- DirectorDavid LeanStarsPeter O'TooleAlec GuinnessAnthony QuinnThe story of T.E. Lawrence, the English officer who successfully united and led the diverse, often warring, Arab tribes during World War I in order to fight the Turks.A real classic, much more dramatic than I remembered. Incredible acting by O'Toole, excellent direction, huge script... Masterpiece !
- DirectorChristopher McQuarrieStarsTom CruiseRosamund PikeRichard JenkinsA homicide investigator digs deeper into a case involving a trained military sniper responsible for a mass shooting.A little thriller, not very interesting, certainly not original, with an average Cruise. Forgettable.
- DirectorCarlos SaldanhaMichael ThurmeierStarsRay RomanoJohn LeguizamoDenis LearyWhen Sid's attempt to adopt three dinosaur eggs gets him abducted by their real mother to an underground lost world, his friends attempt to rescue him.Probably the best movie of the franchise, even if the surprise of the first isn't here anymore. And the character of Buck is just awesome !
- DirectorTerry GilliamStarsJonathan PryceKim GreistRobert De NiroA bureaucrat in a dystopic society becomes an enemy of the state as he pursues the woman of his dreams.Crazy, clever, visually stunning, ambitious... One of the best movies of the 80s, and one of the best by Gilliam. A gem !

- DirectorBen WheatleyStarsNeil MaskellMyAnna BuringHarry SimpsonNearly a year after a botched job, a hitman takes a new assignment with the promise of a big payoff for three killings. What starts off as an easy task soon unravels, sending the killer into the heart of darkness.Very good british thriller, some sort of retelling of McBeth, with a huge homage to Wicker Man. Nice work !!!
- DirectorPete TravisStarsKarl UrbanOlivia ThirlbyLena HeadeyIn a violent, futuristic city where the police have the authority to act as judge, jury and executioner, a cop teams with a trainee to take down a gang that deals the reality-altering drug, SLO-MO.Funny B movie, much more relevant to the comics than the Stallone's version. Not a great movie, but it deserved some success...
- DirectorClyde GeronimiWilfred JacksonHamilton LuskeStarsBobby DriscollKathryn BeaumontHans ConriedWendy and her brothers are whisked away to the magical world of Neverland with the hero of their stories, Peter Pan.One of the best and funniest Disney ever produced. It didn't age at all, a real miracle !
- DirectorQuentin TarantinoStarsJamie FoxxChristoph WaltzLeonardo DiCaprioWith the help of a German bounty-hunter, a freed slave sets out to rescue his wife from a brutal plantation owner in Mississippi. The best Tarantino since... Since a lot of time. It's funny, well written, there are no downtime, a pure silver pleasure !
- DirectorTony RichardsonStarsTrevor HowardVanessa RedgraveJohn GielgudIn 1854, during the Crimean War, poor planning leads to the British Light Brigade openly charging a Russian artillery position with tragic consequences.A huge movie, with a unique sense of irony, and a very good casting. A charge on stupidity and incompetence !
- DirectorPaul Thomas AndersonStarsJoaquin PhoenixPhilip Seymour HoffmanAmy AdamsA Naval veteran arrives home from war unsettled and uncertain of his future - until he is tantalized by the Cause and its charismatic leader.A little disappointment. The actors are astounding, the visual direction is gorgeous, but I could'nt see the point of all this. It's probably me, but it must've been too subtle for me.
- DirectorDavid O. RussellStarsBradley CooperJennifer LawrenceRobert De NiroAfter a stint in a mental institution, former teacher Pat Solitano moves back in with his parents and tries to reconcile with his ex-wife. Things get more challenging when Pat meets Tiffany, a mysterious girl with problems of her own.A splendid rom-com, clever, original and very funny. The actors are gorgeous (yeah, well, especially Jennifer Lawrence...), and if it's a "classic" rom-com, if you can see what will happen an hour ago, it's so well written that you can't deny the moment of pleasure you're living.
- DirectorKathryn BigelowStarsJessica ChastainJoel EdgertonChris PrattA chronicle of the decade-long hunt for al-Qaeda terrorist leader Osama bin Laden after the September 2001 attacks, and his death at the hands of the Navy S.E.A.L.s Team 6 in May 2011.A great movie, with a splendid Jessica Chastain, and strong direction & script. It might be a bit long, by moment, but it's quite efficient, clever and understandable.
