Star Wars VIII-IX : Potential film directors for future movies and spin offs (other than JJ Abrams)

He did a magnificent job of the first Iron Man movies. I thought his direction behind the camera for Iron Man films was simply superb. Without doubt one of the very best, if not the best, action movies to come from the Marvel-Disney studios in recent times, including Avengers Assemble (see Joss Whedon). Perhaps he could direct the proposed TV series which will apparently include the return of the Dark Lord of the Sith. More importantly, like JJ Abrams he also happens to be a long standing Star Wars fan, which means his heart would be just in the right place. In my opinion he could be a perfect choice for spin offs. My 1st choice.

Director of Avengers Assemble. The action spoke volumes, though he has been a little outspoken in the press about Star Wars, so may well have lost the opportunity which would be a great shame as I think he could do a wonderful job on at least one of the spin off movies.

Already touted to direct a Star Wars spin off. Rumour has it that it will be based on the Seventh Samurai. (Which in fact was what the original Star Wars movie was based on – remember Darth Vader's helmet which resembles that of a Samurai warrior for example).
