Movies I'm GLAAAAAAAD I never saw growing up... Phew!
Or, I'm glad I didn't see when I was younger.
I would've likely lost half my brain if I did...
Either too gruesome, too crude, too desensitizing, too harsh, too stupid, too awful, too inappropriate, too manipulative, too frightening, too atrocious, or just too plain BAD!
~ Movies with little to NO morals! ~
Understand, popular does not always mean good.
And I feel so sorry for those who did have to - someone's gotta help those people.
Some of 'em may even come and rant here.
Though "Groundhog Day" (1993) IS a film I wished I had watched growing up.

- DirectorQuentin TarantinoStarsJohn TravoltaUma ThurmanSamuel L. JacksonThe lives of two mob hitmen, a boxer, a gangster and his wife, and a pair of diner bandits intertwine in four tales of violence and redemption.Overrated trash. Just plain overrated trash!
Worst overrated "dialogue film" ever.
And what I instead call, "Stupid People Going Around Doing Stupid Things."
Though to be fair, it does have a decent soundtrack (give Tarantino for having some good taste in music) but that's just about it. - DirectorDarren AronofskyStarsEllen BurstynJared LetoJennifer ConnellyThe drug-induced utopias of four Coney Island people are shattered when their addictions run deep..
- DirectorSam RaimiStarsBruce CampbellEllen SandweissRichard DeManincorFive friends travel to a cabin in the woods, where they unknowingly release flesh-possessing demons.Don't mind Bruce Campbell, he's cool.
This film is awfully horrifying and disgusting! Same for the sequels. - DirectorBen StillerStarsJim CarreyMatthew BroderickLeslie MannA designer makes a grievious mistake when he rejects the friendship of a borderline cable guy.Hands down, Carrey's WORST performance - he's literally stupid & goes complete FULL retard in this flick, with unfunny humor, inappropriate humor, annoying humor, and sick humor.
All the hype about this movie should be re-directed at "Rocketman" - a movie that's way more funny & lot less annoying. - DirectorJames McTeigueStarsHugo WeavingNatalie PortmanRupert GravesIn a future British dystopian society, a shadowy freedom fighter, known only by the alias of "V", plots to overthrow the tyrannical government - with the help of a young woman.Seriously, one of the most confusing and MESSED UP movies I've seen! I agree with the concept of corrupt government having to be overthrown - but this is one of the most historically inaccurate & worst category-shattering movies I've ever seen. For instance, Guy Fawkes was a extreme heretical Catholic who wanted to blow up Parliament because they were translating the correct manuscripts in the King James Bible in 1611 - NOTHING having to do with "getting rid of corrupt government".
LEARN HISTORY you screenwriters!
Too much didn't make sense, and it's all-round too controversial & biased. - DirectorIvan ReitmanStarsBill MurrayDan AykroydSigourney WeaverThree parapsychologists forced out of their university funding set up shop as a unique ghost removal service in New York City, attracting frightened yet skeptical customers.I see this film as purely fuelled by nostalgia, by 80s kids.
I found it stupid, nonsensical, and blatantly retarded!
Though I admit the theme song's not too bad. - DirectorGus Van SantStarsRobin WilliamsMatt DamonBen AffleckWill Hunting, a janitor at M.I.T., has a gift for mathematics, but needs help from a psychologist to find direction in his life.I like Matt Damon. I like Ben Affleck. And I especially love Robin Williams. (RIP)
But I didn't like this film - I didn't really "root" for Damon's character, who just seemed to insult the people who were helping him. Genius doesn't know how to mop a floor.
Though to be fair, I liked the "it's not your fault" scene, and Williams really acted as a "father figure" to Damon, and I could find that relatable in some ways. - DirectorFrancis Ford CoppolaStarsMarlon BrandoAl PacinoJames CaanThe aging patriarch of an organized crime dynasty transfers control of his clandestine empire to his reluctant son....and it's sequels.
I don't understand the hype all about these movies!!!
Maybe it's just evident how much of a FETISH Hollywood has for violence, blood, gore, sexual innuendos, and bad language!
