Highlight-Cynthia vs. Female fighter/Yuen biao vs. Baddie. Great example of how Cynthia should have stayed in Hong Kong instead of making really bad straight to video movies in the U.S.

- DirectorWoo-Ping YuenStarsMichelle YeohDonnie YenKing-Tan YuenWing Chun's village is yet again being plundered by bandits. This time she uses kung fu to defeat them. The fighting doesn't end here. This could be regarded as Michelle Yeoh's best film. This kung fu comedy is pretty funny and down right goofy, but with Yuen woo ping doing the action you can expect some crazy over the top wire-work and fight choreography! And probably Donnie Yen's goofiest role as well. Highlight-Michelle vs. Baddie! When you see female action like this there should be no excuses nowadays for crappy female fight movies like Streetfighter the legend of Chun Li! LOL.
- DirectorJohnnie ToStarsMichelle YeohAnita MuiMaggie CheungWhile one tough woman with an invisible robe has stolen 18 babies for her powerful master, two other tough women and the cops try to stop her.Who said only Marvel and DC could make superhero movies! Yes this movie has a Hong Kong budget and the last fight finale looked like terminator gone horribly wrong. but you have to admit that this is one entertaining movie. - DirectorCheh ChangStarsSheng ChiangChien SunPhillip Chung-Fung KwokThe sixth and final pupil of a dying martial arts teacher is instructed to find the teacher's five former pupils and defeat any evil ones that are among them.In terms of action there has been way better movies with the venoms crew then this film. But it was the characters they played which made them memorable for the US audiences. This is a kind of a who done it mystery type movie. The fights are still worth watching and you won't have any kung fu movie cred if you haven't seen this film! LOL Highlight-opening training sequence/end finale
- DirectorCheh ChangStarsKuan Tai ChenFeng LuPhillip Chung-Fung KwokThree men who have been physically disabled by an evil warlord and his physically-disabled son become friends and learn kung fu so that they can seek revenge with help from an elderly martial-arts teacher and his mentally-disabled pupil.AKA Return of the 5 deadly venoms! Obviously not a sequel but as far as entertainment goes this blows the 1st one away! The storyline is over the top but we have better fights, training sequences, ect. My only beef is with the end fight vs. Chen Kuan Tai was a little slow for some reason. Other than that highly recomended! Highlight-The Venoms!

