Soon, the team realize that only one species can win.Xenomorphs and Yautja
- DirectorKevin ConnorStarsDoug McClurePeter CushingCaroline MunroA Victorian era scientist and his assistant take a test run in their Iron Mole drilling machine and end up in a strange underground labyrinth ruled by a species of giant telepathic bird and full of prehistoric monsters and cavemen.Assorted prehistoric-type creatures
- DirectorJohn De BelloStarsDavid MillerGeorge WilsonSharon TaylorA group of scientists band together to save the world from mutated killer tomatoes.Killer Tomatos
- DirectorJohn De BelloStarsAnthony StarkeGeorge ClooneyKaren M. WaldronCrazy old Professor Gangreen has developed a way to make tomatoes look human for a second invasion.Tomatoes, but this time they're people
- DirectorGary JonesStarsAmber ConnorJoe EstevezDan HaggertyYoung adults at a first-time offenders' boot camp discover the legend of the giant lumberjack Paul Bunyan is real, but is much more horrifying than they could have imagined.A group of young offenders on a court-ordered hiking trip get hunted down and murdered by the literal Paul Bunyan. And as much as I hate to admit it, they actually make that ridiculous concept work. Unfortunately, there is something of an overuse of average to bad CG effects. Like, obviously they needed to use compositing to make Paul Bunyan giant, but the CG gore ends up looking like the characters are paper cutouts.
4/10 - DirectorJerry JamesonStarsStewart MossMarianne McAndrewMichael PatakiAfter being bitten by a bat in a cave, a doctor undergoes an accelerating transformation into a man-bat, which ruins his vacation and causes considerable distress for his wife.Werebat
- DirectorBrett PiperStarsErin BrownJulian WellsRob MonkiewiczWhen a hybrid strain of bio-engineered marijuana is delivered to a secluded strip club, it brings with it a monstrous army of insect creatures and a renegade U.S. federal agent with a big chip on his shoulder.Moderately-sized giant bugs
- DirectorJonathan KingStarsOliver DriverNathan MeisterTammy DavisAn experiment in genetic engineering turns harmless sheep into bloodthirsty killers that terrorize a sprawling New Zealand farm.Killer Sheep

- DirectorCharles B. PierceStarsCharles B. PierceCindy ButlerChuck Pierce Jr.A professor and three of his students camp out in the wilderness to find a Bigfoot-type creature.More or less bigfoot
- DirectorDouglas CheekStarsJohn HeardDaniel SternChristopher CurryA bizarre series of sudden disappearances on the streets of New York City seems to point toward something unsavory living in the sewers.Cannibalistic Humanoid Underground Dwellers
- DirectorGregory GierasStarsLarry CaseyMargaret CashTrevor MurphyA group of cave explorers are menaced by giant centipedes.Giant Centipedes
- DirectorJim WynorskiStarsKelli MaroneyTony O'DellRussell ToddA group of young shopping mall employees stay behind for a late night party in one of the stores. When the mall goes on lock-down before they can get out, the robot security system malfunctions, and goes on a killing spree.Security robots
- DirectorMatt ReevesStarsMike VogelJessica LucasLizzy CaplanA group of friends venture deep into the streets of New York on a rescue mission during a rampaging monster attack.A big thing that nobody cares about
- DirectorJohn MiglioreStarsDeborah Jayne Reilly SmithSimon WheeldonJim OrdolisNature spawns a creature driven by vengeance to destroy a group of cold-blooded cannibals.A movie that combines a cannibal caper and creature feature to creature something that doesn't work as either. There's a lot of time spent with people chained up waiting to be killed and eaten, but there is literally no weight to those scenes as the characters are just kinda surely and bitchy about the situation instead of expressing any kind of genuine fear. As for the creature, one of the victims escapes and gets turned into a monster for no particular reason. It seems like it's supposed to be for vengeance, but then the monster then just kills indiscriminately. Overall it's just like, two different movies happening at the same time, and neither of them are very good. Also they do that thing very common in lower-end horror where they keep referencing much better movies—Texas Chain Saw Massacre, The Hills Have Eyes, Friday the 13th Part VII, Creepshow, etc—which just reminds you of much better movies.