That's NO "ART"
Everything is shot in the dark, most scenes are often times really boring, , Marlon Brando uses one of the most ridiculous accents, and half the time you can't understand what the characters are saying 'cause they're speaking in Italian! And don't forget the horrendous false cult of Catholicism especially being depicted on-screen; Catholics are DUPED. - DirectorRichard DonnerStarsSean AstinJosh BrolinJeff CohenA group of young misfits called The Goonies discover an ancient map and set out on an adventure to find a legendary pirate's long-lost treasure."The Little Rascals" was more appropriate, more entertaining, & less annoying than this!!
- DirectorTom GreenStarsTom GreenRip TornMarisa CoughlanAn unemployed cartoonist moves back in with his parents and younger brother Freddy. When his parents demand he leave, he begins to spread rumors that his father is sexually abusing Freddy.Stars the worst entertainer in the industry, Tom Green, who's got no idea how to be "funny" or know anything about the word "EFFORT"!!
Harland Williams was shamelessly pulled into this schlock-fest - but go watch his film "Rocketman"; it's a whole lot better than anything Tom Green has put out or starred in! - DirectorLuc BessonStarsJean RenoGary OldmanNatalie Portman12-year-old Mathilda is reluctantly taken in by Léon, a professional assassin, after her family is murdered. An unusual relationship forms as she becomes his protégée and learns the assassin's trade.I like Natalie Portman, even amazingly at a young age she was beautiful & talented - but this film just hurt me!
I don't care if it's rated so high on the iMDb Top 250 - it just only shows how much a FETISH Hollywood has movies and music that are immoral, unethical garbage just to make a fast buck without anything meaningful in movie plots or lyrics.
I mean, after all, an attractive young girl hanging around a grown older man, kinda creepy. - DirectorAlfred HitchcockStarsAnthony PerkinsJanet LeighVera MilesA Phoenix secretary embezzles $40,000 from her employer's client, goes on the run and checks into a remote motel run by a young man under the domination of his mother.Disney was right when he called this a "disgusting" film!
- DirectorJames CameronStarsArnold SchwarzeneggerLinda HamiltonMichael BiehnA human soldier is sent from 2029 to 1984 to stop an almost indestructible cyborg killing machine, sent from the same year, which has been programmed to execute a young woman whose unborn son is the key to humanity's future salvation.I like Arnold Schwarzenegger - he's cool.
This film's just awful. - DirectorRod AmateauStarsAnthony NewleyMackenzie AstinPhil FondacaroDodger must confront the struggles of life as he is visited by the Garbage Pail Kids and intimidated by some older bullies. The Nostalgia Critic put it all best!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otqf_v1rHYE - DirectorStanley KubrickStarsMalcolm McDowellPatrick MageeMichael BatesIn the future, a sadistic gang leader is imprisoned and volunteers for a conduct-aversion experiment, but it doesn't go as planned. No matter what Hollywood or people say about how "artistic" this film is, it is crude, horrid, hateful, horrendous, really controversial, and just uncomfortable to sit through! I mean, did I see the exact same film that critics are giving such HIGH ratings to!??? Well, that kinda proves how much a fetish Hollywood has for violence, blood, gore, bad language, and filth, doesn't it?
I don't care about the director Kubrick, or the main star of the film, Malcolm McDowell - I just abhor both of them for creating this disaster that also wants to ruin the beautiful art of music to your ears, and just want to give you bad images.
PLUS, how is it supposed to look like a "futuristic" world, when it looks like what it would be the very NEXT year, in 1972!?? - DirectorDavid FincherStarsMorgan FreemanBrad PittKevin SpaceyTwo detectives, a rookie and a veteran, hunt a serial killer who uses the seven deadly sins as his motives.Horrid Hollywood pathetic attempt to twist Scripture, and label all general Christians as "wannabe" serial killers.
In real life, it's the OPPOSITE.
God wants people to be nice to each other and live with each other in harmony, and Christ having paid the price for all sin.
Truly one of the worst overrated films ever! - DirectorFrank DarabontStarsTim RobbinsMorgan FreemanBob GuntonOver the course of several years, two convicts form a friendship, seeking consolation and, eventually, redemption through basic compassion.I seriously don't get why it's considered "the greatest movie of all time" - all I found it to be was rude, crude, and biased, and quite one-dimensional.