This time, Heavyweight Champ George "Iceman" Chambers is sent to a Russian Jail on trumped-up drug charges.Ive always been a fan of Michael Jai White and he is great in this movie, but Ive got to admit that Mr. Scott Adkins stole this film. The Russian Character he plays is so memorable that the sequel stars only him! This is one of the best straight to video movies Ive seen in years! Good story and performances but with fight scenes that rival big budget hollywood movies! Highly recomended! Highlight-Michael vs. Scott of course
- DirectorIsaac FlorentineStarsScott AdkinsMykel Shannon JenkinsMark IvanirBoyka is back. This time he is fighting in the first ever inter-prison tournament with one knee.Scott Adkins is back as Yuri Boyka. The story from the 1st movie was better but this movie is about one thing, fighting! And with Scott at the helm the fights rival the previous film! This is one of those rare movies that concentrates on the previous film villian's road to redeem himself. You never see movies like this. The only negative is his prison friend Turbo who is pretty useless in this movie due to him being only a boxer that wins his fights with a peek a boo, hide and go seek style LOL! Other than that a must see move. Highlight-Only the most complete fighter in the world of course! LOL
- DirectorJames McTeigueStarsRainRick YuneNaomie HarrisA young ninja turns his back on the orphanage that raised him, leading to a confrontation with a fellow ninja from the clan. This movie had everything going against it. CGI blood, Hollywood trying to make a ninja movie, unoriginal plot, average actors, filmed in really dark places that makes it hard to see action etc! But if you turn your brain off and have low expectations you will like this movie! Surprisingly good action, and even though it's got CG blood Id rather have that then this movie be a watered down PG-13 film. I appreciated the violence in this movie, plus you get a Sho Kosugi bonus. Ninjasploitation lovers rejoice! LOL Highlight-end finale
- DirectorCheh ChangStarsTien-Chi ChengTien-Hsiang LungMeng LoA Chinese martial arts school is infiltrated and destroyed by ninjas. Tian Hao survives the massacre and seeks to uncover the trickery of ninjutsu in order to beat the Five Element Ninjas and avenge his family.Maybe the last great Chang Cheh action film! Nothing new here but whoa those fights! You can even compare this movie to a video game-they fight the lower ninjas, then mini bosses, then the main boss! LOL. Still this is a must have for martial art fans old and new. The different type of ninjas are entertaining as well. Highlight-Good guy still fighting Ninjas while his intestines are hanging out of him. LOL.
- DirectorChang-hwa JeongStarsLieh LoPing WangHsiung ChaoAs two martial arts schools prepare for an important tournament, one school's master is a dishonorable man, and to ensure his son wins the title, he hires three Japanese samurais, who target the rival school's best fighter.AKA King Boxer is the 1st kung fu movie to be shown in the U.S.! The fights are really average nothing to boast about, but it's just an entertaining movie to watch. It's classic old-school with an interesting story. Some decent violence is also present as well. One of Quentin Tarantino's favorite movies. It's also very rare to see Lo-Lieh playing a hero. Highlight-The glowing red hands music theme which was featured in Kill Bill LOL!
- DirectorShigehiro OzawaStarsShin'ichi ChibaGoichi YamadaYutaka NakajimaAfter failing to reach a deal with her enemies, a mercenary karateka protects the daughter of a recently-deceased oil tycoon from the evil conglomerate gunning for her inheritance. One of the most memorable roles for Sonny Chiba! This movie received an x rating when it came out in theaters. The violence is tame compared to today's standards but it's still fun none the less. Highlight-Punching a guy in his head and it's shown in x-ray vision view LOL. Chiba's Character is pretty brutal in this movie and he's not messin around! Hey if you got to fight! Fight Dirty!
- DirectorCheh ChangStarsJimmy Wang YuChiao ChiaoChia Essie LinAfter defeating The Long-Armed Devil and his armies, our nubbed hero has been living in retirement as a farmer, but circumstances causes him to come out of retirement and take on The Eight Kings, each warrior with their own unique fighting style. The time has come for the one armed swordsman to return. The 1st movie was very Iconic and I could see why it was a huge hit back then. But this one for me was so much more entertaining action wise! Way better sword figting sequences, fun display of different weapons, fun movie. Classic Shaw Brothers film making, and for some strange reason Jimmy Wang Yu fought better with one arm on screen then with two.
- DirectorCheh ChangStarsDavid ChiangChing LeeLung TiLei Li lost his right-arm in a sword duel with the master of a martial arts school, long ago. Now, he is able to defend himself well with just his left arm, and kung fu techniques. That he proves with just the help of his friend Chung-Chieng, when he crosses his path with a beautiful girl in need, Pao Chiao. Even against impossible odds, he will prove a great warrior.Brand new story this time starring David Chiang! Some really entertaning fights in this one. Highly recomended! Highlight-David Chiang vs bad guys on bridge!

The ending is eye popping don't miss this one. Shaw Brothers come thru yet againThe most majestic of kung fu stars Ti Lung stars in this exciting eastern. Great fight scenes and memorable characters (Devil Grandma)! This is a must own swordplay movie. Highlight-Ti Lung's weapon, the spinning Tonfa blade! Bad Ass!
- DirectorChia-Liang LiuStarsChia-Liang LiuHou HsiaoKara WaiA disgraced former Kung Fu expert makes a living as a merchant with the help of a hot headed friend. When the men are harassed by gangsters, the merchant decided to teach his friend monkey boxing so they can defend their business.Great kung fu comedy from Liu Chia Hung. Lo Lieh always playing a great villian as well in this one. One of the rare movies that actually star Hsiao Hou as the lead. Highlight-Hsiao Hou's Uncanny acrobatic ability! - DirectorChia-Liang LiuStarsKuan Tai ChenLieh LoYue WongHong Hsi-Kuan devotes years to mastering Tiger style Kung Fu in order to defeat the evil priest Pai Mei. His wife, who is an expert in Crane style Kung Fu, has a feeling training in only one style won't be enough.Around the time when Mr. Shaw Brothers Chen Kuan Tai was a huge star this movie came out and really flipped the audience perspective on this genre. Due to the fact that things happen in this movie that didn't happen in kung fu movies back then. But the real star of this movie is the great Lo Lieh playing the now Iconic evil monk Pai Mae. A version of this character was played by Gordon Liu in Kill Bill vol. 2! Highlight-Lieh can shift his weak spot around his body LOL.