- DirectorSacha GervasiStarsAnthony HopkinsHelen MirrenScarlett JohanssonThe relationship between Alfred Hitchcock and his wife Alma Reville during the filming of Psycho (1960) in 1959 is explored.Very good movie, funny, clever, with a nice direction and good actors. The only problem is Hopkins. As good as an actor as he can be, I never saw Hitchcock, in this picture. Only Hopkins mimicking Hitchcock. A little disappointment here, but otherwise, a good movie !
- DirectorNicolas Winding RefnStarsMads MikkelsenMaarten StevensonAlexander MortonForced for some time to be a fighting slave, a pagan warrior escapes his captors with a boy and joins a group of Crusaders on their quest to the Holy Land.Visually stunning, a splendid fable, full of mysticism, brutality and strangeness... Refn at his best.
- DirectorJee-woon KimStarsArnold SchwarzeneggerForest WhitakerJohnny KnoxvilleThe leader of a drug cartel busts out of a courthouse and speeds to the Mexican border, where the only thing in his path is a sheriff and his inexperienced staff.A funny actionner, stupid and useless. It's a bit disappointing, since the director usually does crazier movies. But what to expect when you watch a Schwarzy flick ?
- DirectorPaul W.S. AndersonStarsMilla JovovichSienna GuilloryMichelle RodriguezAlice fights alongside a resistance movement to regain her freedom from an Umbrella Corporation testing facility. Not as spectacular in 3D as the previous one in the series, this Resident Evil is still as stupid and worthless as usual. Paul W.S. Anderson can make spectacular scenes, but can't write the first word of a good script... A shame for everyone involved.
- DirectorRuben FleischerStarsSean PennRyan GoslingEmma StoneIt's 1949 Los Angeles, the city is run by gangsters and a malicious mobster, Mickey Cohen. Determined to end the corruption, John O'Mara assembles a team of cops, ready to take down the ruthless leader and restore peace to the city.A funny gangster movie. Very good actors, simple script, but it all works nicely. Not a masterpiece, but it's a good moment.
- DirectorMartin McDonaghStarsColin FarrellWoody HarrelsonSam RockwellA struggling screenwriter inadvertently becomes entangled in the Los Angeles criminal underworld after his oddball friends kidnap a gangster's beloved Shih Tzu.A really funny and nice movie, by the director of In Bruges. Good writing, smooth direction, excellent actors... Nice shot !
- DirectorDavid MichôdStarsJames FrechevilleGuy PearceJoel EdgertonA seventeen-year-old navigates his survival amongst an explosive criminal family and the detective who thinks he can save him.A tragical crime-family movie. It's beautifully written, very well acted and directed. You can say it's a freaking first movie !!
- DirectorKresten Vestbjerg AndersenThorbjørn ChristoffersenPhilip Einstein LipskiStarsAnders JuulHadi Ka-KoushLærke WintherThe 100 Barbarian Sons of Krull get attacked by a superior force and captured. It's up to the young, weak but smart Ronal to free them. 3 join his dangerous quest.Nice little animated movie. It's funny, parodic, not very interesting in its technical aspects, but all in all, it's quite watchable and stupid. The humor is clearly for adults or young adults, but it works.
- DirectorJames MarshStarsClive OwenAndrea RiseboroughGillian AndersonSet in 1990s Belfast, an active member of the IRA becomes an informant for MI5 in order to protect her son's welfare.A dark thriller, slow and well acted. The direction and the script are a bit classical, but the movie's themes are strong, and the ending leaves some traces.
- DirectorSam PeckinpahStarsWilliam HoldenErnest BorgnineRobert RyanAn aging group of outlaws look for one last big score as the "traditional" American West is disappearing around them.A huge, brutal western. With the idea of making the last classical western, Peckinpah made, in fact, a totally new one. It's dark, it's cynical, it's clever, it's bloody, a pure masterpiece.
- DirectorMateo GilStarsSam ShepardEduardo NoriegaStephen ReaIn Bolivia, Butch Cassidy (now calling himself James Blackthorn) pines for one last sight of home, an adventure that aligns him with a young robber and makes the duo a target for gangs and lawmen alike.Excellent western, with a nice script, very good actors, and a lot of good ideas. Refreshing !