I admit I've watched it several times for multiple reasons, but I never came around to liking it. Neither do I like Morgan Freeman swearing.
Though the part I really like is where Andy escapes - that was kinda cool. - DirectorPaul VerhoevenStarsPeter WellerNancy AllenDan O'HerlihyIn a dystopic and crime-ridden Detroit, a terminally wounded cop returns to the force as a powerful cyborg haunted by submerged memories. The re-make is a lot better, cool, appropriate, and genuinely entertaining.
- DirectorStanley KubrickStarsKeir DulleaGary LockwoodWilliam SylvesterAfter uncovering a mysterious artifact buried beneath the Lunar surface, a spacecraft is sent to Jupiter to find its origins: a spacecraft manned by two men and the supercomputer HAL 9000.Long, slow, boring, confusing, nonsensical, uncomfortable to sir though - did this film really have to be 3 hours long?? I admire Kubrick for being Jewish, but he seriously used a lot of his gifted talents the totally wrong for the totally wrong things.
This film also sticks to the religious, unscientific fantasy of Darwinian evolutionism, by thinking this "Monolith" device changes man, etc. I DON'T KNOW!
This film's just creepy & boring.
PS: Want a better "space" film??? Just watch Star Wars - DirectorWilliam FriedkinStarsEllen BurstynMax von SydowLinda BlairWhen a young girl is possessed by a mysterious entity, her mother seeks the help of two Catholic priests to save her life.
- 19641h 35mPG8.4 (519K)97MetascoreDirectorStanley KubrickStarsPeter SellersGeorge C. ScottSterling HaydenAn unhinged American general orders a bombing attack on the Soviet Union, triggering a path to nuclear holocaust that a war room full of politicians and generals frantically tries to stop. The worst movie to be ever dabbed "comedy"; Peter Sellers even stars with the world's stupidest accent, and is one of the many stinkers to be released by the infamous Stanley Kubrick.
And "Rocketman" is much funnier & engaging. - DirectorPeter FarrellyBobby FarrellyStarsJim CarreyJeff DanielsLauren HollyAfter a woman leaves a briefcase at the airport terminal, a dumb limo driver and his dumber friend set out on a hilarious cross-country road trip to Aspen to return it.Astoundingly dumb film! Weird, cringe-worthy, and nonsensical!
Jim Carrey's better in "the Grinch".
Jeff Daniel's better in "101 Dalmatians".
And "Rocketman"'s all-round funnier! - DirectorMartin ScorseseStarsRobert De NiroJodie FosterCybill ShepherdA mentally unstable veteran works as a nighttime taxi driver in New York City, where the perceived decadence and sleaze fuels his urge for violent action.I like Robert De Niro. I'm not a big fan, but I just hate the films where he has to play such violent, mean, and unlikable characters.
- DirectorTim BurtonStarsJohnny DeppWinona RyderDianne WiestThe solitary life of an artificial man - who was incompletely constructed and has scissors for hands - is upended when he is taken in by a suburban family.Man does the hype around this flick annoy me; the supposed "sadness" it enforces on us is annoying; and I HATE how biased Tim Burton is toward Christian people. Understand, Christians aren't people who are "good" - they are just people who've been forgiven.
True Christianity teaches love & forgiveness & acceptance. - DirectorDanny BoyleStarsEwan McGregorEwen BremnerJonny Lee MillerRenton, deeply immersed in the Edinburgh drug scene, tries to clean up and get out despite the allure of drugs and the influence of friends.Almost the worst Ewan McGregor flick i've ever seen.
I also really get ticked off by films that try to make drugs look like a "good" thing. - DirectorGuillermo del ToroStarsIvana BaqueroAriadna GilSergi LópezIn the Falangist Spain of 1944, the bookish young stepdaughter of a sadistic army officer escapes into an eerie but captivating fantasy world.Pretentious WASTE of time! Depressing & nihilistic film! How deadly dull & deadly stupid! Talk about pointless, disappointing & uncomfortable to sit through! NOT as good the possible rigged ratings would have you believe.
I honestly thought Peter Pan was going to show up somehow, be he didn't. Talk about false advertising through just the title. Recycled cliche's in plodding story line, with a terrible misfire.
