Just finished with my first day and I have to say, it was a crazy night. I think I slept around 3 hours, which is a lot, considering I was expecting no sleep. No, I don't look like a zombie. Yet... (*dramatic pause* and a quick C.J. quote: "Yo, don't joke about zombies. That *beep* there - that's real." ) Yes, I've watched them all. All the 5 Scary Movies. I have to admit, they really suck. But, in the end, I laughed, mostly because of the stupid stuff they said. For example, my Shorty's favourite: "Shorty: [Lying on the ground] Oh, Cindy he got me in the lung. [Smoke is coming out of the wound] Shorty: Wanna hit this *beep* :D Disaster Movie was, well.. a complete disaster, I expected a little bit more. The movie I loved the most was "Ferris Bueller's Day Off". Come on, the dude is epic! If I pulled something like that, I'd probably get caught in a flash. And, for the end, I shall write an inspiring quote and eat my feelings because no one reads this, while I continue my adventure. Also, because I need to look smart and make you believe I actually do something in my life over the summer break. (I really don't!) "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it." I need this, okay? I've just spent 7 hours watching Scary Movies. I need this!

Well, 2nd day is officially over. I do have to say, it was better than the first one. Maybe because I like action movies more than comedies? I guess. Okay, it's review time. I've finally watched "Fight Club" (yes yes, judge me all you want :D) and I have to say - I'm not that impressed. I mean, I rated with a 6, and I can't give it more than that. First of all, I was pissed with Tyler's weak side, and the way he couldn't stand up for himself. I was yelling at the tv, I was that pissed. But, Edward Norton did a great job as an actor, I admire him and he is one of my favourite actors. Also, the character of Marla - I couldn't stand her. I don't konw why, but she was extremely annoying to watch. Again, not the actress, but the character. My favourite quote would be when Tyler talks about Marla in the beginning of the movie:

If I did have a tumor, I'd name it MARLA."

"Inception" was really good, too. Leonardo did a great job! I loved the relationship between Arthur and Eames.

Eames: [Shows up while Arthur is in a gunfight] You mustn't be afraid to dream a little bigger, darling.
Yes, Eames, we know you're a badass, no need to brag. I loved his character the most because indeed he is a badass. :D Arthur's fight with the security in the hotel was pretty exciting and he looked so HOT! I'm sorry... It's the teenage girl in me that wrote this. My favourite scene is when Cobb goes to find Saito, and he is an old man:

Saito: Have you come to kill me? I've been waiting for someone... Cobb: Someone from a half remembered dream. Saito: Cobb? Impossible. We were young men together. I'm an old man. Cobb: Filled with regret... Saito: Waiting to die alone... Cobb: I've come back for you... to remind you of something. Something you once knew... [the top spins without end] Cobb: That this world is not real. Saito: To convince me to honor our arrangement. Cobb: To take a leap of faith, yes. Come back... so we can be young men together again. Come back with me... [Saito reaches for the gun] Cobb: Come back...

I liked "Watchmen" a lot. Mainly... because of the music. Rorschach is definitely my favourite character. Yes, he is pretty messed up and he seems like a serial killer, but yet - you can see his softer side. He was just fighting for justice, and I admire that. And, let's be real here, when he was in prison and got into that fight, he said: 'None of you seem to understand. I'm not locked in here with you. You're locked in here with me!' That's pretty badass! I also loved the friendship between Rorschach and Dan.

Rorschach: We need to squeeze people. Dan Dreiberg: [sarcastic] Sure. We'll pick them out of a phone book. Rorschach: You forgot how we do things, Daniel. You've gotten too soft. Too trusting. Especially with women. Dan Dreiberg: No, listen, I am through with that! God, who do you think you are, Rorschach? You live off people while insulting them and nobody complains because they think you're a goddamn lunatic! Dan Dreiberg: [Rorschach approaches Dan, who sighs and turns to him] I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said that, man. Rorschach: Daniel? You are a good friend.

Oh! And "Chernobyl Diaries" was pretty solid, too. The end was really unexpected. I liked it.

Two movies that really suprised me were "Schindler's List" and "Gladiator". Let's start with the second one. Now, I was never interested in history movies, and I've watched "Gladiator" many times in my life, but never from the beginning to the end, because, like I said, I thought the movie was boring. Russell Crowe... Wow! Just wow. He was amazing and I just can't imagine anyone who would act it out better than him. I cried, yes I did. I cried a lot. I also liked the character of Gracchus, because, well... Just read this quote:

Gracchus: He enters Rome like a conquering hero. But what has he conquered? Falco: Give him time, Gracchus. He's young, he may do very well. Gracchus: For Rome? Or for you?
My favourite quote is when Maximus takes off his helmet and reveals himself to the Emperor.