- DirectorRobert RodriguezEli RothQuentin TarantinoStarsKurt RussellRose McGowanDanny TrejoQuentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez's homage to exploitation double features in the '60s and '70s with two back-to-back cult films that include previews of coming attractions between them.A huge homage to the good (and bad) movies of the 70s. It's gross, it's sexy, it's gore, it's all fun !! A little masterpiece.
- DirectorSergei BodrovStarsTadanobu AsanoAmadu MamadakovKhulan ChuluunThe story recounts the early life of Genghis Khan who was a slave before going on to conquer half the world in 1206.Spectacular but poorly written, a disappointing movie, even with a leading actor like Asano.
- DirectorTroy NixeyStarsKatie HolmesGuy PearceBailee MadisonA young girl sent to live with her father and his new girlfriend believes that she has released creatures from a sealed ash pit in the basement of her new home.A little horror movie, never frightening, a bit ridiculous, and not really memorable. A disappointment.
- CreatorKazuki NakashimaStarsTetsuya KakiharaShizuka ItouYuri LowenthalTwo friends, Simon and Kamina, become the symbols of rebellion against the powerful Spiral King, who forced mankind into subterranean villages.A huge japanim series, wonderfully written, visually stunning, with characters bigger than life and a lot of inspiration. Probably one of the best TV animation for years, and one of the best made by Gainax.
- DirectorJohn MooreStarsBruce WillisJai CourtneySebastian KochJohn McClane travels to Russia to help out his seemingly wayward son, Jack, only to discover that Jack is a CIA operative working undercover, causing the father and son to team up against underworld forces.A stupid actioner, funny and written by a braindead monkey.
- DirectorTimo VuorensolaStarsJulia DietzeChristopher KirbyGötz OttoThe Nazis set up a secret base on the dark side of the moon in 1945 where they hide out and plan to return to power in 2018.A spectacular cheesy movie, with a lot of funny ideas, a very nice direction, and a lot of humor. With all the fame around this project, it could've been a big disappointment. It isn't !!
- DirectorGenndy TartakovskyStarsAdam SandlerKevin JamesAndy SambergDracula, who operates a high-end resort away from the human world, goes into overprotective mode when a boy discovers the resort and falls for the count's teenaged daughter. An average animated movie. Easy script, useless songs, predictable characters and story... Funny for all audience, not even disappointing. Just average.
- DirectorMichaël YounStarsJosé GarciaMichaël YounIsabelle FunaroMuzafar and Feruz are two good-hearted shepherds from Taboulistan... a tiny country in Central Asia that no one has ever heard of. In order to bring his country into the international limelight, the son of the Tabouli president decides to try terror "advertising" and entrusts the two shepherds, more naive than evil, with the mission of a lifetime: destroying the Eiffel Tower! To meet their objective, they have to move through the most hostile territory imaginable: France! A France far different from the West they had heard described: Corsican nationalists, over-zealous policemen, dishonest taxi drivers, violent sports fans, crabby employees, unfriendly waiters, Kafkaesque administrations and medical malpractice... they are spared nothing. Luckily they meet Marianne, a young and pretty reporter who mistakes them for illegal aliens and helps shows them another face of France... a hospitable, magnificent and generous land where the living is easy. Vive la France!Stupid and funny, this french Borat is far behind its model, but has got some ideas of its own. The actors are good, the story is deeply dumb, and you often smile, if not laugh. A little disappointing, but funny nonetheless.
- DirectorRobert ZemeckisStarsDenzel WashingtonNadine VelazquezDon CheadleTroubling questions arise after airline pilot Whip Whitaker makes a miracle landing after a mid-air catastrophe.A very nice movie about addiction. But some of the "thanks god" are just annoying... The movie is a little too long, but Denzel Washington carries it all on his shoulders.
- StarsLuci ChristianJessica BooneJohn GremillionTwo kids whose families own businesses in a shopping arcade that's scheduled to shut down are thrown into a series of dimensions, each one a parody of some form of anime or video game, and try to find their way home. One of the best animated series of the decade, Abenobashi is hugely funny, and sometimes moving. Another little gem from the Gainax !
- DirectorMaurice BarthélémyStarsMaurice BarthélémyJim CarterIsabelle NantySpoof documentary comedy set in 1969 about the worlds worst boxer.Todo mach !!
- DirectorOlivier MegatonStarsLiam NeesonFamke JanssenMaggie GraceIn Istanbul, retired CIA operative Bryan Mills and his wife are taken hostage by the father of a kidnapper Mills killed while rescuing his daughter.A stupid, fast and distracting actioner. Not really as bad as I thought it would be, it's still worst than the first. And it's not an easy thing to say... Take off your brain before you watch this !!