Characters are just stereotypes.
Boring good guys, disgusting bad guys, impotent fantasy creatures, lovingly rendered torture effects. - DirectorDaniel MyrickEduardo SánchezStarsHeather DonahueMichael C. WilliamsJoshua LeonardThree film students vanish after traveling into a Maryland forest to film a documentary on the local Blair Witch legend, leaving only their footage behind.GAH, I don't care if it "revolutionized" the "found footage" movie genre - I didn't care one iota for any of these stupid, I repeat, STUPID character!
They also don't even end up showing the "blair witch", so I guess the title was pretty much pointless.
And I'll NEVER understand why this film is liked by others - they've either psychological damaged or mediocrity in film taste!
Want my advice on a much better "found footage" movie?
Watch "Chronicle"! - DirectorWes CravenStarsHeather LangenkampJohnny DeppRobert EnglundTeenager Nancy Thompson must uncover the dark truth concealed by her parents after she and her friends become targets of the spirit of a serial killer with a bladed glove in their dreams, in which if they die, it kills them in real life.
- DirectorGil JungerStarsHeath LedgerJulia StilesJoseph Gordon-LevittA high-school boy, Cameron, cannot date Bianca until her anti-social older sister, Kat, has a boyfriend. So, Cameron pays a mysterious boy, Patrick, to charm Kat.Yeah, I know good ol' Heath is in this movie, but I found Joseph Gordon-Levitt was also in this mess, and I just really liked him in "Angels In The Outfield".
- DirectorJoel CoenEthan CoenStarsJeff BridgesJohn GoodmanJulianne MooreJeff "The Dude" Lebowski, mistaken for a millionaire of the same name, seeks restitution for his ruined rug and enlists his bowling buddies to help get it."Rocketman"'s funnier!
- DirectorTony KayeStarsEdward NortonEdward FurlongBeverly D'AngeloLiving a life marked by violence, neo-Nazi Derek finally goes to prison after killing two black youths. Upon his release, Derek vows to change; he hopes to prevent his brother, Danny, who idolizes Derek, from following in his footsteps. What kind of person (who was clearly high) decided to make this pathetic pile of garbage?
I like Edward Norton, think he has a great amount of talent, and I think should just be put in more good films. - DirectorTom ShadyacStarsJim CarreyCourteney CoxSean YoungA goofy detective specializing in animals goes in search of the missing mascot of the Miami Dolphins.Harland Williams in "Rocketman"'s funnier. Jim Carrey's way overrated, and tries to hard to be "funny."
"The Mask", I guess, was the only "good" Jim Carrey film to come out in 1994.
I was sorely disappointed with this movie - it ends up using TOO much inappropriate humour that especially isn't funny. - DirectorKenny OrtegaStarsBette MidlerSarah Jessica ParkerKathy NajimyA teenage boy named Max and his little sister move to Salem, where he struggles to fit in before awakening a trio of diabolical witches that were executed in the 17th century.IMO, this shouldn't be called a "Disney" film.
- DirectorSteven SpielbergStarsTom HanksMatt DamonTom SizemoreFollowing the Normandy Landings, a group of U.S. soldiers go behind enemy lines to retrieve a paratrooper whose brothers have been killed in action.Because I'm not a fan of of hardcore violence no profanity, especially if Tom hanks is saying it. And I hate someone on screen who kills people while quoting Bible verses - that's just straight-up biased & fictitious!
- DirectorRobert ZemeckisStarsMichael J. FoxChristopher LloydLea ThompsonMarty McFly, a 17-year-old high school student, is accidentally sent 30 years into the past in a time-traveling DeLorean invented by his close friend, the maverick scientist Doc Brown.Cool idea, but poorly executed, in my opinion.
The story was interesting, but all the swearing, blasphemy, and immorality, left & right, really almost pulled me out of the film, that I almost didn't care for the main protagonist, Marty McFly, if he died or not. - DirectorJeremiah S. ChechikStarsChevy ChaseBeverly D'AngeloJuliette LewisThe Griswold family's plans for a big family Christmas predictably turn into a big disaster.