3/10 - DirectorPete RiskiStarsWilliam HopeLeon HerbertRonald PickupA man emerges with his autistic daughter and three others from a hospital elevator to find themselves trapped in the building with devilish monsters. The band Lordi
- DirectorRenny HarlinStarsThomas JaneSaffron BurrowsSamuel L. JacksonSearching for a cure to Alzheimer's disease, a group of scientists on an isolated research facility become the prey, as a trio of intelligent sharks fight back.Giant hyper-intelligent shark
- DirectorLamberto BavaStarsMichael SopkiwValentine MonnierGianni GarkoA marine biologist, a dolphin trainer, a research scientist, and a local sheriff try to hunt down a large sea monster, a shark/octopus hybrid, that is devouring swimmers and fishermen off a south Florida coast.Shark/octopus hybrid
- DirectorKevin O'NeillStarsCostas MandylorCharles NapierBruce WeitzAfter an African dinosaur ancestor of the crocodile is found, Dr. Campbell uses its DNA to create prototypes at Paula Kennedy's Gereco lab.Prehistoric crocodilian
- DirectorCharles BandStarsJared KusnitzGabrielle LynnKristyn GreenIn 1911, abusive father buries daughter Sophia and her dolls after accidentally killing her. 100 years later, bullied teen's new home awakens Sophia's spirit possessing dolls that avenge him against tormentors.Killer Dolls
- DirectorStuart GordonStarsIan Patrick WilliamsCarolyn Purdy-GordonCarrie LorraineA dysfunctional family of three stop by a mansion during a storm -- father, stepmother, and child. The child discovers that the elderly owners are magical toy makers and have a haunted collection of dolls.Good killer doll movie overall. However, some of the themes, and especially the ending, make it feel a bit like an R-rated Goosebumps story. Not saying that's a bad thing, just that that’s vibe I get from the movie.
7/10 - DirectorMaria LeaseStarsDenise CrosbySam BottomsRip TornA toy manufacturer buys the 'Dolly Dearest' factory in Mexico, where the malevolent spirit of Sanzia, a devil child, has taken refuge in one of the porcelain dolls, and eventually takes control of his daughter.A movie that combines the killer doll and possession genres, in a way that adds something to the standard possession story, but takes a bit away from the killer doll angle. The influence of Child's Play is more than a little obvious, and while they do a very good job with the doll effects, but when compared to something like Child's Play there's just a substantial lack in the story. The doll is just evil because it's possessed by an evil spirit, which is evil because it's just evil. There isn't any real identity there or motivation behind its actions, other than being evil.
5/10 - DirectorCharles BandStarsDavid WeidoffJohn Patrick JordanMitch EakinsA group of friends acquire a "Bong" that is possessed by a terrifying demon, but they don't realize it until they start smoking it and begin to imagine things - or maybe it's true everything that is happening? One of those movies that you watch expecting it to be funny, only to learn that the “humor” is based entirely around the fact that it references marijuana, and the start of the saddest chapter of Charles Band's career. Devoid of any value for anyone who wouldn't stare at a blank screen for 90 minutes if told that a pot leaf might appear on it.
And just in case you had any hope for the current state of horror, this movie has six sequels, and the crossover Gingerdead Man vs Evil Bong.
1/10 - DirectorClive CohenStarsJulie StrainBrinke StevensTeresa MayThe Year is 2027. A robot pest controller turned serial killer has embarked on a murderous rampage, carving his way through the population of Atro City. Following in the wake of his destruction are a tough robot homicide detective and a sinister robot psychiatrist. Their investigation will take them on a terrifying journey into a twisted technological nightmare, more terrifying than you can ever imagine.Robot serial killer, being chased by a robot detective
- DirectorJuan Piquer SimónStarsIan SerraNina FerrerSusana BequerA young boy in the woods discovers a lovable alien...or is it?Think like, an Alf/E.T. hybrid
- DirectorJohn GulagerStarsNavi RawatKrista AllenBalthazar GettyPatrons locked inside a bar are forced to fight monsters.Big scary monsters
This movie is everything Slither (2006) was advertised to be. (4/5) - DirectorGeorge McCowanStarsRay MillandSam ElliottJoan Van ArkA group of helpless victims celebrate a birthday on an island estate crawling with killer amphibians, birds, insects, and reptiles. With a title like Frogs, you could be forgiven for assuming this movie was about killer frogs. Whereas in reality, the frogs don't really do much killing, leaving that to the snakes, gators, and other swamp critters while they just hand back and offer moral support. Kinda fun, but still average at best; unless you happen to really like swamp critters.
