Un-PC old-timey cartoons
We're slowly, quietly watching animation history get scrubbed clean of anything that offends 2020's sensibilities- Mostly through any cartoon which portrays anyone non-white being pulled from tv circulation, omitted from re-release dvds and online playlists, and generally treated like they don't exist.
Ironically, thus push for censorship (largely coming from the white upper/middle-class) is effectively erasing black characters, black influence, and any portrayal of black culture, from pre-WW2 animation; Shorts like 'Coal Black' (one of the first cartoon to get scrubbed from circulation, for use of racial stereotypes... but also widely praised as some of the best animation of the 20th century) were a relatively rare example black musicians, black characters, and black culture being central in a story on the big screen. Some of the Fleischer shorts featuring jazz icon Louis Armstrong featured similar racial stereotypes, that would never fly in 2020... but they were also a historic portrayal of black musicians to a mainstream audience; And one that's largely being white-washed out of animation history, in order to protect the sensibilities of middle-class whites, who are offended by the realities of the early 20th century...
