My list of the 30 Greatest actors and actresses of all time.

1. Marlon Brando

Actor | Apocalypse Now

Marlon Brando is widely considered the greatest movie actor of all time, rivaled only by the more theatrically oriented Laurence Olivier in terms of esteem. Unlike Olivier, who preferred the stage to the screen, Brando concentrated his talents on movies after bidding the Broadway stage adieu in ...

Simply the most exhilarating, most well taught, and most emotional actor of all time. Name all of Brando's movies and they are blockbuster classics. A Streetcar Named Desire, On The Waterfront, The Wild One, Julius Caesar, Last Tango In Paris, The Godfather the single greatest movie of all time, Superman, Apocalypse Now, Don Juan Demarco, The Freshman, all are critically acclaimed for Brando's excellent performing. He could play ANYTHING!! Being a method actor, he used his past traumatic experiences to bring to life the characters in which he was portraying. What other actor was able to start a whole acting school which taught practically every actor from the 70's on. Nobody but Brando, yeah, right, that's what I thought. GREATEST ACTOR EVER!!!!!

One of the greatest actors of all time, Robert De Niro was born on August 17, 1943 in Manhattan, New York City, to artists Virginia (Admiral) and Robert De Niro Sr. His paternal grandfather was of Italian descent, and his other ancestry is Irish, English, Dutch, German, and French. This man has come out in more movies than any other American actor. I can count off at least twenty without having to think. The Last Tycoon, The Godfather Part 2, Taxi Driver, The Deer Hunter, Raging Bull, True Confessions, Goodfellas, A Bronx Tale, Casino, Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, Great Expectations, Jackie Brown, The Fockers Trilogy, Silver Linings Playbook, Cape Fear, and the list goes on and on and on. The only man to directly be able to play the young version of Marlon Brando's character in the first Godfather, it is no wonder he is regarded as the second best after the man himself. Cape Fear has traumatized me for the rest of my life, but I don't care, I still love De Niro.

Alfredo James "Al" 'Pacino established himself as a film actor during one of cinema's most vibrant decades, the 1970s, and has become an enduring and iconic figure in the world of American movies.

Famous for his role as the ruthless crime sydicate Michael Corleone in the Godfather Trilogy, Pacino has reached success with his roles as Tony Montana in Scarface, the army officer in Scent of a Woman, a gay lover in Dog Day Afternoon, a heroin addicted man in The Panic in Needle Park, a mobster in Donnie Brasco, and a sergeant who investigates the gay community in Cruising. Let's not forget his iconic performances of real life characters such as Jack Kevorkian and Phil Spector as well as his comedic performance of himself in Adam Sandler's Jack and Jill.

Switching to a freaky guy with scissors for hands in Edward Scissorhands, he then went to a biker in Cry Baby. After working with another great actor Leonardo Dicaprio in What's Eating Gilbert Grape, in went on a rampage of various films. Transvestite director in Ed Wood. FBI agent in Donnie Brasco. Why Brad Pitt has never been truly recognized as a great actor is mystifying to me. Always known for his good looks, his acting skills are just as great. Starting out in Thelma and Louise, he quickly rose to stardom in A River Runs Through It and Legends of the Fall. After playing a psychopathic serial killer in Kalifornia, he became a cop in Seven. Entering the 20th century, he has done an excellent job in many movies. Babel sent tears down my face. His sadistic acting in Quentin Tarantino's Inglorious Basterds sent me laughing like a hyena. Commonly regarded as one of the greatest actors being rivaled only by Marlon Brando, I put Laurence at 12 because he was more of a stage actor than a screen actor. Don't get me wrong, Spartacus and Rebecca are phenomenal movies, but for the screen, Laurence is a little more back.
