And Just Like That season 3 faces setbacks, casting shake-ups, and mixed reviews after an underwhelming season 2. Despite mixed feelings, season 2 provided fan service and closure for key characters, especially Carrie. Carrie's self-focused ending in season 2 leaves viewers questioning if the show should have ended there rather than continue on in season 3.
Despite mixed reviews, And Just Like That..., Max's Sex and the City revival series, was renewed for a third outing ahead of its second season finale. Ahead of filming, And Just Like That season 3 is already experiencing some setbacks — ones that prove the show should have ended. In the And Just Like That season 2 finale, Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) throws a "last supper" for her iconic apartment. Joined by Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon), Charlotte York Goldenblatt (Kristin Davis), and plenty of Ajlt newcomers, Carrie seemingly closes a significant chapter in her life.

Sarah Jessica Parker has become a bit of a fashion icon thanks to her glamorous Sex and the City character Carrie Bradshaw. But she felt it was ill-advised for her to give other women fashion advice for one important reason.
Sarah Jessica Parker believes women are too different to give fashion advice to Sarah Jessica Parker | Gotham/Gc Images
Parker has shown that she can be just as fashionable as Carrie Bradshaw, just in her own way. The actor has lit up the cover of several magazines over the years. She’s even been the head of her own fashion line. Because of these factors, it’s easy to see why some might look toward Parker for a few fashion tips. But the Emmy winner has always been reluctant to give any advice because of how diverse women are.

Actor Winona Ryder met with her frequent collaborator and friend Tim Burton to star in their hit film Beetlejuice. But it took some time before Ryder even realized she was speaking with the director.
Winona Ryder didn’t know that film directors could be like Tim Burton Winona Ryder | Rick Kern/WireImage
Ryder hadn’t done too many movies in the film industry before Beetlejuice. Starting out, she was mostly known for Lucas and Square Dance. But she’d been around the film industry enough to have certain expectations of filmmakers, seeing them as caring but rigid authority figures.
But this was until Ryder met with director Tim Burton, who showed her a different type of filmmaker. In an interview with Collider, she recalled meeting someone in a building while waiting for Burton to show up. And and her newfound acquaintance would have a conversation, with Ryder completely unaware who this person really was.

Exclusive: A fan-favorite character is leaving And Just Like That… Karen Pittman, who played Nya Wallace in the first two seasons of the Sex and the City sequel, will not be returning for the upcoming third season of the hit Max series.
Pittman was already a series regular on Apple TV+’s The Morning Show when she was cast in And Just Like That…, originally as a recurring in Season 1; she was upped to a series regular in Season 2. Earlier this month, she also was tapped for a starring role in Forever, Netflix’s upcoming drama series reimagining Judy Blume’s novel from Mara Brock Akil.
This put Pittman in the middle of a scheduling conundrum involving three high-profile series on three major streamers filming new seasons this year within similar timeframes.
According to sources, there was every intention for Pittman to be in Season 3 of Ajlt, and Nya was written into the scripts.

For those of us who religiously watch “Sex and the City” on whatever platform it is currently streaming on (hi), April 1 is an exciting day. The ‘90s was an incredible decade for TV shows. That’s evidenced by the fact that so many shows from that 10-year period have been rebooted in some fashion. Some of the reboots lasted longer than others, but they all reminded viewers of what made the original shows so special to begin with.
Whether it’s for nostalgia to see the same characters return after several decades, or to introduce a new generation of viewers to characters and concepts their parents and grandparents loved, ‘90s reboot shows are on the rise. A few were short-lived, like Murphy Brown and Saved by the Bell. But others had pretty good runs, some of which are still going or just recently premiered.

Sarah Jessica Parker was appointed Unicef Ambassador in 1997 and has since shown her support in a variety of ways, most notably as a dedicated supporter of Trick-or-Treat for Unicef, where she served as the national spokesperson in 1998, 2003 and 2006.
Stemming from her experience Trick-or-Treating for Unicef as a child, Sarah Jessica has remained an active supporter of the campaign, most recently donating a signed bathrobe to the 60th Anniversary of Trick-or-Treat for Unicef Charity Buzz auction—which helped contribute to the $11,620 raised from the auction for the campaign.

Matthew Broderick is a true star of stage, screen and television who first came to moviegoers’ attention over four decades ago in the thriller “WarGames.” He then triumphed in comedies, dramas and musicals both on stage and in film. Add to that his long-term marriage to Sarah Jessica Parker, and there’s a lot for him to celebrate.
For his stage work, Broderick has won two Tony Awards (as Best Featured Actor for 1983’s “Brighton Beach Memoirs” and as Best Actor for the 1995 revival of the musical “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying”), as well as an additional Best Actor nom for 2001’s “The Producers” for a performance that he brought to the screen in the 2005 film. Sarah Jessica Parker has been synonymous with Sex and the City‘s Carrie Bradshaw. But just because she’s played her for so long, doesn’t mean she’s the only character she might have a connection to.
How Sarah Jessica Parker related to these ‘Sex and the City’ characters Sarah Jessica Parker | Jose Perez/Bauer-Griffin/Gc Images`
Parker once shared she had a few similarities with Carrie Bradshaw, but quite a few differences as well. Parker related to Carrie’s fascination with people, and the character’s enjoyment of the New York City life. But those might’ve been where the similarities ended, as Parker couldn’t relate to Carrie’s specific lifestyle. Carrie’s obsession with luxury fashion and her promiscuity were all things that Parker couldn’t agree with.
“I think there’s not a lot about Carrie that is actually similar to my life. Our choices have been so radically different.