Maximus: [removes helmet and turns around to face Commodus] My name is Maximus Decimus Meridius, commander of the Armies of the North, General of the Felix Legions and loyal servant to the TRUE emperor, Marcus Aurelius. Father to a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife. And I will have my vengeance, in this life or the next.
Let's just say that I liked this movie so much I ran to my room, grabbed my history book and read all about the Rome, just to refresh my memory.

Now, the "Schindler's List". I left this one for the end, mainly because I thought I will need the nerves to watch the longest movie and plus - it is black and white one. I personaly don't like black and white movies, and I don't even know why. Let me just say, this movie is probably my favourite movie of all times. It's better than "Les Mis", it's better then all Johnny Depp movies (and trust me, you don't know how much I love him!), it's better than any movie I''ve watched so far. I was shocked, I was amazed, I was crying like a baby at the end. Oskar Schindler, ladies and gentlemen, was a man who was a member of the Nazi party and he saved the lives of 1,200 Jews during the Holocaust. He kissed a Jewish girl and got arrested. He, at first, was interested in making money and being rich, but at the end, realized that he wants to save his workers and help them. I admire him and I am amazed that he had the courage to do what he did. Liam Neeson, the actor who played Oskar in the movie, is probably the best actor for this role. Not only they look similar, but the way he presented Oskar to the world is simply magnificent. Character opposite to Oskar would be Goeth. I know that he is a bad guy, but I was amazed with him, too. I was just astonished with his personaly and what was going on in his head. In one moment he was a monster, but in another, he liked a Jewish girl and he was hilarious. Maybe he was a psycho, but the way Ralph Fiennes played his role is just amazing. The speech Goeth gave when they opened the camp... I will never forget that.

Amon Goeth: Today is history. Today will be remembered. Years from now the young will ask with wonder about this day. Today is history and you are part of it. Six hundred years ago when elsewhere they were footing the blame for the Black Death, Casimir the Great - so called - told the Jews they could come to Krakow. They came. They trundled their belongings into the city. They settled. They took hold. They prospered in business, science, education, the arts. With nothing they came and with nothing they flourished. For six centuries there has been a Jewish Krakow. By this evening those six centuries will be a rumor. They never happened. Today is history.
And of course, the scene where Oskar comes to visit him and they are standing above the bodies of dead Jews. I laughed so much:

Amon Goeth: Can you believe this? As if I don't have enough to do, they come up with this? I have to find every rag buried up here and burn it. The party's over, Oskar. They're closing us down, sending everybody to Auschwitz. Oskar Schindler: When? Amon Goeth: I don't know. As soon as I can arrange the shipments, maybe thirty, forty days. That ought to be fun.
And, for the end, Oskar's little speech he gave to the guard when he took the children from the train:

Oskar Schindler: Hey! Hey! Hey! What are you doing? These are mine. These are my workers. They should be on my train. They're skilled munitions workers. They're essential. Essential girls! Their fingers polish the inside of shell metal casings. How else am I to polish the inside of a 45 millimeter shell casing? You tell me. You tell me!

And here we are, at the end. The third day is officially over and all I want to do is sleep. But I know, I know, I shall write my review first. This one is going to be a little bit shorter than the previous one. Okay, let's start! First, "Aladdin" was awesome. Just like "Gladiator", I've never watched this cartoon from the beginning to the end. And yes, I do live under a rock. :D The music was beautiful, the singing to. This one is my favourite animation movie. I liked the character of Genie, of course. Who wouldn't? I bet 'something fell in your eye' when he said to Aladdin:

No matter what anyone says, you'll always be a prince to me.

I laughed so much when he got out of the lamp for the fist time after a lot of years, and he said to the rug:

Yo, Rugman! Haven't seen you in a few millennia. Give me some tassel. Yeah! Yo yo!

"Brave" was also very good. I didn't expect that the character of Elinor as a bear would be so hilarious. They did a great job. :D I loved the most te first movie of Madagascar. That little villa Marty made on the beach. I mean, who wouldn't live in that? I completely forgot that the voice for Julien is actually Sacha Cohen. Say what you want, but he is one hell of an actor! I loved Marty, because despite the fact that he is an idiot, he is a dreamer. A funny quote from him:

Skipper the Penguin: You, quadruped. Sprechen Sie Englisch? Marty the Zebra: I sprechen. Skipper the Penguin: What continent is this? Marty the Zebra: Manhattan. Skipper the Penguin: Hoover Dam! We're still in New York! Abort! Dive! Dive! Dive!

"Puss in Boots" was okay, I did expect a little bit more. But, I have to admit, the dance fight was awesome and I loved Antonio's voice as the Puss. And yes, I cried a little bit (just a little bit!) when Humpty Dumpty sacrificed his life to save the city, and when he died - he was golden.

Puss: I always knew that you were good on the inside.