5/10 - DirectorBill NortonStarsCornel WildeJennifer SaltGrayson HallAn anthropologist/paleontologist and his daughter, while travelling through the southwestern U.S., stumble upon a colony of living, breathing gargoyles.A 70s made-for-TV monster movie with some degree of charm. The creature effects look pretty good, and there is an interesting concept behind it, depicting gargoyles as a demonic antithesis to humans who rise and attempt to conquer the earth every 600 years. Unfortunately, it barely ever even mentions that narrative, and not knowing it wouldn't really even change the plot. Overall, it's just another movie that just kinda takes you from the beginning to the end without making much impact.
5/10 - DirectorLuca BercoviciStarsPeter LiapisLisa PelikanMichael Des BarresA young man and his girlfriend move into an old mansion home, where he becomes possessed by a desire to control ancient demons.A fairly standard Gremlins knockoff. While they look neat, the titular ghoulies don't really do much other than stand around. And when they actually do something, it's fairly unimpressive with their very limited movement. (5/10)
- DirectorAlbert BandStarsDamon MartinRoyal DanoPhil FondacaroThe Ghoulies wreak havoc at an amusement park, disposing of those who mistake them for mere fairground attractions.Focuses much more heavily on the ghoulies than its predecessor. The puppets have been improved quite a bit in both appearance and functionality, but the overall tone is inconsistently wacky. (6/10)
- DirectorJohn Carl BuechlerStarsEvan MacKenzieKevin McCarthyEva LaRueA college teacher brings the little creatures back to his campus, where they proceed to terrorize the faculty and students.Only three ghoulies this time, and they talk now, but any horror that the previous films had has been dropped in favor of slapstick and one-liners. Also, the first Ghoulies to feature a toilet as a plot element. (5/10)
- DirectorJim WynorskiStarsPeter LiapisBarbara Alyn WoodsStacie RandallA retired occultist turned police officer must battle a former lover as she attempts to summon forth demonic forces after escaping an asylum.Despite being directly tied to the first, it barely feels like a Ghoulies movie. Instead of the iconic puppets, we have actors in generic-looking costumes. Also, the ghoulies are more or less inconsequential to the plot. (4/10)
- DirectorBill RebaneStarsSteve BrodieBarbara HaleRobert EastonGiant spiders from another dimension invade Wisconsin.GiantThis movie may have the worst giant spider ever committed to film. However, there is a weird quality to it where it's so fake that it's actually endearing. Other than that, it's 1950s quality in the 1970s. (4/10)
- DirectorCharles BandStarsGary BuseyRobin SydneyRyan LockeAn evil yet adorable Gingerbread man comes to life with the soul of a convicted killer - this real life cookie monster wreaks havoc on the girl who sent the killer to the electric chair.Killer Gingerbread Man
- DirectorFredric HobbsStarsChristopher BrooksStuart LancasterE. Kerrigan PrescottA mutant sheep is on the move near a ranch in the American West.Prehistoric sheep hybrid monster?
- DirectorSergio MartinoStarsBarbara BachClaudio CassinelliMel FerrerTourists on a tropical island anger an island god, who turns himself into a giant alligator and stalks them.Giant alligator
- DirectorJoe DanteStarsZach GalliganPhoebe CatesHoyt AxtonA young man inadvertently breaks three important rules concerning his new pet and unleashes a horde of malevolently mischievous monsters on a small town. The titular gremlins
- DirectorJoe DanteChuck JonesStarsZach GalliganPhoebe CatesHowie MandelThe Gremlins are back, and this time, they've taken control of a New York City media mogul's high-tech skyscraper. As in the first movie, but this time with wacky variations
- DirectorWilliam GirdlerStarsChristopher GeorgeAndrew PrineRichard JaeckelAn eighteen-foot-tall grizzly bear terrorizes a state park, leaving it up to a Park Ranger to save the day.In theory, a movie about a giant bear sounds great, bears are objectively terrifying. But the actual bear used—while literally being the largest bear in captivity at the time—was never really given any scale to highlight its size, and the props used in the attack scenes just looked bad. Overall, just a very "trying to be Jaws on land" feeling.
