Skyler Shaye talks with IMDbPro about earning her first credit, advice for aspiring actors, and the possibility of a JL Family Ranch TV show.3 of 6
IMDbPro: Do you check out IMDbPro before an audition? Any fun audition stories?
Skyler Shaye: Of course! When I would get the breakdown of the TV show or movie I would audition for at the time, I would research the director and their other credits to get an idea of their work, which always helped with my auditions. I remember when I was 14 years old and auditioned for the CBS sitcom 'The Daniel Stern Show', and I was to play Daniel Stern’s daughter. Well, when I went to introduce myself and shake hands, I accidentally crossed my arms into an awkward pretzel across the table. It ended up being hysterical—and I got the callback.