- DirectorChia-Liang LiuStarsChia-Liang LiuKara WaiHou HsiaoCheng Tai-Nan (Kara Hui) is an honest and faithful servant of a dying patriarch who wants nothing more than to protect his vast wealth from his selfish, conniving nephew, Yung-Sheng. Tai-Nan is young enough to be his granddaughter, but still agrees to marry her master so that all of his wealth will be lawfully safe with her so she can then transfer it to Ching-Chuen (Lau Kar-Leung), her new husband/master's favorite nephew. This angers the hateful Yung-Sheng greatly, who sends multiple thugs after Tai-Nan, but she is a highly skilled martial artist who is not easily defeated. Amazingly, things become even more complicated when Ching-Chuen's son, Yu Tao (Hou Hsiao), arrives home from a university in Hong Kong and discovers a mysterious women in his house and attacks her, not realizing she is actually his new great aunt, Tai-Nan. Complicating things even more is the uncomfortable sexual tension between Yu Tao and Tai-Nan. Next Yung-Sheng finally manages to steal all the paperwork, titles, and deeds to Ching-Chuen's wealth. Left with no choice but to lead an all-out attack against Yung-Sheng at his booby-trapped mansion, Tai-Nan decides to get Ching-Chuen and his older brothers back into fighting shape.Perfect showcase why Kara Hui deserved the title of kung fu queen. A fun tradition vs. modern times comedy. But when the action starts especially at the end, hold on. Highlight-Liu Chia Liang vs. Lung Wei Wang

- DirectorLana WachowskiLilly WachowskiStarsKeanu ReevesLaurence FishburneCarrie-Anne MossWhen a beautiful stranger leads computer hacker Neo to a forbidding underworld, he discovers the shocking truth--the life he knows is the elaborate deception of an evil cyber-intelligence.It could be argued that this movie was overated when it came out. But you have to keep in mind that at the time nobody in the U.S. has seen action like this before. This was the Wachowski's ode to Kung fu movies, John Woo action scenes and Japanese anime! You can thank Yuen Woo Ping for creating some great wire-fu and fight choreography in this one even though stiff, wirey, goofy looking Keanu Reeves is doing it. I know kung fu LOL!

Yoh's disciples hunt Chi relentlessly as he travels on a soul-searching journey. He comes to the aid of a seemingly bumbling man who hardly takes even life-threatening scenes seriously. The man Chi saved starts following him on the road, explaining that he's looking for someone who committed a grievous, unforgivable wrong. As the two travel on the road, it starts to become clear that Chi's companion is more than he seems: he's actually a very skilled martial artist, and his boots contain short blades that he can attach to his sleeves. Chi finally tells his companion his story: he's seeking out a renowned swordsman named Cheuk Yi-fan... not to kill him, but to die at his hand. Chi is haunted of the last job he did with the gang, slaughtering many of Cheuk's family and friends... and Chi himself slew Cheuk's pregnant wife. Chi's companion agrees to help Chi with his mission. But when the two arrive at Yoh's stronghold intent on killing him, Yoh recognizes Chi's companion as none other than Cheuk Yi-fan himself. Also one of the more popular Alexander Fu sheng films in america. The fights are not mind blowing but yet still fun to watch! It's fun seeing early cameo's of the venoms crew as well.
