Although I'm pretty sure a good screenplay and a layered character is about anything (and yet not always as easy to accomplish in this genre) the producers need to convince him.

As hard it is to imagine, strong female characters are far too absent in movie history. Fiona Shaw has that special kind of face to become such a memorable and strong character. Sympathetic at first, but unpredictable and unstoppable in her following scenes. I imagine a female Joker for her. Physically in great shape (as strong as Famke Jansen in Goldeneye perhaps), intelligent as Hannibal Lecter and with an underlying absolute madness.