- DirectorSergio LeoneStarsClint EastwoodEli WallachLee Van CleefA bounty hunting scam joins two men in an uneasy alliance against a third in a race to find a fortune in gold buried in a remote cemetery.A true masterpiece, one of the best Leone's movies, and one of the best spaghetti-western, if not western in general.
- DirectorSarawut WichiensarnStarsPachornpol JantiengThanyanan MahapirunPhongsak RattanapongGhost Game tells the story of 11 contestants who sign up for a scary reality show which forces them to confront the supernatural and their innermost fears. They're brought to an ancient war museum in Cambodia, which was used as a Khmer Rouge prison twenty years before. Thousands of innocent people were tortured and killed there during the Cambodian war in the 1970s. Now the museum is abandoned, and no one dares to step inside. The single winner of the show will be rewarded for 5 million Baht ($US 130,000), the highest amount ever offered on a Thai game show. Inspired by the big reward, they accept to risk their lives in the museum, confronting traps set by the show's producers, as well as those of the real ghosts whose spirits haunt the place. This film is the proof that a good idea doesn't always make a good movie. It's not really scary, but it should've. Kind of a mystery to me...
- DirectorAgnès JaouiStarsAgathe BonitzerAgnès JaouiArthur DupontLaura is still waiting for Prince Charming at the age of 24. So when Sandro appears at a party, exactly like her Prince would in her dreams, she thinks she's found the right one. But then again, when she meets Maxime, Laura starts to wonder if some Princes could be more charming than others? Of course Sandro has problems of his own : his father, Pierre, just bumped into Madam Irma at his father's funeral and this reminded him of the date of his own death which Madame Irma had predicted ages ago. Now Pierre is unable to make any plans, not with his new partner Eleonore, nor with Sandro. And Maxime has his own problems, and so does Eleonore, Marianne, Jacqueline and many others. But don't worry, in the end, they'll all live happily ever after.Very nicely written and acted, a drama comedy about life, love and all these kind of things. One of the best by the excellent french duet of actors & writers, Agnès Jaoui and Jean-Pierre Bacri.
- DirectorTommy WirkolaStarsJeremy RennerGemma ArtertonPeter StormareBrother/sister duo Hansel and Gretel are professional witch-hunters who help innocent villagers. One day they stumble upon a case that could hold the key to their past.Funny and stupid, a B-movie with guts and blood. Nothing more.
- DirectorEric RochantStarsJean DujardinCécile de FranceTim RothAn FSB officer falls in love with his agent, an American woman, who works as a trader in a Russian bank.A nice political thriller, with a love story and some drama. It's not a masterpiece, it's a simple story told in twisted ways, but the actors are very good, and it's highly enjoyable.
- CreatorRyôe TsukimuraStarsHouko KuwashimaKotono MitsuishiShelley Calene-BlackTwo beautiful female assassins travel the world accepting assignments to kill various culprits, and at the same time, having deadly traps set against them by their own employer.Visually aging, Noir is a bit boring, not very clever or interesting, and today, nobody could imagine it's been a huge success in Japan and anywhere else.
Not really a bad TV series, just slow, slightly boring and not very well written. A disappointment. - DirectorSam RaimiStarsJames FrancoMichelle WilliamsRachel WeiszA small-time magician is swept away to an enchanted land and is forced into a power struggle between three witches.Visually goodlooking, with some strange choices, Oz is quite nice, but very lame. The direction never goes full ahead, and some parts are quite boring. You never know what kind of public the movie aims...
Strange. A little disapointment. - DirectorHarmony KorineStarsVanessa HudgensSelena GomezAshley BensonFour college girls hold up a restaurant in order to fund their spring break vacation. While partying, drinking, and taking drugs, they are arrested, only to be bailed out by a drug and arms dealer.Made like a (too) long clip, this strange little movie never gets serious or really interesting. The actors are just over-doing it, the script is quite basic, and tries too much to be clever...
Not as bad as I feared, not as good as some said. - DirectorTom TykwerLana WachowskiLilly WachowskiStarsTom HanksHalle BerryHugh GrantAn exploration of how the actions of individual lives impact one another in the past, present and future, as one soul is shaped from a killer into a hero, and an act of kindness ripples across centuries to inspire a revolution.Strange, visually intersting, Cloud Atlas talks about mankind, love and courage. Universal and spectacular, a very good movie, that deserved a better carreer in theaters.
