It’s a Sunday night: you’ve just finished your job delivering leaflets for a local takeaway, you have algebra homework to do, you haven’t cleaned your room and your mum’s on the warpath. You’re sat in bed with ice cream watching serial killer documentaries and listening to The Smiths. Everything’s fine.
We’ve all been teenagers, and it isn’t easy. Puberty’s happening. You’re trying to do homework instead of going out with your friends every night. All your friends are making out with friends of friends. You have to think of clever tweets and take aesthetic selfies for Instagram. Your phone cannot be out of your line of sight for a second. It’s the apocalypse.
And your parents don’t understand, they’re just in your face all the time, trying to make you do chores or last week’s essay.

Before “Making the Murderer,” “The Jinx,” and even “Serial,” the documentary “The Staircase” illustrated a story of death and desire that was riveting for all of its unexpected turns.
“The Staircase” took the true crime world by storm, and fans of the series were divided over whether or not mystery novelist Michael Peterson had killed his wife – or if she had died from falling down the stairs, as he claimed. The series was so popular that it inspired NBC’s new comedy “Trial & Error,” a true-crime mockumentary that stars John Lithgow as the accused in a murder case.

Pro underwater mining tip: Don’t mess with the guy who has a giant excavator on his boat. In the above “Bering Sea Gold” season finale clip, which is exclusive to TheWrap, Shawn Pomrenke loses it when he discovers rival Derek McLarty’s been diving — and dredging — on his claim. The start-up miner allegedly stole some coordinates from Pomrenke’s Gps, and tried to swipe gold while the powerful Pomrenke was out digging at the Bluff. Unfortunately, the Christine Rose returned early after striking out elsewhere, catching McLarty’s High Noon in the thieving process. That’s when all hell breaks lose,...

Hiro has finally made his Heroes Reborn debut after spending some time trapped in a video game. While because of Masi Oka's contract with CBS for Hawaii Five-0, he's only in two more episodes -- "June 13th Part 1 and 2", which explores what happened on that fateful June 13 -- there is plenty coming up with Hiro, including reunions with other returning Heroes characters, including Jack Coleman's Noah Bennet, Cristine Rose's Angela Petrelli and Sendhil Ramamurthy's Mohinder Suresh.
BuddyTV chatted with Oka to find out what's coming up for Hiro in these next two episodes, how his time in the video game has changed him, what's next on H50 and more.

Once again, it's time for a motley band of mutants to save the world. At least, they'd better, in "Heroes Reborn," the NBC limited series that debuts Sept. 24. Picking up where the 2006-10 series "Heroes" left off, the new drama will bring back several prominent characters from the old show, including time-and-space-halting Hiro Nakamura (Masi Oka), mysterious operative Noah Bennet (Jack Coleman), his equally mysterious partner The Haitian (Jimmy Jean-Louis), mind-reader Matt Parkman (Greg Grunberg), power broker Angela Petrelli (Cristine Rose), scholar Mohinder Suresh (Sendhil Ramamurthy), and Micah Sanders (Noah Gray-Cabey), who can control machines with his mind.
But what of the rest? Well, "Heroes" turned out to be a launch pad for many talented stars who've gone on to busy, super-powered careers of their own. (Granted, Oka found time to come back to the mainland for "Heroes Reborn," despite his starring role on "Hawaii Five-o." But then, Hiro can manipulate space and time.

First came a teaser poster, and now NBC is continuing to ramp up the marketing campaign for Heroes Reborn as evidenced by this haunting new trailer. While the initial teaser for the upcoming event series featured nothing more than an enigmatic look at an eclipse and quick glimpses of stars Jack Coleman and Zachary Levi, this new video kicks things up a notch and features the world asking, “Where are all the heroes?”
While the trailer elicits Bonnie Tyler’s “I Need A Hero,” it’s actually a pretty dark and intriguing look at the Heroes universe, which has undoubtedly changed quite a bit since the original series came to a close five years ago. Not much is yet known about Heroes Reborn, the upcoming event miniseries from NBC that hopes to both cash in on and reinvigorate the love that audiences once had for Heroes back in 2006. We do know that it will exist in the same universe as the original series and include cameos and guest appearances from several familiar faces, but how the slew of new superpowered individuals fit into the fold remain a mystery.
NBC appears to be ramping up the marketing campaign for the series, as evidenced by a new poster that brings back the familiar solar eclipse logo and promises that “A new phenomenon” is about to begin. Whether or not that claim is premature remains to be seen; after the original series’ swift ratings decline and critically derided later seasons, the network is going to have to do a lot of legwork to get people interested in this IP again.

Original Heroes characters Peter and Nathan Petrelli (played by Milo Ventimiglia and Adrian Pasdar, respectively) won’t be returning for this year’s miniseries restart, Heroes Reborn, but that doesn’t mean that their cold, manipulative, conniving mother will miss the party.
According to EW, Cristine Rose, who played Angela Petrelli over the course of Heroes‘ four seasons, has joined the new show’s ever-expanding list of familiar guest stars. Similarly to the likes of her former co-stars Greg Grunberg, Jimmy-Jean Louis, Masi Oka, Sendhil Ramamurthy and Noah Gray-Cabey, Rose won’t have a large role to play in the new show, and will instead appear in a smaller arc.
Those concerned that the returning cast members will steal some of the spotlight from the new additions should rest assured, as creator Tim Kring has ruled out the return of some of the show’s biggest stars (like Hayden Panettiere,...

