- StarsMatthew McConaugheyNate GolonRalph FontaineThe definite biography told by the man who lived it himself, Evel Knievel. The undisputed King of the Daredevils. The Last Gladiator. His exploits are legendary and it's unlikely his accomplishments or notoriety will ever be duplicated. He was a self-made sports superstar whose only competitor was Death. And it was a foe he faced regularly throughout his life. No one, including Evel, ever believed he would live to old age. But Knievel has never been a man who did what was expected. Today, as he enters the twilight of his life, he is paying a high price for the life he led. Blood transfusions from his many near death injuries left him with Hepatitis C. In 1999 he had a liver transplant to ward off death once again. While still outspoken and controversial, his health has been fragile since this surgery. Although he is only 66 years old, today he lives in pain from the incredible abuse his body suffered during his days as a daredevil. No one can say for certain just how much longer he can keep death at bay. This interview and documentary may very well be his last chance at a public forum, a final opportunity to set the record straight and share the philosophies that have guided his life. The documentary takes a non-traditional approach as the producers let Evel tell his story himself. With the exception of his son, Robby Knievel, this is a very rare and candid first hand account coming from the man who lived the legend. Evel is extremely candid about his exploits, his loves, his legend and the philosophies that have guided his life. The documentary is also a showcase for never before seen footage of his life and exploits making it, perhaps one of the best documentaries on Evel Knievel.

- DirectorBrian GilbertStarsMary KennyHeather IandoloJames ClarkeOn a bitterly cold morning in January 1946, an Irishman whose voice was as well known as Churchill's, was hanged in England's grim Wandsworth gaol. It was always inconceivable that William Joyce, known to millions as 'Lord Haw-Haw', would escape the death penalty. However, just as with Roger Casement a generation earlier, it took considerable legal ingenuity on the part of the British establishment to ensure that Joyce was hanged. Lord Haw-Haw was the classic traitor. Broadcasting to millions from Nazi Germany, he played a part in sapping the collective spirit of wartime Britain. A grotesque figure, laughed at but secretly feared, his psychological defiance was mythologised by prolonged wartime anxiety. Hitler's Irishman: The Story of Lord Haw-Haw is a documentary by noted British feature film director, Brian Gilbert, for whom the story of William Joyce has been a lifelong obsession. In all Gilbert's work (e.g. 'Wilde', 'Tom and Viv', 'Not Without My Daughter'), he has sought to peel away the layers of complex characters and reveal the dark heart of fanaticism, self-invention and attachment to ideals at all cost. Hitler's Irishman: The story of Lord Haw-Haw is a creative documentary portrait of the compulsive and complex Irishman who recreated himself in a romantic and imagined ideal of Englishness, which he took to a monstrous and fanatical degree that would ultimately lead to his own undoing. Fascist thug? Irish intellectual? British traitor? German hero? Who, in fact, was the real William Joyce?

- DirectorRoberto GrecoStarsPiera Degli EspostiAndrea SasdelliFour men are sitting at a table playing cards. A fifth man is watching, sitting next to them. As the game is livening up, one of them starts the so called "memory carousel". Twenty five years have passed since the bomb explosion at Bologna railway station. The men talk the local dialect and keep playing. They recall the memory of Piera Degli Esposti: she's talking about her station, her emotions, her expectations... So the trip begins, through the memories of sixty men and women. A trip that begins on that morning, around six, when the town is waking up, in the torpor of a hot Italian Saturday, the first Saturday of August. And then the bomb. Human lives are broken, destroyed, changed.... saved. We relive those moments, through the narration of the ones who were involuntary protagonists in a solidarity machine set in motion in Bologna on that day: in front of the railway station, in the hospitals, in the long queues where people are waiting to donate blood, in the special support offices set up by the Town Council, on the buses that are carrying corpses to the legal medicine centers. Just as in a Greek choir, the protagonists of that day are reciting their stories and offering their memories, animating the spirit that was leading them through that day.

- DirectorEllen ZweigHEAP , is a series of videos that explore the cultural encounters that are the result of travel, and portray China through Western eyes. Created over a period of several years, each of the evocative videos in HEAP presents an experimental portrait of a thinker influenced by Chinese culture....The six videos that so far comprise HEAP question our interactions with other cultures, our motivations, expectations, and experiences. They explore the gestures of daily life that link identity to place and culture, and the ways in which language, in its physical, visual, aural, and communicative characters, is the primary medium through which we might understand, or misunderstand, one another.
