DC Comic soldier of fortune, Slade Wildon aka Deathstroke had slumbered for two decades until Bennett reprised the role on the CW series Arrow. Many DC fans declared Bennett as the best villain on the hit series when he established a heartfelt dominant core relationship with Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell). The two befriended upon the Island of Lian Yu before an incident with a super-drug called Mirakuru transformed Slade into the archetypal good guy/bad guy Deathstroke. Originally penned by Marv Wolfman & illustrated by George Perez, Deathstroke has now become a hot property for the DC Universe with Tony Daniels illustrating the new series of Deathstroke comic books & a Warner Bros Deathstroke feature film pending. When MTV shifted their focus toward producing original series they selected Bennett to portray the Dark Druid Allanon in the newly acquired Shannara Chronicles Series. Bennett had just the right mix of stoicism, angst & dramatic suave sought by the Shannara producers & author Terry Brooks. Manu Bennett is of Maori, Scottish, English, French & Finish ancestry. Bennett was born in Auckland, New Zealand. Bennett's great grandfather Frederick Augustus Bennett was the first Maori Bishop of the Anglican Church in New Zealand. The Bennett name has roots dating back to a French Benedictine Monastery established in Northumbria in Northern England circa 500AD. The monastery was subsequently turned into a defensive fort named Chillingham Castle. With the advent of surnames circa 1000AD, the name Bennett was derived from Benedictine.
Manu Bennett's father Charles Edward Tiwha (Ted) Bennett was a popular New Zealand singer who recorded a No.1 hit "Clap Your Hands" & several other hits in the early 1960's. Bennett's mother Jean Clark was a bikini model from Australia who paraded the very first two piece bikini for designer Paula Stafford. Of course with his training, talent and experience, Sears didn't need to be at all like his character, but there is a nice connection between Woolsley, the scion of a wealthy legal dynasty who turns renegade to become a legal defender, and Sears, literally the descendant of Plymouth Rock pilgrims, who left the business world to become an actor.
Growing up in Chevy Chase, Maryland, Teddy Sears was a great student and an even better athlete. Great-grandson of a 1912 Olympic gold-medalist (shooting) and nephew of an aunt who brought home a bronze in the 100 meter butterfly from the 1956 Melbourne games, he followed that tradition of excellence with state and national recognition in high school football and swimming and played varsity football for the University of Maryland. He graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in business management before discovering his true calling and following its voice to New York and the beginning of his acting career. There he studied with acclaimed coach William Esper, worked tirelessly in the crucible of daytime drama, and landed guest-star roles in series like Law & Order (1990).
He showed his comedy chops in bits on The David Letterman Show (1980) and Late Night with Conan O'Brien (1993), and then moved to Los Angeles, where he worked steadily in film and as a guest star in both television drama and comedy prior to joining the cast of Steven Bochco's Raising the Bar (2008) which enjoyed a two year run on TNT. He can also be seen in the recently released feature A Single Man (2009), starring Colin Firth and Julianne Moore. Sears now makes his home in a beach community south of Los Angeles, where he uses his few spare hours surfing and training for triathlons.Zoom - The Flash Season 2 - Actor

Neil Sandilands recently starred in Netflix's hit sci-fi/fantasy drama series "Sweet Tooth." Sandilands shines as General Abbot, a self-appointed general who leads through wit, intimidation, and quirkiness and received an Emmy nomination (2023) for his performance.
Recent film titles include "Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes" (2024), "London Calling" (2023), "Slay" (2023), "Wetiko" (2022) and Academy Nominated "News of the World" (2020) directed by Paul Greengrass. Sandilands stars as Wilhelm Leonberger opposite Tom Hanks.
A master of disguise, Sandilands starred as super villain Clifford Devoe/The Thinker on The CW's hit show "The Flash." Additional television credits include the contentious, mythological character Titus in "The 100" for The CW, AMC/Sundance TV's "Hap and Leonard" (opposite James Purefoy, Michael K. Williams, Christina Hendricks), "House MD," "The Americans" and "NCIS: LA." The list is long as he started his professional career as a child star in 1989.
Born in the mining town of Randfontein, South Africa, Sandilands is arguably one of the country's most versatile actors, bringing characters to life in film and television for over three decades. He started his professional acting career at age fourteen. Sandilands is the eldest of three children, his father worked as a mining professional and his mother as a primary school teacher. He attended boarding school in neighboring town, Krugersdorp, and with the help of an encouraging teacher booked his first television acting gig in "Meester" (The Master) in 1989.
Sandilands received his bachelor's degree in Social Sciences from the Rand Afrikaans University (1996). He also received an honorary award for his contribution to Arts & Culture from the University, having won its Theatre Festival three years consecutively, with plays that he had written and starred in. He also initiated an International Film Festival.
July 2022 saw Neil Sandilands being nominated as best supporting actor by the South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTA) for his work in DAM (Showmax) as well as a South African Music Award (SAMA) for best adult contemporary Afrikaans album for his debut album "Sangoma Sandilands & Jou Pa se Posse - Maanskyn". The music of this album also featured as the soundtrack for M-Net Originals 2022 hit show "Desert Rose" in which Sandilands portrays the troubled patriarch "Freddy Fingers". Sandilands sports local South African Nr1 Radio positions for his Afrikaans tracks "Woestynroos" and "Huistoe".
By 2000 Sandilands was a household name in South Africa. He is well known for his portrayal of "Bart Kruger" in the South African soap opera "7de Laan." However, Sandilands had his sights on an international career, and has made the transition seamlessly. Sandilands crossed the international divide in 2003 with the arthouse film "Proteus" by Canadian director John Greyson. While Sandilands can be seen appearing in projects with a global reach, he still works often in South Africa where he performs in his native tongue, Afrikaans (English is his second language).