Cristine Rose is the latest Heroes alum to sign-on for a role on Heroes Reborn. The veteran actress played the cold and manipulative 'Angela Petrelli' on the orignal show. According to E! Rose joins her former colleagues Greg Grunberg, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Noah Gray-Cabey, Jimmy-Jean Louis, Masi Oka and Jack Coleman on the NBC revival show. With so many old faces returning, fans have begun to wonder whether this revival has unwittingly become Heroes Season 5. Creator and executive producer Tim Kring briefly addressed these concerns, while talking to EW. "Everybody who’s coming back has been in the press," Kring revealed. Apparently MSN is looking into reviving NBC’s Heroes franchise exclusively for the Xbox platform. Talks are in the earliest of stages, but MSN wants to get into original programming, and want the brand name of Heroes. The format would be said to include ”new stories and heroes, while mixing in cameos from the original series’ cast.”
The original series, created by Tim Kring, lasted for 4 seasons and starred Hayden Panettiere, Milo Ventimiglia, Adrian Pasdar, Leonard Roberts, Ali Larter, Cristine Rose and Zachary Quinto. We’ll have to wait and see what comes of this, and who of our original heroes will return, if a revival comes into existence.

It’s been a quite awhile – three years actually – since Joe Manganiello has been able to make an appearance on How I Met Your Mother. It’s understandable considering how busy he is these days with his starring role on True Blood and learning how to strip for his big part in Magic Mike, but I’m glad he’ll be coming back. His character, Brad, has always been a welcome addition to the show’s recurring characters. He steals every scene he’s in using a combination of good looks and bizarre situations. In fact, I would go so far as to say he’s my favorite. More Brad makes for a better How I Met Your Mother.
According to TVLine, Manganiello will make his return in Season 8, but the reason for his reappearance has not been revealed yet. Co-creator Craig Thomas has said Brad was one of the...

The fortune hunters featured on "Bering Sea Gold" (Sun., 10 p.m. Est on Discovery) are a tough bunch, so when Shawn Pomrenke got injured in a bar brawl in Nome, Alaska he wasn't overly keen to seek medical attention.
Although his left hand had been sliced open and blood was pouring out, the dazed-looking co-owner of The Christine Rose didn't want to go to hospital. However, as the guys walked away from the bar, deckhand Cody Moen realized that Shawn's injuries might be much worse than they first thought.
"I looked and I seen his coat was all bloody in the back, and sure stuff he had a stab wound right in his back."
In Cody's opinion the guy who attacked Shawn in the bar did it out of jealousy and to create trouble for The Christine Rose. If Shawn was out of action, it could mean an early end...

The creators of Deadliest Catch will launch a new series called Bering Sea Gold on Discovery Channel in January. The new eight-part series from Thom Beers's Original Productions will follow gold dredges as they scour the Bering Sea for gold off the coast of Nome, Alaska in the summer. In a press release, the network said: "Miners dive and dredge to scour the bottom of the sea from custom built, barely seaworthy rigs - in a race to haul in as much gold as possible before the waters become too frigid to dive." Bering Sea Gold will follow four gold dredges: The Christine Rose, The Clark, The Sluicey and The Wild Ranger. The Christine Rose is the largest of the fleet at 80-feet and is run by Steve Pomrenke, who is described as the most successful of all the gold dredgers in Nome. By comparison, the 20-foot (more)...

In casting news that makes it clear Coop and Charlotte will be getting married this spring, KaDee Strickland tells TV Guide we'll be introduced to "the in-laws for the first time" on May 5.

AMC Officially Greenlights Season 5 Of 'Mad Men' For March 2012 Premiere
The upcoming fifth season of Mad Men is now slated to debut in March 2012. That is 17 months from the series' fourth season finale. While the protracted negotiations between Mad Men creator/ exec producer Matt Weiner and AMC/Lionsgate TV led to the series' pushed production start and, in turn, caused the show to miss its original July premiere date, the new March return date is not directly tied to the contract talks. According to sources with knowledge of the negotiations, Weiner had been actually pushing for a shorter gap between Seasons 4 and 5 and had stated that he could get Season 5 produced and delivered on budget for a 2011 premiere.

Nora and Kitty try to traverse the minefield of their love lives. Meanwhile, we're supposed to get our first glimpse of the kid Kevin and Scotty may or may not try to adopt.
Of course, if they really want to add some excitement to the show, they should consider a few alternatives. Think of what it would do for the ratings if the guys decided to look ... outside-the-box ... for their adoption.
For instance:
Vicky The Robot - Poor Vicky has been sitting on the shelf since they canceled Small Wonder, the worst/best show in the history of TV, and now that Rebecca is gone, Vicky can fill that "almost lifelike" void.
Orphan - You just know Nora wouldn't be able to resist ripping that ribbon off. Then the fun really begins.
Dee - The What's Happening wisecracker would bring much-needed spirit to Kevin and Scotty's lives. And she could annihilate Kitty with one eye-roll.

In case you're feeling symptoms of withdrawal from the soapy travails of "Brothers & Sisters," you only have to white knuckle it a few more days. The first new episode of 2011 premieres Sunday, Jan. 2 on ABC. If that's still no consolation, we've been digging a bit for you.
Here's a look at some of the comings and possible goings in the new year:
Nora: In Sunday's (Jan. 2) episode, Nora (played by Sally Field) turns into the green-eyed-monster as she sees just how popular her current beau, Dr. Karl (John Terry), is with his female fans. She'll reveal something at (surprise!) a family dinner that scandalizes everyone. Will she ruin the most viable relationship she has had in years? We're not sure, but we know Dr. Karl becomes scarce for a few episodes.
Holly: The memories are flooding back, but they might be too much for Holly (Patricia Wettig) to handle. She...
