Hot Men and Their Best Roles

While Lee Pace looks good no matter what he's doing, He was jaw-droppingly gorgeous (for all of 2 seconds) in The Hobbit. I was so happy to see that he was in this movie, and after spending the whole movie waiting to see him again, I was quite upset it never happened. Thank goodness there's 2 other Hobbit films to come!

I first saw Jackson in Twilight, and while his hair was weird, his face is absolutely stunning. I haven't seen all his movies, but I think he probably looked his best in The Last Airbender. Mediocre movie at best, but boy, did he make it worthwhile!

My favorite Nicholas Hoult film is definitely Warm Bodies, but I can't honestly say that's the film he looks the best in. The goth/emo look is fine. Dead? Not so much. But he was absolutely breathtaking in A Single Man. And not because he was naked a whole lot near the end. Ok, not just because... :-p

Dean Winchester. Really, do I have to say anything more than that?? You have no idea how happy it makes me that a man this beautiful loves to do horror. It's just a shame that, despite his looks and talent, he can't seem to find a good film role. That's ok, as long as he keeps doing Supernatural, it's all good.

I've loved Robert Downey Jr since I was a kid. He's so talented, I just can't believe he still doesn't have an Oscar. He was nominated twice, but never won. What a shame. But like a fine wine, Robert seems to get better with age. He's always been good looking, but he was positively gorgeous as Tony Stark.

Another actor who really doesn't need an explanation as to why he's on a list like this. I mean, have you looked at the man? Beautiful and talented, Johnny's been one of my favorite actors since I first saw him, all those years ago, in Cry-Baby, which, by rights, should be a very bad movie, and yet somehow isn't. Choosing Johnny's most attractive role is like choosing the most brilliant star in the sky (yeah, I'm cheezy) but if I had to, it would probably be Sleepy Hollow. It's still one of my favorite films, and he looked stunning.

I first saw Jonathan in Velvet Goldmine, and have been in love ever since. It seems unfair that someone so attractive should also be so talented, but there you have it. He's looked amazing in almost all of his roles, but I'd have to pick Titus as the top. The combo of the long hair and tattoos just rocked me.

Jon Snow. That is all. I haven't seen Kit in anything but Game of Thrones, but with the talent and looks he's got, I'm sure we'll be seeing him pop up more in time.

Ah, Doctor. My beautiful, lonely, messed-up Doctor. I've only recently discovered Doctor Who, but I'm so very glad I did. David could look good sitting in a burlap sack while reading a phone book. Thankfully though, his roles make him look much better than that. I'm going to say, in the looks department, it'll be a tie between Doctor Who and Fright Night. If only for the shirtless, leather-pants-clad scene alone.

Timothy is going grey, which is usually a big turn-off for me, but he's so gorgeous, it kinda doesn't matter. He was even better looking without the greys though, which is why I choose Go as his best looking film.

Chris may have aged a lot, but he was smokin' hot in the 80's. And no movie showcased this more than Fright Night. He was everything a vampire needed to be, and more. Pretty much all his scenes with Amy are swoon-inducing.

I first saw Cillian in 28 Days Later, and really didn't think much of him. It was a great movie, the one to successfully reboot the zombie genre, but he didn't exactly look pretty. Then I saw Batman Begins. I couldn't believe it was the same guy. So very pretty.

Castiel. Nuff said. Oddly enough, when Castiel first showed himself in season 4 of Supernatural, I wasn't all that impressed. He was good looking, yes, but nothing special. But through his interaction with Dean Winchester, and the force of his personality, he got more beautiful by the second.

While he's gotten too "manly" for me, the first film I saw him in floored me. His role as Dracula in Dracula 2000 was absolutely perfect. It's still one of my favorite Dracula performances.

This man seemingly has it all; looks, acting talent, and a hell of a set of pipes. He's looked good in pretty much all his films, but I'm going to cheat a little here, and pick the music video for The Kill as his best looking. Since it's based on The Shining, I guess that makes it count.

Strangely enough, when I first saw Thor, I can't say that I really noticed Loki. I guess I was just concentrating too hard on Chris Hemsworth. But then The Avengers came out, and my jaw literally hit the floor. That scene where Loki's at the party, coming down the stairs, in that suit? The man couldn't have looked more perfect than if he'd walked straight out of my dreams.

I've known who Alexander is for a good while now, but I hadn't seen anything that he'd done until True Blood. And really, they couldn't have picked a better actor to portray the thousand year old viking. He definitely looked his best in season 1, when they actually had him looking like a viking. He hadn't cut his hair for a thousand years, why on earth would he start now?? That's just one of the (many) things that annoy me about the show. But I digress...