- DirectorM. Night ShyamalanStarsBruce WillisHaley Joel OsmentToni ColletteMalcolm Crowe, a child psychologist, starts treating a young boy, Cole, who encounters dead people and convinces him to help them. In turn, Cole helps Malcolm reconcile with his estranged wife.M. Night Shyamalan's movie get dumped on... EXCEPT THIS!??
I just found it horribly uncomfortable & especially annoying to watch! - DirectorStanley KubrickStarsTom CruiseNicole KidmanTodd FieldA Manhattan doctor embarks on a bizarre, night-long odyssey after his wife's admission of unfulfilled longing.Never seen it, never will.
Kubrick with his god-awful movies always comes across as a serial killer-turned-director with his taste & vision of films.
Sadly Jewish - DirectorBrian De PalmaStarsAl PacinoMichelle PfeifferSteven BauerIn 1980 Miami, a determined Cuban immigrant takes over a drug cartel and succumbs to greed. Why does Al Pacino always like playing "mean" characters?
- DirectorTerry GilliamStarsJeff BridgesRobin WilliamsAdam BryantA former radio DJ, suicidally despondent because of a terrible mistake he made, finds redemption in helping a deranged homeless man who was an unwitting victim of that mistake.Completely weird, crone-worthy, and ridiculous to sit through - and I really don't like seeing Robin Williams strip naked and dance around!
- DirectorDavid FincherStarsBrad PittEdward NortonMeat LoafAn insomniac office worker and a devil-may-care soap maker form an underground fight club that evolves into much more.Though Edward Norton is an upside to it.
(Seriously, get him to play Walt Disney in a biographical film!) - DirectorJames CameronStarsLeonardo DiCaprioKate WinsletBilly ZaneA seventeen-year-old aristocrat falls in love with a kind but poor artist aboard the luxurious, ill-fated R.M.S. Titanic.A film about forced romances, adultery, biased black & white concepts, bias towards believers, and a complete WASTE of money in making a complete Titanic replica.
- DirectorJohn HughesStarsEmilio EstevezJudd NelsonMolly RingwaldFive high school students meet in Saturday detention and discover how they have a great deal more in common than they thought. All these characters are brats, and I got sick of each one of them.
- DirectorRidley ScottStarsSigourney WeaverTom SkerrittJohn HurtThe crew of a commercial spacecraft encounters a deadly lifeform after investigating a mysterious transmission of unknown origin.
- DirectorRon HowardStarsTom HanksAudrey TautouJean RenoA murder inside the Louvre, and clues in Da Vinci paintings, lead to the discovery of a religious mystery protected by a secret society for two thousand years, which could shake the foundations of Christianity.A pathetic attempt at REWRITING history, based upon horrendous fiction from a narrow-minded writer who claims he's a "Christian", and sadly brings in a whole ensemble cast of big Hollywood names who attempts to "prove" the Bible is wrong, and Jesus got married, etc.; NO WAY! The evidence says otherwise!
My advice, just YouTube search "Kent Hovind" - he offers way more insight & information than any of these *beep* can!
PS: Why Opie?? WHY did you have to direct this film!??? - DirectorJames CameronStarsSigourney WeaverMichael BiehnCarrie HennDecades after surviving the Nostromo incident, Ellen Ripley is sent out to re-establish contact with a terraforming colony but finds herself battling the Alien Queen and her offspring.
- DirectorJonathan DemmeStarsJodie FosterAnthony HopkinsScott GlennA young F.B.I. cadet must receive the help of an incarcerated and manipulative cannibal killer to help catch another serial killer, a madman who skins his victims.Overrated pile of worthless NOTHING, this horror film was just entirely too inappropriate & too nonsensical.
Even brings in great acting giant Anthony Hopkins in, who I loved in "The Mask of Zorror", where he played an older mentor, which is all the more appropriate for him. - DirectorBob ClarkStarsPeter BillingsleyMelinda DillonDarren McGavinIn the 1940s, a young boy named Ralphie Parker attempts to convince his parents, teacher, and Santa Claus that a Red Ryder Range 200 Shot BB gun really is the perfect Christmas gift.Stupid thing after stupid after stupid thing... though the bully getting beat up was the good part.
