- DirectorPeter GouldStarsBob OdenkirkJonathan BanksRhea SeehornMike takes a methodical approach to his mission; someone questions Chuck's capabilities; Jimmy faces a personal dilemma.Certainly one of the best paced episodes of the show, "Nailed" brings the series' tension to a whole new height. The white-knuckled episode keeps the audience on the edge of their seats all the way up to the explosive conclusion.
- DirectorMinkie SpiroStarsBob OdenkirkJonathan BanksRhea SeehornJimmy visits Irene at Sandpiper Crossing to see how the class action lawsuit is going; Chuck and Howard spar over the future of the firm; and Kim faces challenges after deciding to take on a new client.
- DirectorJohn ShibanStarsBob OdenkirkJonathan BanksRhea SeehornJimmy decides to represent a new client, much to Kim's dismay. Meanwhile, Mike meets a formidable ally who presents him an enticing offer.Immediately following the ramifications of the events from "Mabel," this episode has our characters take action against their current situations. In short, this episode is about characters refusing to walk away and accept defeat: Jimmy's refusal to be taken down by Chuck, Mike's refusal to let Gus deal with the Salamancas, and of course, Kim's refusal to let Jimmy handle things alone, despite how exhausting it all may be. The argument has been made that this episode is a lot of buildup of what's to come, but its execution in doing so is unmatched. Take that, a lot of great character moments, and you've got yourself a very engaging hour of television.
- DirectorThomas SchnauzStarsBob OdenkirkJonathan BanksRhea SeehornJimmy calls in a favor from Mike. Meanwhile, new complications disrupt the Salamancas' business; and Chuck and Jimmy struggle to compromise.Wow, what an unexpected change of direction (but a welcome one at that). Season 3 kicks the show into high gear, and episode 4 shows that Saul is picking up quite a bit of steam. The episode's main focus is around the character Gustavo Fring, who is once again magnificently played by Giancarlo Esposito, and his presence certainly adds a new layer of tension to the show, exposing glimmers of Breaking Bad's Western style. Perhaps what makes this episode so great is the buildup to it all: the characters and their chemistry, the story, and of course, the tension. What holds this episode back a bit is that it's a tad unfocused, placing its main character in the backseat, but as this is undoubtedly a temporary switch-up, it is forgivable. Overall, "Sabrosito" is a great episode that further closes the gap between Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad.
- DirectorAdam BernsteinStarsBob OdenkirkJonathan BanksRhea SeehornMike's days as a police officer in Philadelphia catch up to him when he's questioned about a tragic event from his past."Five-O" takes the focus off Jimmy, and gives emotional depth to the already beloved character of Mike. Heart-wrenching and tense, the episode added a surprising level of depth to Mike, giving us a look at a new side of the character.
- DirectorVince GilliganStarsBob OdenkirkJonathan BanksRhea SeehornJimmy and Kim hire an assistant; Mike seeks out a mysterious acquaintance; and Chuck uses the law to gain an advantage over Jimmy."Witness" is the conclusion to Season 2's cliffhanger, and while it came a bit earlier than one may have expected, its impact is great. This episode finds more sympathy, yet frustration for our main character, as he tries to remain composed, but eventually lets his emotions get the best of him, his every move being telegraphed by his brother, Chuck. Speaking of Chuck, this episode sure does a great job of making us hate him. Not only is he taking advantage of Jimmy's brotherly compassion for him, doing everything in his power to take him down, but he is also using others for his own personal gain, not caring about the negative effects it may cause. This episode is a great Jimmy v. Chuck episode with a great, albeit upsetting, closing scene.

- DirectorVince GilliganStarsBob OdenkirkJonathan BanksRhea SeehornAs Chuck plots his next move, another lie comes back to haunt Jimmy. A rattled Mike tries to find out who's been tracking his movements - and how.Possibly the slowest paced of the series, "Mabel" managed to keep our interest throughout its entire run time. Procedural, and significantly darker, this episode did a great job of getting us excited for Saul's third season.