- DirectorDavid MoreauStarsVirginie EfiraPierre NineyCharles BerlingAlice works for "Rebelle" magazine, where she needs to let her hair down to get a promotion. When Balthazar returns a lost USB to Alice, the appearance of dating someone half her age helps her. Does it get real?Well... Classical french rom-com, well done, but without any kind of originality. Couldn't understand why everyone loved it.
If this is the best rom-com we can do in France, we can stop right now. It's not bad, it just lacks any identity. - DirectorGreg MottolaStarsSimon PeggNick FrostSeth RogenTwo English comic book geeks traveling across the U.S. encounter an alien outside Area 51.Funny and geeky, a very nice road movie, with a lot of humour, a bunch of very good actors, and a very classical story. Not a masterpiece, just a lot of fun !
- DirectorTakashi MiikeStarsTadanobu AsanoNao ÔmoriShin'ya TsukamotoAs sadomasochistic yakuza enforcer Kakihara searches for his missing boss he comes across Ichi, a repressed and psychotic killer who may be able to inflict levels of pain that Kakihara has only dreamed of achieving.Crazy adaptation of the cult manga series, Ichi is one of the best movies directed by Miike that made it to the occident.
Funny, gory, you can be a fan or not of the original manga, and you'll like it anyway.
The only little disappointment would be the end, very different from the original, but not uninteresting.
And btw, there is Asano in it. So it's always worth it. - DirectorShinji IshihiraStarsChihiro SuzukiShinpachi TsujiSayaka ÔharaAnimated prequel to Ichi the Killer (2001), focusing on the origin story of the psychopathic killer Ichi.It should've been interesting, but the art direction is very lame, with bad animation and very low budget. Nothing worth the time you take to watch it, here...
- DirectorJohn LounsberyWolfgang ReithermanArt StevensStarsBob NewhartEva GaborGeraldine PageTwo mice of the Rescue Aid Society search for a little girl kidnapped by unscrupulous treasure hunters.A little movie, with a very little story. The animation and the style are good, but the story is really poor, and the directors do what they can to make a very short story into a 75 minutes motion picture.
Some very good ideas make it watchable, but nothing exceptional. - DirectorAntoine FuquaStarsGerard ButlerAaron EckhartMorgan FreemanSecret Service agent Mike Banning finds himself trapped inside the White House in the wake of a terrorist attack and works with national security to rescue the President from his kidnappers.Huge stupid action packed movie. With no brain, no originality, and a lot of blood. But well, it's kind of funny to look at, and it's correctly directed. With some good actors. Entertaining, brainless.
- DirectorDerek CianfranceStarsRyan GoslingBradley CooperEva MendesTwo men and their sons must deal with the unforeseen consequences of their actions.A nicely done drama, about family, appearances, atavism and more interesting subjects. The actors are all impressive, the direction is top notch... An excellent movie !!
- DirectorScott DerricksonStarsEthan HawkeJuliet RylanceJames RansoneA controversial true-crime writer finds a box of Super 8 home movies in his new home, revealing that the murder case he is currently researching could be the work of an unknown serial killer whose legacy dates back to the 1960s.A classical horror movie, with some nice ideas, but nothing really scary (even if it could've been very scary).
Not bad, but forgettable. - DirectorJon M. ChuStarsDwayne JohnsonChanning TatumAdrianne PalickiThe G.I. Joes are not only fighting their mortal enemy Cobra; they are forced to contend with threats from within the government that jeopardize their very existence.Incredibly stupid, not really funny, a lousy script, inept dialogues... This second GI Joe is worse than the first on every side, it's almost painful to watch it. Really bad !!
- CreatorRui AraizumiHajime KanzakaStarsMegumi HayashibaraYasunori MatsumotoLisa OrtizThe adventures of a teenage sorceress and her companions as they quest for gold and glory (especially gold).Funny old-school anime, Slayers is some kind of parodic series of fantasy, with some great characters, incredible seiyus, and a nice story.