But all-round a bad influence, weird characters, is against everything Christmas is about, and even manages to get the issue of using the F-word in there!! - DirectorRichard DonnerStarsMel GibsonDanny GloverGary BuseyTwo newly paired cops who are complete opposites must put aside their differences in order to catch a gang of drug smugglers.
- DirectorMichael CiminoStarsRobert De NiroChristopher WalkenJohn CazaleAn in-depth examination of the ways in which the Vietnam War impacts and disrupts the lives of several friends in a small steel mill town in Pennsylvania.I know it's meant to show us the "harshness of reality" with the Vietnam War, but TOO MUCH cursing, violence, and and almost devoid of any morals. This flick left me feeling empty.
I like Christopher Walken. I like Robert De Niro. I just don't like this movie. - DirectorBrian De PalmaStarsKevin CostnerSean ConneryRobert De NiroDuring Prohibition, Treasury agent Eliot Ness sets out to stop ruthless Chicago gangster Al Capone, and assembles a small, incorruptible team to help him."The INtouchables" is a much better film; it's a French comedy. Check it out.

- DirectorTerry GilliamTerry JonesStarsGraham ChapmanJohn CleeseEric IdleKing Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table embark on a surreal, low-budget search for the Holy Grail, encountering many, very silly obstacles.
- DirectorMartin ScorseseStarsRobert De NiroCathy MoriartyJoe PesciThe life of boxer Jake LaMotta, whose violence and temper that led him to the top in the ring destroyed his life outside of it.
- DirectorFranklin J. SchaffnerStarsCharlton HestonRoddy McDowallKim HunterAn astronaut crew crash-lands on a planet where highly intelligent non-human ape species are dominant and humans are enslaved.Beginning a whole career of mistakes for Charlton Heston in film.

- DirectorMartin ScorseseStarsRobert De NiroRay LiottaJoe PesciThe story of Henry Hill and his life in the mafia, covering his relationship with his wife Karen and his mob partners Jimmy Conway and Tommy DeVito.I still consider Matin Scorsese to be one of the most corrupt, crude, & confusing directors in Hollywood! I just find him horribly overrated, especially with his usage of Leonardo DiCaprio in films.
- DirectorYasujirô OzuStarsGanjirô NakamuraMachiko KyôHaruko SugimuraThe head of a Japanese theatre troupe returns to a small coastal town where he left a son who thinks he is his uncle, and tries to make up for the lost time, but his current mistress grows jealous.I seriously don't really care if this was one of Roger Ebert's all-time favorite movies.
"Shiokari Pass" is a better story, and a TRUE one! - DirectorRobert ZemeckisStarsJodie FosterMatthew McConaugheyTom SkerrittDr. Ellie Arroway, after years of searching, finds conclusive radio proof of extraterrestrial intelligence, sending plans for a mysterious machine.Biased. Just outright biased. I'm not a fan of Jodi Foster nor Jena Malone.
This is biased against believers & God.
Except for Matthew Mcconaughey - he was alright. - DirectorFrank DarabontStarsTom HanksMichael Clarke DuncanDavid MorseA tale set on death row, where gentle giant John Coffey possesses the mysterious power to heal people's ailments. When the lead guard, Paul Edgecombe, recognizes John's gift, he tries to help stave off the condemned man's execution.Yes. I thought this was more WEIRD, than saddening.
- DirectorJim AbrahamsDavid ZuckerJerry ZuckerStarsRobert HaysJulie HagertyLeslie NielsenAfter the crew becomes sick with food poisoning, a neurotic ex-fighter pilot must safely land a commercial airplane full of passengers. This film was NEVER funny to me - and it should be rated R or even PG-13 instead of PG!
Not is their bad language, crude humour, or inappropriate humour - a NAKED WOMAN dances in front of the camera for a brief few seconds.
"RocketMan" is a much better comedy - "Airplane" is just dated - DirectorBryan SingerStarsKevin SpaceyGabriel ByrneChazz PalminteriThe sole survivor of a pier shoot-out tells the story of how a notorious criminal influenced the events that began with five criminals meeting in a seemingly random police lineup.Garbage!