Johnny Depp wanted to congratulate his friend Robert Downey Jr. for his Oscar win Sunday night, but it didn’t necessarily go as planned.
The Pirates of the Caribbean actor initially took to his Instagram Story to celebrate the Oppenheimer star by sharing a photo of the pair together. However, it turned out it wasn’t a real photo of them but rather a photoshopped picture.
The real photograph taken in November 1988 featured Downey with his then-girlfriend Sarah Jessica Parker at a Young Artists Unite event in Los Angeles. But the photoshopped image replaced Parker with Depp and has actually circulated on social media and fan sites for years.
The Alice in Wonderland actor quickly deleted the photo and later shared another (real) photo of him with the Iron Man star at the Golden Globes in 2011. “Let’s try this again… congrats to my dear friend,” Depp wrote in the caption.

After the surprise ending of season 2, complete with a cameo by Kim Cattrall as Samantha Jones, anything could happen. With a recent Instagram post, Cattrall has ignited rumors that she might return to reprise her iconic role.

Kim Cattrall broke the hearts of Sex and the City fans when she did not reprise her role as Samantha Jones in the reboot. It was understandable why she didn’t return—years of feud rumors and open hostility from Cattrall about her co-star, Sarah Jessica Parker, made it clear that she did not find her time on the show fulfilling. Actors often reprise iconic roles in unexpected places, like commercials, music videos, and TV shows. The appearance of familiar characters in new contexts can surprise and delight audiences, creating memorable moments. Some actors enjoy revisiting beloved characters for the joy of playing the role again and connecting with fans.
When an actor's performance in a role becomes so iconic that they're known for playing that character, they usually get asked to reprise the role in new and different places outside the original material. It can be shocking to turn on the TV one day and see an actor reviving a character thought long gone for a seemingly random project. However, the more niche and unexpected the circumstances are, the more fun an actor can have with the role outside the confines of a major movie or TV show.

Alien invaders are one of the most common stories told in the science fiction genre. Sci-fi movies have played on this theme from the beginning with terrifying tales of alien invaders and UFO attacks. Much of the sci-fi output of the 1950s was mainly focused on alien invaders as an analogy for the "Red Scare" and the fear of communism "invading."
Even in a post-Cold War world, invaders from outer space make great movie villains because people still have a fear of the unknown. Despite the overwhelming improbability of an alien race reaching Earth to conquer or destroy it, it is an entirely plausible apocalypse for audiences. Some of the greatest sci-fi movies involve extraterrestrial visitors, and among them are the elite film alien invaders.

Sex and the City was a true game-changer for modern television. Widely considered one of the shows that turned HBO into the brand it is today, the series centers on the lives of four single, thirty-something women navigating love and relationships in New York City. Starring Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon, Sex and the City redefined expectations and challenged conventions by openly depicting female sexuality.

No April Fools’ Day joke here: Sex and the City really will be joining the Netflix library on April 1. Fans learned earlier this winter that the HBO comedy would be streaming on Netflix sometime next month, and in an X post on Saturday, the streamer revealed April 1 as the premiere date. That means Netflix users will soon see Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon, and Kim Cattrall navigate love and life in New York City as Carrie, Charlotte, Miranda, and Samantha in all 94 episodes of the hit show. But Max subscribers need not worry: Sex and the City will continue to stream on Warner Bros. It’s not an April Fool’s joke – Sex and the City is bowing on Netflix on April 1.
The series is one of HBO’s most important library titles and has a modern spinoff series in And Just Like That… The latter remains exclusive to Max.
Deadline revealed last June that Warner Bros. Discovery struck a deal to license a number of titles to Netflix, including Insecure, Ballers, and Six Feet Under.
Netflix Co-CEO Ted Sarandos has signaled that he is looking for more licensed content.
“I believe because of our distribution heft and our recommendation system that sometimes we can uniquely add more value to the studio’s IP than they can,” Sarandos told investors last year. “Not all the time, but sometimes it does, and we are the best buyer for it. Sara Ramirez leaves And Just Like That after season 2's controversial portrayal of Che. Che's relationship with Miranda ends in a fiery manner, leading to their departure. Season 3 is expected to start filming later this year to meet the 2025 premiere debut.
And Just Like That… season 3 is losing the most controversial character from the Sex and the City reboot, as Sara Ramirez leaves the popular series. Ramirez played Che Diaz, appearing in the very first episode of the Max sequel show. Che hosts a podcast about relationships and sex, which Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) appeared on. And Just Like That... season 2 includes Che and Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon) beginning to date, with Che starting work on their semi-autobiographical TV show.
Variety now confirms that Ramirez will not be reprising the role of Che Diaz in And Just Like That... season 3, which will begin filming later this year for a 2025 debut.