- DirectorHiroshi WatanabeKazuo YamazakiStarsMegumi HayashibaraMaria KawamuraYuri ShiratoriLina Inverse and her overly-endowed associate Nagha the Serpent travel to Mipross Island, where they encounter an old sage who enlists them in his battle to defeat the demon Joyrock.A cool cinema movie, from the original TV series Slayers. It's as fun as ever, with the incredible Naga, and some nice characters. The story is cool, and the animation much better than the series' one. A good catch !
- DirectorEmmanuelle BercotFred CavayéAlexandre CourtèsStarsJean DujardinGilles LelloucheGéraldine NakacheA series of short films set around the theme of infidelity.Very funny, quite dumb by moments, with some guts and very good actors... An excellent comedy, with some originality. Give it a try !!
- DirectorBryan SingerStarsNicholas HoultStanley TucciEwan McGregorThe ancient war between humans and a race of giants is reignited when Jack, a young farmhand fighting for a kingdom and the love of a princess, opens a gateway between the two worlds.A classical story, with a huge visual review. Nice family movie !!

But complications set in when the film crew lose their objectivity and begin lending a hand.Gem of dark humor, this is the first accomplishment of Benoit Poelvoorde. Probably one of the best dark comedy of all time, and one of the best belgian movies.
- DirectorJoseph KosinskiStarsTom CruiseMorgan FreemanAndrea RiseboroughA veteran assigned to extract Earth's remaining resources begins to question what he knows about his mission and himself. Not very good, a slow, boring, but visually spectacular sci-fi flick.
Nice pictures, quite good story, but the storytelling is just awful. - DirectorJoe JohnstonStarsBenicio Del ToroAnthony HopkinsEmily BluntUpon his return to his ancestral homeland, an American man is bitten and subsequently cursed by a werewolf.Nicely done movie, a bit slow, but with good actors and a well written script. The big problem is the make up... Even if I like Rick Baker a lot, the kind of creatures he made in the 80s aren't necessarily good looking with a mix of CGI, nowadays... All in all, a nice little flick, not as bad as I feared, but not a masterpiece or even a very good movie.
- DirectorKirk DeMiccoChris SandersStarsNicolas CageRyan ReynoldsEmma StoneAfter their cave is destroyed, a caveman family must trek through an unfamiliar fantastical world with the help of an inventive boy.Funny and very well written, a nice and punchy animated movie, with excellent characters and a classical, yet very well done, storytelling.
One of the best movies I've seen this year ! - DirectorMarcel CarnéStarsJean GabinMichel SimonMichèle MorganA military deserter finds love and trouble (and a small dog) in a foggy, French port city.Gorgeous drama, with some splendid actors (Gabin, Morgan, Simon & Brasseur, of course), and incredible visuals. Yes, it's old, the game of the actors is old school, but the story is kind of universal, and every single picture and piece of dialogue is beautiful.
A terrific classic. - 19641h 35mPG8.4 (519K)97MetascoreDirectorStanley KubrickStarsPeter SellersGeorge C. ScottSterling HaydenAn unhinged American general orders a bombing attack on the Soviet Union, triggering a path to nuclear holocaust that a war room full of politicians and generals frantically tries to stop.A masterpiece of dark humor. The only comedy by the best director of all time.
- DirectorKar-Wai WongStarsTony Leung Chiu-waiZiyi ZhangJin ZhangThe story of martial-arts master Ip Man, the man who trained Bruce Lee.50% boring, 50% impressive, The Grandmaster is a splendid kung-fu movie, with bits of slow romance. Wong Kar Wai couldn't help it.
- DirectorClint EastwoodStarsClint EastwoodVerna BloomMarianna HillA gun-fighting stranger comes to the small settlement of Lago and is hired to bring the townsfolk together in an attempt to hold off three outlaws who are on their way.Splendid and crepuscular western, by and with Eastwood. It's tragical and a bit fantastic, and it's easily one of the best of its kind (not exactly a classical western, but not a spaghetti or parodic one either).
- DirectorMichael CacoyannisStarsAnthony QuinnAlan BatesIrene PapasAn uptight English writer travelling to Crete, on a matter of business, finds his life changed forever when he meets the gregarious Alexis Zorba.Funny and tragical, a magnificent portrait of a one-of-a-kind man, Zorba. The women are awfully treated, but the movie itself is splendid, with a unique point of view, and some beautiful lessons. A classic.
- DirectorPierre-François Martin-LavalStarsChristian ClavierIsabelle NantyPierre-François Martin-LavalThe worst teachers are recruited to save the worst school in France from shutting down.Lame french comedy, with poor script, and a small amount of funny moments.