- DirectorCarroll BallardStarsCharles Martin SmithBrian DennehyZachary IttimangnaqA government researcher, sent to research the "menace" of wolves in the north, learns about the true beneficial and positive nature of the species.Should NOT be called a "Disney" movie - a character you don't care about does something you don't care about - he runs around naked in parts, makes you feel stupid & uncomfortable.
I don't get at all why some people like this.
Plus, the "PG" RATING IS A JOKE!!! - DirectorTim BurtonStarsMichael KeatonJack NicholsonKim BasingerThe Dark Knight of Gotham City begins his war on crime with his first major enemy being Jack Napier, a criminal who becomes the clownishly homicidal Joker.Everything about the hype about this movie seems completely fueled by nostalgia...
I thought it was all one-dimensional, generic, colorful at times, but boring, and quite silly.
Who knows! Maybe a lot of people know something I don't know, but I never thought Keaton looked right in the Batman outfit.
Jack "the greatest actor in the world" Nicholson was just stupid & annoying as the Joker.
That's why in a lot of regards I have to say "the Dark Knight" is better in terms of story, design, and action.
While Keaton was able to play the reserved character of Batman (keeping all the pain inside), Bale was able to be more along the lines of the physical. I believe Ben Affleck will have the ability to combine the two together to become the ultimate Batman! - DirectorMary HarronStarsChristian BaleJustin TherouxJosh LucasA wealthy New York City investment banking executive, Patrick Bateman, hides his alternate psychopathic ego from his co-workers and friends as he delves deeper into his violent, hedonistic fantasies.
- DirectorHoward ZieffStarsAnna ChlumskyMacaulay CulkinDan AykroydVada is obsessed with death. Her mother is dead, and her father runs a funeral parlor. When Vada's father hires Shelly, a makeup expert, and begins to fall in love, Vada is outraged and does everything in her power to split them up.It didn't make me cry; "Kevin" was turned into a really bland character, the girl was weird & annoying, this film is offensive to church-goers, and it includes the open coffin!
Real funerals don't happen like that, with an "open coffin" in a real Christian church. I know my neighborhood. - DirectorTodd PhillipsStarsBreckin MeyerSeann William ScottAmy SmartFour college buddies embark on a road trip to retrieve an illicit tape mistakenly mailed to a female friend.More like "JOKE Trip". A Worthless sack of NOTHING!
- DirectorJohn HughesStarsMatthew BroderickAlan RuckMia SaraA popular high school student, admired by his peers, decides to take a day off from school and goes to extreme lengths to pull it off, to the chagrin of his Dean, who'll do anything to stop him.
- DirectorJoseph RubenStarsMacaulay CulkinElijah WoodWendy CrewsonA young boy stays with his aunt and uncle and becomes friends with his cousin, a boy of the same age who shows increasing signs of violent and psychopathic behavior.I bet the director got bullied in school, so this was his way of showing how they're "inherently evil, and become eventual psychopaths".
I wish Culkin wasn't the one to be chosen for this stupid, harsh, incoherent MESS! - DirectorRob ReinerStarsTom CruiseJack NicholsonDemi MooreMilitary lawyer Lieutenant Daniel Kaffee defends Marines accused of murder. They contend they were acting under orders.I only think the "opening choreography" was the only good thing about the film.
The rest was just biased finger-pointing, shouting, and swearing. I know Rob Reiner can do better than that; just look at "The Princess Bride." - DirectorKevin SmithStarsBen AffleckMatt DamonLinda FiorentinoAn abortion clinic worker with a special heritage is called upon to save the existence of humanity from being negated by two renegade angels trying to exploit a loop-hole and reenter Heaven.Somebody PLEASE fire Kevin Smith!!
- DirectorStephen HerekStarsEmilio EstevezJoss AcklandLane SmithA self-centered Minnesota lawyer is sentenced to community service coaching a rag tag youth hockey team.I'll make this as plain as day - I DON'T LIKE HOCKEY.
If you do like hockey, wonderful. More power to ya.
But I do believe there're BETTER sports movies out there, especially from Disney; whether it be "The Big Green", "Angels In the Outfield" or "Iron Will." - DirectorMartin ScorseseStarsLeonardo DiCaprioMatt DamonJack NicholsonAn undercover cop and a mole in the police attempt to identify each other while infiltrating an Irish gang in South Boston.I have, and always will be an intense & passionate HATER of Scorsese/DiCaprio movies!