Sara Ramirez’s time has ended on the Sex and the City spinoff series And Just Like That… at Max.
By the end of Season 2, Ramirez’s Che Diaz and Miranda Hobbs (Cynthia Nixon) had split for good and both had moved on to explore new relationships. A source close to production revealed to Deadline last month that Che’s story had concluded, and Ramirez would not be returning for Season 3.
As Che has a strong friendship with Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), they could essentially make appearances in the future. Max declined comment in January and again for this story.
Earlier this year, the Daily Mail claimed Che was being eliminated due to Ramirez’s pro-Palestine social media posts, but sources told Deadline at the time that was false. Ramirez seemingly responded to the news with an Instagram post shared a day later that read, “Don’t let the...

Looks like the internet won’t have Che Diaz to kick around anymore. According to multiple sources, Sara Ramírez won’t be returning to “And Just Like That” for its third season, which starts production later this year for a 2025 premiere on Max.
Ramírez has played nonbinary standup comedian Che Diaz since Season 1, during which the character became a meme-generating object of mockery. In a cover story interview for Variety‘s Pride issue in June 2022, Ramírez said they had tried to avoid the online commentary. “Other people’s opinions of a character — that’s not something I can allow into my process,” they said. “I choose what I receive, right? That’s the beauty of being grown — I don’t have to receive everything!”

From Scarlett Johansson to Viola Davis, many famous actors rose to fame on Broadway before conquering Hollywood. Stars like Taye Diggs and Sarah Jessica Parker showcased their talents on stage before making it big on screen. Broadway remains a crucial training ground for actors, with talents like Kristen Bell and Adam Driver starting their careers there.
While some actors are recognized for their work on screen, there are several actors who actually got their big break on the Broadway stage. Though film and theater showcase the shared craft of acting, the disciplines and skills each medium requires differ vastly. The talent incubated working under Broadway's demanding conditions, such as honing singing, dancing, and live performances in front of audiences night after night, can provide ideal preparation for eventually conquering Hollywood's heights. Numerous now-famous stars first stepped into the spotlight within a Broadway show, parlaying stage success into television and movie fame.

The ever-articulate and principled Peter Weller has told us a lot about ourselves in his roles as an actor and director. Learning more about this gifted storyteller and true Renaissance man can tell us even more. But Weller hasn’t been seen in a major motion picture since 2013’s Star Trek Into Darkness, which ended a long silver screen hiatus. Is the man’s relative absence from the silver screen a product of demand, or might it be more down to his preference? Should his career be brought back into the mainstream spotlight like he was Murphy returning from the afterlife? Or is he busy doing different, more interesting things than being a badass in front of a camera? Let’s find out as we ask ourselves, Wtf happened to Peter Weller?
But first, let’s get a better feel for why the man has been so missed by starting at the beginning.

Bradley Cooper had an often-forgotten role in Sex and the City. While Cooper is known as a movie star now, when he was cast in the iconic HBO series, he was an unknown. The Maestro star has spoken about his time on the set multiple times over the years. For example, Cooper revealed he was terrified on set because he lied about his ability to drive a manual car.
In a recent appearance, Cooper explained that he had a good reason for lying. He once quipped that he assumed he would never land a role opposite Sarah Jessica Parker’s Carrie Bradshaw.

Candace Bushnell won't receive compensation for the Netflix deal adding Sex and the City to the streamer's offerings. The show's lack of diversity and the absence of Samantha have drawn criticism for the spinoff series And Just Like That... Bushnell is currently touring with a one-woman live show called True Tales of Sex, Success, and Sex and the City.
Candace Bushnell, the author whose bestselling anthology led to the creation of Sex and the City, won't receive any compensation following a Netflix deal that will add the show to the streamer's offerings. Warner Bros. Discovery announced in January that it had licensed Sex and the City (Satc) to Netflix. Revealing that the deal won't "financially affect" her, Bushnell told The Sunday Times:
"All of these men who are in charge of things, they just keep moving these cards around to make money because every time they move the cards around somebody’s skimming.

Candace Bushnell whose novel about four Manhattan women and their love lives inspired a TV phenomenon, has revealed she’ll be receiving no royalties from the deal secured by Netflix recently to air the six seasons of Sex and the City on its platform.
Bushnell was originally paid $100,000 by HBO for the screen rights to her novel, which spawned the TV series that ran from 1998 to 2004, and a franchise now worth hundreds of millions of dollars. And she was forthright in sharing her opinion on the new deal going forward, telling The Times of London newspaper:

Sarah Jessica Parker already knew what it was like starring in a hit show with Sex and the City. But the actor considered the show fortunate it didn’t air at the same time another popular show did. Parker believed that her HBO series wouldn’t have stood a chance against it.
