- DirectorRob CohenStarsJason Scott LeeLauren HollyRobert WagnerA fictionalized account of the life of the martial arts superstar. This is a highly fictionalized account of the life story of martial artist, Bruce Lee. Some might say that much of the stuff was altered for the worse, I think the idea from director Rob Cohen wanted to wrap this life story like a Bruce Lee movie like The Big Boss and Enter the Dragon. Jason Lee Scott has a striking an image to Bruce Lee and gives a great performance, showing us a sensitive, yet tough side of the actor. Plus the movie shows us the prejudice that Asians faced, which seems to have gotten lost in the mix of the Civil Rights movements. Finally, the score from Randy Eldeman is phenomenal (You've probably heard the theme in various movie trailers)
- DirectorSteve BarronStarsJudith HoagElias KoteasJosh PaisFour teenage mutant ninja turtles emerge from the shadows to protect New York City from a gang of criminal ninjas. This is defiantly the best adaptation of the comic, toy, and cartoon that every 1980s and 90s child recognized. Jim Henson brought the 4 turtles to life in live action format that no one could have ever imagined. It's often confused for being a duplicate of the animated series when it was darker and more emotional then we realized. Though it's not pushing for any major themes, it's a movie that blends a noir look with a likable-silliness that represents why the turtles will remain in future childhoods forever.

- DirectorDavid LynchStarsRichard FarnsworthSissy SpacekJane Galloway HeitzAn old man makes a long journey by lawnmower to mend his relationship with an ill brother.Let's get this out of the way...David Lynch directed a Disney movie! And a very good one for someone's whose more associated with surreal content. This story is straightforward about an old man who travels by lawnmower to see his brother. Along his journey, we get a kind look into the American midwest and the people who live there. This might be slow for mainstream audiences, but Richard Farnsworth in an Oscar nominated performance carries the movie with the old town charm you'd expect from a mid-wester.
- DirectorTim BurtonStarsJohnny DeppMartin LandauSarah Jessica ParkerAmbitious but troubled movie director Edward D. Wood Jr. tries his best to fulfill his dreams despite his lack of talent.Though the Nightmare Before Christmas is the film Tim Burton would probably liked to be remembered for, Ed Wood seems like his most personal. This is about an individual who pushes through a lot to make his movies (even though their terrible from Glen or Glenda and Plan 9 From Outer Space) and never gives up. This is for the outcasts, losers, and those that never felt like that they could fit in. This is highly recommended for those that want a career in the arts, especially film.