A much MUCH better film than this worth-mentioning was Mel Gibson's "Apocalypto" which came out the same year. - DirectorHoward DeutchStarsMolly RingwaldJon CryerHarry Dean StantonA poor girl must choose between the affections of dating her childhood sweetheart or a rich but sensitive playboy. The main girl character in the film is a BRAT, and I didn't care about her, and I'm glad "Ducky" was attracted to another girl at the end. I simply don't like watching movies that contain homosexuality. - DirectorClint EastwoodStarsClint EastwoodBee VangChristopher CarleyAfter a Hmong teenager tries to steal his prized 1972 Gran Torino, a disgruntled, prejudiced Korean War veteran seeks to redeem both the boy and himself.I liked it for Eastwood's character; the rest was just garbage. Everything was so far removed from reality.
- StarsRichard ThomasTim ReidAnnette O'TooleIn 1960, seven pre-teen outcasts fight an evil demon who poses as a child-killing clown. Thirty years later, they reunite to stop the demon once and for all when it returns to their hometown. Not a fan of Stephen King or his work or his movies; I don't care if they're "not faithful" - they're horrendous, weird, confusing, horrific, and just uncomfortable to sit through!!
- DirectorSteven SpielbergStarsLeonardo DiCaprioTom HanksChristopher WalkenBarely 17 yet, Frank is a skilled forger who has passed as a doctor, lawyer and pilot. FBI agent Carl becomes obsessed with tracking down the con man, who only revels in the pursuit.Again, I don't like Leonardo DiCaprio. His acting is atrocious, amateur, and annoying! And WHAT was with all that coughing!!???
WHY did Tom Hanks have to be pulled into this too?? - DirectorStanley DonenStarsCary GrantAudrey HepburnWalter MatthauRomance and suspense ensue in Paris as a woman is pursued by several men who want a fortune her murdered husband had stolen. Whom can she trust?Wanna see a *better* Audrey Hepburn movie?? Go watch "How To Steal A Million" or "My Fair Lady."

- DirectorRobert WiseStarsJulie HarrisClaire BloomRichard JohnsonHill House has stood for about 90 years and appears haunted: its inhabitants have always met strange, tragic ends. Now Dr. John Markway has assembled a team of people who he thinks will prove whether or not the house is haunted.I've loved the director's other films, like "Sound of Music" & "The Day The Earth Stood Still," but this film is just way too dark for the time, and IMO, for anybody.
- DirectorRichard DonnerStarsMel GibsonDanny GloverJoe PesciRiggs and Murtaugh are on the trail of South African diplomats who are using their immunity to engage in criminal activities.
- DirectorPhil Alden RobinsonStarsKevin CostnerJames Earl JonesRay LiottaIowa farmer Ray Kinsella is inspired by a voice he can't ignore to pursue a dream he can hardly believe. Supported by his wife, Ray begins the quest by turning his ordinary cornfield into a place where dreams can come true.I'm not gonna POO POO on this film, I mean, I know it's got a lot of heart & it was even nominated for "Best Picture" of 1989. But I'm just saying it seemed quite over hyped to me by an American friend of mine.
This film seems all interested in the spiritual realm, and such, but everyone seems kind of weird & a bit insecure, and just so easily resolves to swearing & using the Lord's name in vain.

What interested me was that it was the "highest-grossing NC-17-rated film."
But that didn't stop me for checking out this circus show of absolute GARBAGE. - DirectorYasujirô OzuStarsChishû RyûChieko HigashiyamaSô YamamuraAn old couple visit their children and grandchildren in the city, but receive little attention.Had SO much build up, but little pay off. Overall boring! And has an occultic funeral at the end, which I despise.
"Shiokari Pass" is a better story - DirectorTom ShadyacStarsJim CarreyMaura TierneyAmanda DonohoeA pathological liar-lawyer finds his career turned upside down when he inexplicably cannot physically lie for 24 whole hours.I will admit I did chuckle a few times when I recently viewed this...
...but it's just one of Jim Carrey's dumber films and really inappropriate at times, I'm just finding myself adding it to this list.
