carnival crew, then take over their house of horror and torture chamber killing the customers for the hell of it. The carnival i thought was a great setting and gives the movie a great campy vibe. The effects are really good especially the huge demon at the end that goes around eating up all the Ghoulies, the cast is decent enough especially Phil Fondacaro who for some reason always gives a fantastic performance no matter how trashy the movie he's in is. The cast also includes veteran actor Royal Dano playing the drunken uncle and Kerry Remsen playing the lovely Nichole. Ghoulies go to College is the third installment. Absolute mayhem ensues with the Ghoulies and two warring Frat Houses. Includes an early role for Eva La Rue looking great as always. The fourth Ghoulies starts off with a ridiculously hot ninja girl dressed in all black leather opening a gateway for the creatures to come out. One thing i really hated about the fourth film was that the creatures weren't the original puppets but simply just two midgets in *beep* Ghoulie costumers but aw well. The fourth is easily the worst of the series but there's still a few laughs to be had

Definitely up there as one of the campiest films i've ever seen. Every character is ridiculously over the top, we have the wife swapping parents Stanley and Raquel Putterman, the military obsessed grandfather and son, the extremely attractive heavy metal loving daughter and her doofus boyfriend with extremely ugly hair. Throw in a smoking hot horror hostess called Medusa for no real reason and you have this instant cult classic. True B Movie cinema at it's best
- DirectorDavid SchmoellerStarsKlaus KinskiTalia BalsamBarbara WhinneryA man who runs an apartment house for women is the demented son of a Nazi surgeon who has the house equipped with secret passageways, hidden rooms and torture and murder devices.Crawlspace saw the coming together of David Schmoeller and Charles Band who had previously worked on the fantastic TOURIST TRAP in 1979 then would go on to work on PUPPETMASTER in 1989 and NETHERWORLD in 1992. Crawlspace however made in 1988 is quite a fun little movie. It was written and directed by Schmoeller and produced by Band. The film stars Klaus Kinski as a deranged psychopath who stalks and kills beautiful college girls who rent apartments from him. He has a very clever way of stalking his prey, using the crawlspace installed in the apartment complex. It is later revealed in the story that Kinski's father was a Nazi official who killed many innocent women and children during medical experiments during the Holocaust. Due to this fact, he doesn't kill out of some strange hatred for women but because it's in his genes and he gets a thrill out of killing. According to Schmoeller in the documentary short PLEASE KILL MR. KINSKI he and Kinski hated each other and found it very difficult working with each other, despite this i find this to be one of Kinski's best performances as he gives a chilling portrayal as the psychopathic killer Dr. Karl Gunther. Also noteworthy in the movie is the score done by acclaimed composer Pino Donaggio
- DirectorRobert ScottStarsMichael St. MichaelsThaddeus GolasDouglass BellA family takes delivery of a new television set, unaware that it is the gateway by which killer zombies enter the world.Hilariously bad low budget zombie movie. The acting for starters is really wooden especially from the teenage boy, the scene where he's talking to some random guy in the tv had me in stitches laughing. The dialogue at times baffled me particularly one scene where a girl explains how her poodle runs off to mate with skunks in the woods. The story is about zombies and mysterious women coming out of the tv to kill people. One positive for the movie is the gore, there's plenty of it in this movie, also the zombies looked pretty good especially the white bride zombie who gets her head cut off half way through the movie and continues to carry it around with her. The ending was pretty original and the kind of cool
- DirectorFred DekkerStarsAndre GowerRobby KigerStephen MachtA group of young monster fanatics attempts to save their hometown from Count Dracula and his monsters. Can't believe it took me this long to watch this movie, I really should have watched it when I was a kid. Not unlike The Goonies this is just an ultra cool kid's movie. We have Dracula, Frankenstein's monster, the Wolf Man, the Mummy and The Gillman. Everything's great about it, the soundtarck, the effects, the story and the comedy is top notch. There's also some quite emotional moments especially between the main character and his father.

That's all i'm going to say, i don't want to spoil anything else just do yourself a favour a watch this movie. De Niro and Mickey Rourke give Oscar worthy performances and the visuals in the movie are simply stunning

A lot of funny low brow jokes usually about tits and sexual innuendos. Nice seeing the wizard master from Nightmare on Elm Street 3 getting a small role. Although not quite as good as the original, Elvira's Haunted Hills is still highly entertaining and worth a watch. With direct references to old school films like Fall of the house of Usher and Pit and the Pendulum it definitely is a lot of fun.
- DirectorAnthony HickoxStarsZach GalliganDeborah ForemanJennifer BasseyA wax museum owner uses his horror exhibits to unleash evil on the world.Basically the plot revolves around people going to David Warner's waxwork show and being transported into the grisly waxworks and become part of them. The waxworks include werewolves, vampires, the mummy, zombies and even The Marquis de Sade. It's just a very cool action packed horror that's never boring. There's a plentiful amount of gore and the end scene where all sorts of creatures do battle is amazing.

- DirectorRenny HarlinStarsLane SmithViggo MortensenChelsea FieldThe spirit of a long-dead prisoner returns for revenge, haunting the prison's new governor.God bless Scream Factory for giving this movie a Blu Ray release. The story set in a prison is really original, a ghostly presence of a prisoner who was executed there is let loose. A true hidden gem in every sense of the word. It boasts an impressive cast including Aragon himself Viggo Mortensen, Lane Smith, Chelsea Field and the awesome Tiny Lister. The movie appears to have quite a high budget. Not unlike a lot of prison movies, i always enjoy the slew of interesting characters and the bond they all eventually form together. Also contains one of the coolest death scenes in horror with one guard being wrapped around a chair with barbed wire
