Alain Moussi shares with IMDbPro his best advice for aspiring actors, lessons learned on the set of Jiu Jitsu, and more.5 of 6
IMDbPro: What has playing Jake on Jiu Jitsu taught you as an actor?
Alain Moussi: Playing Jake, the main thing you learn is how to listen. Sometimes as a rookie actor you are kind of aware of your next line, instead of just being present and listening to what’s going on. I had the opportunity to work with incredible actors such as Nicolas Cage, Frank Grillo, and Marie Avgeropoulos on this film. The way they perform they affect you so much, you can’t help but listen all the time. That’s what I love in terms of acting as Jake is how you listen actively and use the listening to create your performance which I will take with me into my next film.