At a meeting with childhood friends he announces the name for his future son. The scandalous name ignites a discussion which surfaces unpleasant matters from the past of the group.Very well written french comedy, Le prénom is arguably one of the best movies of its kind in France, for the last years... And it's well played and directed, too !! Quite rare...
- DirectorLucio FulciStarsTomas MilianAdrienne LarussaGeorges WilsonIn 16th century Italy, a young noblewoman plots with her lover and her family to murder her abusive father, leading to an uproar in the community and the Catholic Church.A strange, slow historical movie, with a good casting and strong visuals. Not a masterpiece, but arguably one of the best "classics" by Fulci.
- DirectorAnthony MarcianoStarsAlain ChabatMax BoublilSandrine KiberlainA frustrated young musician finds unexpected kinship with his girlfriend's father.Very funny french comedy. Good actors (and beautiful actresses), very good punchlines, classical but nice story... The best french comedy of 2013 so far !
- DirectorDarren Lynn BousmanStarsStephen MoyerMia KirshnerAllie MacDonaldA man takes his family on a camping trip and becomes convinced they are being stalked by the legendary monster of the New Jersey Pine Barrens: the Jersey Devil.Cheap little horror film. The actors are quite good, the story should've been interesting : it's just a bit boring, not very well written, and quite predictable. Not really a disappointment from the director of Saw II & III (meh), but still, you can see the quality it should've been through the holes of the story.
- DirectorShane BlackStarsRobert Downey Jr.Guy PearceGwyneth PaltrowWhen Tony Stark's world is torn apart by a formidable terrorist called the Mandarin, he starts an odyssey of rebuilding and retribution. This third Iron Man made me forget the lame second movie. It's funny, spectacular, not very faithful to the original material (who said The Mandarin ?), but highly enjoyable. A very good one !!
- DirectorYves RobertStarsPhilippe NoiretFrançoise BrionMarlène JobertAlexandre, a young and honest farmer under the yoke of an authoritarian wife, works around the clock in the fields. He then crosses the path of Mustafa, who presents his sister Sabrina of which Arnaud immediately falls in love. But he realizes very quickly that the only way to seduce her is to let her believe that he has Arabic origins like her and that he is called - Mohamed.Funny little french comedy about immigrants. Not a masterpiece, but not as shameful as the concept could've done.
- DirectorPeter AskinDouglas McGrathStarsDouglas McGrathSigourney WeaverPaul GuilfoyleA high-school teacher in the 1960s becomes an international spy and becomes involved in a plot to overthrow Fidel Castro.Old school comedy, with a huge casting. Funny and entertaining.
- DirectorRuggero DeodatoStarsDavid PaulPeter PaulRichard LynchTwo twin barbarians seek revenge from the warlord who massacred their tribe and captured them when they were small children.Purely stupid movie, with actors lost in the set, and the twins making strange noises and talking crap. Aweful, shameful... Hilariously funny !
- DirectorM.J. BassettStarsAdelaide ClemensKit HaringtonSean BeanWhen her adoptive father disappears, Sharon Da Silva is drawn into a strange and terrifying alternate reality that holds answers to the horrific nightmares that have plagued her since childhood. The story isn't very good, the script itself is a mess, the direction is disappointing, the 3D is weak... A lame sequel.
- DirectorMario BavaStarsStephen ForsythDagmar LassanderLaura BettiA cleaver-wielding bridal designer murders various young brides-to-be in an attempt to unlock a repressed childhood trauma.Very nice giallo, old school, without a ton of blood, but a very gripping ambiance. A very good Bava !!
- DirectorAndrew StantonLee UnkrichStarsAlbert BrooksEllen DeGeneresAlexander GouldAfter his son is captured in the Great Barrier Reef and taken to Sydney, a timid clownfish sets out on a journey to bring him home.Splendid Pixar movie. The 3D re-release isn't as good as expected, but some scenes are more spectacular anyway. Pure fun !
- DirectorFede AlvarezStarsJane LevyShiloh FernandezJessica LucasFive friends head to a remote cabin, where the discovery of a Book of the Dead leads them to unwittingly summon up demons living in the nearby woods.Gory reboot of the cheesy original movie, this Evil Dead isn't half as fun as the Sam Raimi's one, but it deserves some nice reviews. Good flick !
