Hrishikesh Mukherjee, as lovingly refered by name Hrishida in bollywood, did the magic again. This time the tale was fabulous story of marriage of two families with very disparate culture backgrounds. All the characters, Ashok kumar, Dina Pathak, Rekha, Ranjit Chaudhary (jagan) , Rakesh Roshan and others did great roles of their life time. This movie inspired and paved the way for remake with the same name in 2014 flick by Anil Kapoor and team. (which failed to create magic due to massive comparision with original khubsoorat.)