5/10 - DirectorAndré SzötsStarsGeorge ClooneyLaura DernCharlie SheenAll hell breaks loose when a giant Grizzly, reacting to the slaughter of Grizzlies by poachers, attacks at a massive big-band rock concert in the National Park.A movie that sat on the shelf for 37 years, and was not worth the wait. It seems like they were just shy of enough footage for a complete movie, leading to a substantial about of its short run time being taken up with excessive padding footage. Seriously, there are so many extended shots of the concert and sweeping drone shots of the forest. At least they actually had a properly giant bear prop this time.
4/10 - DirectorRick SloaneStarsTom BartlettPaige SullivanSteven BoggsA young security guard must track down diminutive aliens who kill people even as they make their fantasies come true.Fuzzy puppets... I mean aliens? with like, magic powers?
- DirectorBarbara PeetersJimmy T. MurakamiStarsDoug McClureAnn TurkelVic MorrowHumanoid sea creatures start killing a fishing town's residents, and raping their women. It's up to the townsfolk and a visiting biologist to fight back and fend them off.Fish people
- DirectorJeffery Scott LandoStarsMeghan HeffernRhonda DentTravis WattersCami is a dedicated student of entomology that is researching insects in her sorority house. When her sorority sister Josi sprays insecticide on her bugs, Cami becomes upset. But sooner she learns that the insects had grown bigger and bigger and she and her sisters are under siege by the insects. Further, Josi is the host of the breed of mutant insects that are very hungry.A giant killer bug movie that was unfortunately made in 2005. Which of course means, discount CGI insects—and arachnids, you know how these movies like to call everything "Bugs." There are some practical effects used, which are pretty good, but incredibly minimal. For the most part, it's just the okayest CGI the filmmakers could afford swinging wildly at actresses very much looking like they're trying to react to something that isn't there.
3/10 - DirectorSteven SpielbergStarsRoy ScheiderRobert ShawRichard DreyfussWhen a killer shark unleashes chaos on a beach community off Cape Cod, it's up to a local sheriff, a marine biologist, and an old seafarer to hunt the beast down.Great white shark
- DirectorSteven SpielbergStarsSam NeillLaura DernJeff GoldblumA pragmatic paleontologist touring an almost complete theme park on an island in Central America is tasked with protecting a couple of kids after a power failure causes the park's cloned dinosaurs to run loose.Dinosaurs
- DirectorFrank OzStarsRick MoranisEllen GreeneVincent GardeniaA nerdy florist finds his chance for success and romance with the help of a giant man-eating plant who demands to be fed.Sentient flesh-eating space plant
- DirectorJerry LondonStarsClint WalkerRobert UrichCarl BetzA small construction crew on an island is terrorized when a spirit-like being takes over a large bulldozer, and goes on a killing rampage. The movie about a killer bulldozer. And one that's quite a bit better than a movie about a killer bulldozer has any right to be. It's not the most entertaining film ever made, but it definitely goes beyond the bare minimum. (5/10)
- DirectorLarry BlamireStarsLarry BlamireFay MastersonBrian HoweA bad scientist and his wife, a mad scientist, a skeleton, and two aliens and their escaped pet are all searching for the elusive element "atmospherium".Alien and talking skeleton
- DirectorStephen ChiodoStarsGrant CramerSuzanne SnyderJohn Allen NelsonAliens who look like clowns come from outer space and terrorize a small town.Aliens who look like clowns
- DirectorKevin ConnorStarsDoug McClureJohn McEnerySusan PenhaligonDuring World War I, a German U-boat sinks a British ship and takes the survivors on board. After it takes a wrong turn, the submarine takes them to the unknown land of Caprona, where they find dinosaurs and neanderthals.Dinosaurs
- DirectorBrett LeonardStarsJack ThompsonMatthew Le NevezSteve BastoniAgents of an oil tycoon vanish while exploring a swamp marked for drilling. The local sheriff investigates and faces a Seminole legend come to life: Man-Thing, a shambling swamp-monster whose touch burns those who feel fear.Marvel Comics' Man-Thing (a swamp monster)
- DirectorTim BurtonStarsJack NicholsonPierce BrosnanSarah Jessica ParkerEarth is invaded by Martians with unbeatable weapons and a cruel sense of humor.Retro-inspired martians
- DirectorEric ForsbergStarsErin EvansSarah LievingJustin L. JonesAfter a massive earthquake in Tokyo, two American filmmakers document the true cause of the destruction.Cloverfield knockoff with even less notable monster
- DirectorJack CardiffStarsDonald PleasenceTom BakerBrad HarrisA scientist experiments with crossing humans and plants, for which he uses his students.A very solid and very British film—it even features popular Doctor Who Tom Baker. However, it does suffer a bit from having two stories, neither of which feel s like it's being fully explored.