What a tragic loss to the world of film-making, River's death was. He was so unbelieveably talented. And beautiful. I could easily pick any of his movies to be in this list, but since I have to pick only one, the winner is A Thing Called Love. Nothing's sexier than a man with a guitar. The long hair was just gravy.

I'd never heard of Harry before Game of Thrones, although I did just recently see him in a two-part episode of Doctor Who. And while he was cute in the episode, the winner in this list is definitely his role as the sniveling ass-hat Prince Viserys. The character has absolutely no redeeming qualities, but my-oh-my was he beautiful. That scene with the girl in the bathtub.... mmm.

Dorian Gray. That's really all I need to say here. A quite liberal take on the book, I nevertheless enjoyed the movie quite a bit. I'm sure seeing almost all of Ben's skin had nothing to do with that...

I'm sure any girl my age would agree with me, David was the ultimate heartthrob of the 90's. I was in high school when Buffy the Vampire Slayer first aired, and, like every other teenaged girl with eyes, I was immediately smitten with the vampiric Angel.

I don't actually watch Criminal Minds on a regular basis, I've only seen a handful of episodes. But that was enough for me to notice how unbelievably attractive Matthew is as Spencer Reid. To quote Michelle Trachtenberg's character while she's got Reid tied to a chair and her hands inside his shirt: "mm, all that and brains too!"

I've only seen Xavier in Eclipse, so by default that'll be the movie on this list. But I was so taken with him, that I'm currently hunting down everything he's been in. I've recently acquired a horror film called The Loved Ones that I'm looking forward to watching.

When I was in school, there was this cute little show that played when I got home called Breaker High, about a bunch of kids who go to school on a cruise ship that sails all around the world. Ryan played a lovable geek named Shaun. It's hard to believe that he's now one of the best (and most popular) actors working today.

I first saw Joseph in Third Rock from the Sun. He was one of my first big tv crushes. I remember being very sad when he cut all his beautiful hair off, hehe. He's another one that looks good no matter what, but he was especially attractive in the sometimes-hard-to-watch Mysterious Skin.

Hayden is a terrible actor. At least that's what he's been showing people. But if you go back before he got widely popular with those god-awful Star Wars films, he starred in a little film called Life As a House, with Kevin Kline. Not only is it the movie he looks the best in, but he's acting. Actually acting. Well. If you haven't seen this film, I highly recommend it.

Oh, Julian. Horror fans are truly grateful that an actor of his caliber loves to make horror films. We just wished he'd been a little more picky while choosing his scripts, cause some of those films were down-right horrendous. Thankfully, the movie he looks the best in, Warlock, isn't one of those.

You can't know how happy I was to find out that American Horror Story's Tate Langdon wasn't a teenager in real life, but was actually 25. I was feeling a little skeezy there, for finding him so attractive. Season 1 will be the one in this list, I'm not digging the dark hair he's sporting in season 2. Oh, and PS, it's time to change his profile picture, IMDB. This one is just ever so slightly out of date...

What is it with IMDB and horrible profile pictures? Anyways.. I first saw Orlando in Lord of the Rings and he literally took my breath away. Not the best of actors, but when you look like he does, I suppose it doesn't matter too much. To choose whether he looked better in Lord of the Rings or Pirates of the Caribbean, though, that's impossible. So I call a tie.

Antonio unfortunately hasn't aged very well (a side effect of being married to Melanie Griffith?) but go back, if you will, to 1995. That's when Desperado came out, and women everywhere threw their panties at the movie screen. Truefax *nods*

Thor. Really, that's it. Both in Thor and The Avengers, but just a smidge more in Thor. I love long hair, and I can't believe I'm saying this, but it was too long in The Avengers. It doesn't suit him as well as the chin length locks do.

Before Star Trek 2, I'd never heard of Benedict. My friends have been singing the praises of Sherlock since it came out, but I'd never gotten around to watching it until recently. Before I saw him on the big screen, I'd only seen pictures, and was unimpressed. I thought he was just weird looking, like a strange elf. And then I saw him in action on-screen. And oh. My. God. I had to take back every single thing I said about him. I was so smitten that the very next day after seeing ST2, I hooked myself up to Netflix and watched Sherlock. Watching him in action as the famous sleuth literally takes my breath away.

Colin looks good no matter what. And if he happens to be in a role that allows him use of his real accent, the hotness doubles. But from all the roles to chose from, I'll have to go with Fright Night for this list, even though he doesn't have the accent. Cause he plays a vampire, and that trumps everything :-p

Ah, my sexy Captain Jack. I've only ever seen in playing that character (both in Doctor Who and Torchwood), but I was immediately taken with him (along with many, many other fangirls and boys, I'm sure, hehe).
