Easter Eggstravaganza18 of 32
Pixar's Easter egg basket:
This studio is known for it's use of Easter eggs, usually reusing toys or characters:
- The Pizza Planet Truck: originally introduced in Toy Story (1995), this vehicle can also be spotted in WALL·E (2008) and Brave (2012).
- The Luxo Ball: The classic Pixar Easter egg, this yellow ball with a red star first appeared in Luxo Jr. (1986) and has since been seen in 11 Pixar films and shorts.
- A113 has also appeared in almost every Pixar film and was the door number of the classroom at the California Institute of the Arts where many of Pixar's chief animators had studied.
- A Binford Toolbox can be spotted in Toy Story (1995), presumably "owned" by Tim Allen, the voice of Buzz Lightyear and star of Home Improvement (1991).
- One of the race cars in Cars (2006) is sponsored by "Apple", the company led by Steve Jobs, owner of Pixar and executive producer of Toy Story (1995).
(see also the P.T. Flea's Wagon, Boo's Toys and John Ratzenberger (Cheers (1982)' Cliff Clavin) who has spoken at least one part in [almost?] every Pixar production)