6/10 - DirectorH. Tjut DjalilStarsIlona Agathe BastianYos SantoSofia W.D.A woman researches a book that takes her to the black magic cult of Leák in Bali. She meets an evil witch who promises to train her dark arts. But she is tricked and turned into a flying vampire with internal organs hanging from her neck.Penanggalan
- DirectorMark PoloniaStarsJeff KirkendallRyan DaltonJamie MorganA fame-seeking televangelist and his film crew team set out to find the fabled Noah's Ark, but discover it is guarded by both an ancient curse and a prehistoric great white shark.Sharksploitation is a very hit-or-miss genre. Usually, miss... as it is here.
I think the shark was supposed to be Satan, I'm honestly not sure. I also think the plot was supposed to be coherent, once again, not sure though. (2/10) - DirectorYossi WeinStarsMichael Reilly BurkeMeredith MortonFredric LehneA giant, man-eating octopus suddenly appears in the Hudson River during the Fourth of July weekend and begins to leave a trail of dead bodies behind it.Giant Octopus
- DirectorMichael AndersonStarsRichard HarrisCharlotte RamplingWill SampsonA hunter squares off against a killer whale seeking vengeance for the death of its mate.Killer whale (technically more like a dolphin)
- DirectorGuillermo del ToroStarsIdris ElbaCharlie HunnamRinko KikuchiAs a war between humankind and monstrous sea creatures wages on, a former pilot and a trainee are paired up to drive a seemingly obsolete special weapon in a desperate effort to save the world from the apocalypse.Gamera-style kaiju
- DirectorG.W. LawrenceStarsCristie ClarkLonna CottrellSal LongoTwo roommates have a mysterious, hideous painting delivered to them that harbors a sinister secret.Another... let's just say "Interesting" offering from Wave Video, a company best known for producing films that seem like they might be illegal, but probably aren't. Which also makes some of their catalog rare enough to make that a noteworthy feature. As is the case with The Painting of Horror, a movie only released as a "B film" on an incredibly obscure double feature VHS tape. It's the sort of thing where the experience of finding the movie is much more exciting than actually watching it.
As for the actual movie, it opens with a woman dressing, undressing, showering, and then dressing again, all without any nudity. Mostly it's a bunch of nothing occasionally cutting away to a woman dancing on a table in what looks like—and probably is—someone's garage. The painting does kill someone, but the scene drags out in a very specific way that makes it obvious that it was intended for someone who gets off of women being suffocated. And normally I wouldn't recommend watching something this devoid of content, but like, it's only 20 minutes, so you might as well just for the experience of it.