As a musician Sandilands released two full length albums and two EP's. His debut album "Sangoma Sandilands & Jou Pa se Posse - Maanskyn" (2021), in his native tongue, Afrikaans, leaped to Number 1 on iTunes South Africa's charts in 24 hours. In 2023 he released "Allegaarkie vir 'n Askeet", his second album. Sandilands views his "work" as musician more as an artistic, literary offering to his country of birth and his native tongue, Afrikaans. It remains his hobby. He collaborated with the cream of South African musicians to produce these albums; writing, composing, performing lead vocals and playing the ukulele.
Accolades for Sandilands include being a recipient of the South African Academy of Arts and Sciences award for his directorial work on "Impresario" - a 21-episode documentary. In 2014 he received a Clio, also as a documentary director. As an actor he has received numerous nominations and awards. Notably a "Fleur du Cap" for his work in theatre.
Sandilands played rugby in South Africa, America, England, Wales and Ireland, and regards the South African Rugby World Cup victory in 2023, for the 4th time, a miraculous anomaly. He enjoys fishing and cites his philosophical development as being most influenced by Camus, Wittgenstein, Deleuze and Nietzsche, in reverse order. He would love to portray Nietzsche or the character Meursault from Camus' "L'Étranger".
Sandilands splits his time between South Africa, and Los Angeles, California. He is represented by Stewart Talent and managed by Luber Roklin Entertainment (USA). In South Africa he is represented by Figjam Artists Agency.
Henry Mylne (director) writes: "Vivid, flamboyant (and) thoroughly professional, he doubtlessly brings an electric excitement to both stage and screen that few actors can match." neilsandilands.com @realsandilandsClifford DeVoe - The Flash Season 4- Actor

He lived in Stockholm until the age of 13, when he moved in with his grandparents in Nyland, Ångermanland, Sweden. Despite an early interest in music and the fine arts, Dolph decided to follow in his father's footsteps and pursue an Engineering degree. After having completed his military service, he enrolled at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm.
It was in the military when Dolph first came in contact with the martial arts. Five years later, he had become a world-class competitor in Japanese Karate and was deeply involved with a discipline that was to become an important part of his life. After graduating High School, Dolph spent considerable time studying in the United States and abroad on various academic scholarships. He attended Washington State University and Clemson University in South Carolina. In 1982, he received a scholarship to complete his Masters Degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Sydney, Australia. In 1983, he was awarded a Fulbright scholarship to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Boston, one of the world's top engineering schools.
However, that same year, he decided to move to New York City and take up acting. He changed his forename to Dolph. He started studying drama at the Warren Robertson Theatre Workshop in Manhattan, not knowing how quickly his life was about to change. His film debut came in A View to a Kill (1985). However, it was his performance in Rocky IV (1985) later that year that definitely got him noticed. After a 9-month audition process among 5,000 hopefuls, he was cast opposite writer-director Sylvester Stallone, as his Russian opponent, "Ivan Drago". Following the success of Rocky IV (1985), Lundgren moved to Los Angeles and has since starred in more than 30 feature films.
Lundgren portrayed the classic action-heroic lead in such films as Gary Goddard's Masters of the Universe (1987), Showdown in Little Tokyo (1991) co-starring Brandon Lee and Blackjack (1998), by Hong-Kong action legend, John Woo. Lundgren has also continued to turning in memorable performances as the main adversary to other action-stars, most notably in Universal Soldier (1992) opposite Jean-Claude Van Damme, directed by Roland Emmerich, as well as Robert Longo's Johnny Mnemonic (1995) opposite Keanu Reeves. In February 2004, Lundgren directed his first feature film, the thriller The Defender (2004), in which he also starred. In 2005, he directed and starred in yet another feature, The Russian Specialist (2005) (a.k.a "The Mechanik").
In January 2006, he finished principal photography of The Final Inquiry (2006), a joint Italian/American/Spanish co-production, directed by Giulio Base, appearing opposite, among others, Daniele Liotti, Max von Sydow and F. Murray Abraham. In 2006, Lundgren starred in Diamond Dogs (2007), a Chinese/American co-production filmed on location in Mongolia. In 2007, he directed a modern day western shot in Texas, Missionary Man (2007). In 2009, he completed two new directorial efforts, the action-packed Command Performance (2009), which showcases Lundgren's longtime musical talents as a drummer; and the neo-noir thriller Icarus (2010). Lundgren also reunited with co-stars Jean-Claude Van Damme and Sylvester Stallone for Universal Soldier: Regeneration (2009) and the highly anticipated action blockbuster, The Expendables (2010).
Lundgren managed to not let his Hollywood career stand in the way of his athletic background. He has been awarded his Third Degree Black Belt by the World Karate Organization in Tokyo. His accomplishments include being the Captain of the Swedish National Karate Team, as well as a Champion of the Swedish, European and Australian Heavyweight Division titles. Lundgren still regularly performs Karate exhibitions at international tournaments worldwide. In addition, he was selected by the U.S. Olympic Committee to serve as Team Leader of the 1996 U.S. Olympic Pentathlon Team during the Atlanta Games. He is actively involved in promoting the image of this sport. His production company, Thor Pictures, is developing several projects in which he will produce, star and/or direct. He is also a founding member of "Group of Eight", a New York theater group started in 1994.
Lundgren has reportedly been working on a fitness book and sports wear line for men, the creation and launch of a new eponymous brand, a licensing, media and publishing program, and the development of future entertainment and media projects. Lundgren was married to Anette Qviberg-Lundgren, an interior decorator and fashion designer, until their divorce in 2011. They had two daughters together.Konstantin Kovar - Arrow Season 5 Flashbacks
