- DirectorStanley KubrickStarsMalcolm McDowellPatrick MageeMichael BatesIn the future, a sadistic gang leader is imprisoned and volunteers for a conduct-aversion experiment, but it doesn't go as planned. My second favourite film ever and the first real film I saw featuring Malcolm. He was great in it and I fell instantly in love.
- DirectorLindsay AndersonStarsMalcolm McDowellDavid WoodRichard WarwickIn this allegorical story, a revolution led by pupil Mick Travis takes place at an old established private school in England.First time I watched it I was a bit tired so I didn't enjoy it as much at first. Second time, I loved it! It's just a pure role for Malcolm and he shines. A great debut and a real classic that everyone should watch.
- DirectorLindsay AndersonStarsMalcolm McDowellRalph RichardsonRachel RobertsAn ambitious coffee salesman has a series of improbable and ironic adventures that seem designed to challenge his naive idealism.I enjoyed it the first time I watched it and thought at first it was better than "if....", but now I feel they are equally good. And Malcolm is on screen for almost 3 hours!
- DirectorKaren ShakhnazarovStarsMalcolm McDowellOleg YankovskiyArmen DzhigarkhanyanOver seventy five years ago Russia's last Tsar and his entire family met their fate at the hands of a murderous assassin. Yet, behind the closed doors of a modern day psychiatric hospital a patient is telling the story of the event. This is easily one of the best films ever with one of Malcolm's best performances ever! You feel everything with this film, all the acting is just great. Only problem I have is the dubbing sometimes and the pacing. Second time I watched it I loved it even more!
- DirectorRichard LesterStarsMalcolm McDowellAlan BatesFlorinda BolkanNe'er-do-well Captain Harry Flashman (Malcolm McDowell) is coerced by Otto Von Bismarck (Oliver Reed) into impersonating a Prince.
- DirectorTinto BrassStarsMalcolm McDowellPeter O'TooleHelen MirrenA dramatization of the ascent to Caesar and subsequent reign of Caligula, one of the most notorious leaders of ancient Rome. We see his ambition, his scheming, his perversion and decadence, his brutality and his lunacy. If not a great film, it is not bad. I was surpriced over how good it was actually. Malcolm is great in it, as you see so many different moods and emotions! And I have counted that he's got 29 costumes in the film! That is probably the most costume changes I have seen on one person through a film.
- DirectorDavid GriecoStarsMalcolm McDowellMarton CsokasRonald PickupA disgraced communist schoolteacher in Kyiv becomes a brutal, unfeeling serial killer. Based on the crimes of Andrei Chikatilo.Easily one of the creepiest and best performances by Malcolm. I can only say that the dubbing (especially on the children) is very poor.
- DirectorBryan ForbesStarsMalcolm McDowellNanette NewmanGeorgia BrownBruce Pritchard is paralyzed in a soccer game, rejected by his family, and placed in a nursing home. Angry and depressed, he finds hope with a nurse. Can Bruce find a life outside the home?My good! It's one of the sweetest and saddest films I have ever seen. malcolm is very pure with his acting here. Nanette is also very natural and I love their chemistry. I cried for the last 15 minutes and after the credits for a few minutes! Never done that before.
- DirectorJoseph LoseyStarsRobert ShawMalcolm McDowellAndy BradfordTwo escapees are on the run in the wilderness of an unspecified country. Wherever they go, they are followed by a menacing black helicopter.I have only seen it once, but just thinking about it gives me the chills. One of the few films where Malcolm plays a full "good guy" role. It's very moving and makes you think.
- DirectorJack GoldStarsMalcolm McDowellChristopher PlummerSimon WardIn World War I, the high casualty rate amongst the rookie pilots of the Royal Flying Corps puts an enormous strain on the survivors.A great film with malcolm McDowell and Christopher Plummer. Great to see them on screen. A film that makes you think and I love that. Emotional and moving.
- DirectorNicholas MeyerStarsMalcolm McDowellMary SteenburgenDavid WarnerH.G. Wells pursues Jack the Ripper to the 20th Century when the serial murderer uses the future writer's time machine to escape his time period. He's so sweet in this film! It's very intriguing, sweet, exiting and funny! Mary and Malcolm are very sweet together <3
- DirectorCharles WinklerStarsMalcolm McDowellGeoffrey LewisPriscilla Pointer10 years ago the perverse Dr. Russell couldn't resist the beauty of a young patient in his mental clinic and raped her one night. When she plunged herself from the roof shortly after, he described it as consequence of her heavy depressions. Now the same urge overcomes him with his new patient Sandy. He doesn't know that she's the daughter of his previous victim and that she's come for revenge.Malcolm is crazy in this, and he get's crazier as the film comes to an end! He's great!
- DirectorJohn BadhamStarsRoy ScheiderWarren OatesCandy ClarkThe cop test pilot for an experimental police helicopter learns the sinister implications of the new vehicle.Malcolm's credit in the beginning is almost at the end, but he's got a fair amount of screentime. He's very simple and natural as the baddie. The others are great, especially Daniel Stern, and he's got a lot of screentime as well. It's never boring either.
- DirectorRobert AltmanStarsNeve CampbellJames FrancoMalcolm McDowellA young ballet dancer is poised to become the principal performer in a group of ballet dancers.A very interesting "documentary-like" film about a ballett company. Malcolm improvised a lot for his part and that makes him very natural. The other actors are very natural as well. Most of the rest are just dancers, but they do a great job. It's worth a watch, because of the great music and dancing. And of cours, Malcolm. I watched it for Neve ans well, and she was good.
- DirectorPaul SchraderStarsNastassja KinskiMalcolm McDowellJohn HeardA woman who was orphaned from a young age finally reunites with her older brother. Matters start to go awry when she slowly discovers the true nature of her family.I was looking forward to this film, but I was a bit too dissapointed in it. Malcolm has second billing, but only got about 5 scenes and I feel they rushed them. A wasted role for Malcolm. Nastassja is very pretty and interesting and I got into her after watching this film. John Heard is nothing special, and I was very dissapointed by his character.