2/10 - DirectorJoe ChappelleStarsPeter O'TooleRose McGowanJoanna GoingIn the peaceful town of Snowfield, Colorado something evil has wiped out the community. And now, its up to a group of people to stop it, or at least get out of Snowfield alive.Ya know what, I'm not really sure
- DirectorJoe DanteStarsBradford DillmanHeather Menzies-UrichKevin McCarthyWhen flesh-eating piranhas are accidentally released into a summer resort's rivers, the guests become their next meal.Piranhas
- DirectorMark L. LesterStarsCameron DaddoCoolioAmy SloanA dormant volcano deep with the Turkish forest holds a deadly secret. Perfectly preserved, a nest of pterodactyl eggs are ready to hatch...Pterosaurs... also, Coolio's in it
- DirectorDavid SchmoellerStarsPaul Le MatWilliam HickeyIrene MiraclePsychics find themselves plotted against by a former colleague, who committed suicide after discovering animated, murderous puppets.Killer Puppets, though honestly they're more like dolls
- DirectorTed NicolaouStarsCorey FeldmanVanessa AngelDanielle KeatonA group of toymakers seek to use Andre Toulon's formula, now in the hands of Toulon's great-nephew Robert, to give life to a line of killer toys that they plan to unleash on Christmas Eve.Killer puppets and toys
- DirectorGeorge PavlouStarsDavid DukesKelly PiperHugh O'ConorAn ancient creature called Rawhead is awakened from its slumber near an Irish village and goes on a rampage killing anyone in sight.A movie that on its own would have been fine, but unfortunately does not live up to the expectations set by having the name Clive Barker attacked to it. Overall it is your standard monster movie: monster shows up, kills some people, get's a little bit of backstory, then at the last minute some weakness is discovered and exploited to defeat them. As I said, if you just want to watch a thing kill some people, it's good for that. However, this specific thing, is just kinda unremarkable, both in appearance and backstory. And quite a far cry from the penis-headed horror that Clive Barker had envisioned.
6/10 - DirectorPeter HyamsStarsPenelope Ann MillerTom SizemoreLinda HuntA homicide detective and an anthropologist try to destroy a South American lizard-like god, who's on a people eating rampage in a Chicago museum.Lizard-like mutant
- DirectorMisty TalleyStarsReid MillerCourtney Lauren CummingsJim KlockTrying to survive his family Christmas, Cody makes a wish to be alone, which ends up backfiring when a shark manifests and kills his entire family. This is a movie about an evil shark that acquires Christmas-themed powers from eating an evil Santa, who is brought to life from comic book with a magic pen. Do they explain any of this? No. Do they need to explain any of this? Also no. This movie is unashamedly stupid and never pretends to be anything else. It is absolutely lovely.
5/10 - DirectorSebastian GutierrezStarsRufus SewellCarla GuginoJim PiddockIn Ireland, two carnies abduct a mermaid and decide to take her to America. In their sea route, the seductive and mysterious creature reveals an uncontrollable darker side.Mermaid

- DirectorWes CravenStarsLouis JourdanAdrienne BarbeauRay WiseAfter a violent incident with a special chemical, a research scientist is turned into a swamp plant monster.DC Conics' Swamp Thing (swamp monster)
- DirectorBenni DiezStarsMatt O'LearyJessica CookLance HenriksenA fancy garden party turns into upper class prey when a colony of killer wasps mutates into seven foot tall predators.Good for what it is. If you want a movie about giant wasps, this is that thing. As with most movies of this type, the whole setup leading to giant wasps is kinda forgettable, and almost immediately becomes inconsequential. But when you do get to the wasps, it's a fun monster movie with a slight zombie-esqe twist to it. The practical wasps look great, but the CGI ones look a little floaty and plasticy, especially in daylight, like something from a mid-2000s Sci-Fi Pictures original.
6/10 - DirectorTony RandelStarsRosalind AllenAmi DolenzSeth GreenA group of troubled teenagers are led by social workers on a California wilderness retreat, not knowing that the woods they are camping in have become infested by mutated, blood-sucking ticks.I was not expecting a movie about giant ticks starring Seth Green to be good, and in a rare turn of events, I was wrong. It's not great, but it is an entertaining watch with good effects and just enough comedy to make it fun, without making it stupid.
6/10 - DirectorTom KennedyStarsBen MurphyNina AxelrodKevin BrophyAn alien, buried in King Tut's tomb, terrorizes a college campus.Alien Mummy
