Taylor Swift might be Super Bowl-bound.
The pop star could be on hand in Las Vegas to cheer on boyfriend Travis Kelce in two weeks after he and the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Baltimore Ravens 17-10 in the AFC championship game Sunday.
Swift watched the game from a suite and joined Kelce on the field afterward to celebrate, greeting him with a kiss, a long embrace and another smooch.
Swift and others in a suite in the corner of the stadium could be seen cheering and jumping up and down after Kelce caught a 19-yard touchdown pass from Mahomes midway through the first quarter. It came in the end zone at the same end of the stadium as Swift, who was watching the game with Kelce’s mother, Donna Kelce, and his brother, Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce.

Taylor Swift was on the edge of her seat during the AFC Championship NFL game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens at M&t Bank Stadium in Maryland.
The game aired on CBS, and with Swift in the house cheering on the Chiefs, a camera followed the singer throughout the broadcast. During one moment of the game, as the network promoted the Grammys, the camera cut over to Swift.
Swift seemingly caught the moment she was on the live broadcast and mouthed, “Go away, please!”
The moment took on a life of its own on social media, with fans debating what Swift actually said.
Swift is set to make an appearance at the Grammys, with the CBS broadcasters saying the artist could break her own records with the most Album of the Year wins next Sunday.

Eddie Merrins, the gentlemanly golf pro at the Bel-Air Country Club who taught the game to the likes of Bing Crosby, Ringo Starr, George C. Scott, Dean Martin, Celine Dion and Jack Nicholson, has died. He was 91.
Merrins died Wednesday after a long illness, according to UCLA, where he coached for 14 years. His son Michael had launched a GoFundMe campaign this year to help the family with expenses.
Nicknamed “The Little Pro,” the 5-foot-7 Mississippi native played on the PGA Tour before serving as Bel-Air’s head pro from 1962 until he was asked to step aside in 2003. However, he remained a beloved fixture at the fabled club as pro emeritus in a jacket/sweater, tie and white driving cap.
Remarkably, Bel Air, which opened in 1925, has had only three head pros: Joe Novak, Merrins and now Dave Podas.

There will be lots of teams worth following this NFL season, be they the Tampa Bay Buccaneers or the returning Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams. Even so, many people in the media business have their eyes on a very distinctive player: Amazon Prime Video.
The streamer, which once shared “Thursday Night Football” games with Fox, now has exclusive rights to that action and must convince some pigskin Luddites to plug into broadband. Streaming “Thursday Night Football,” after all, will require a different kind of remote — and familiarity with a home screen, not a cable box.
“It is going to be a behavioral shift for people,” acknowledges Jay Marine, VP of Prime Video and its global head of sports. “Our job is to make sure they are able to find ‘Thursday Night Football’ at its new home and make it as easy as possible to get into the Prime Video app and start streaming.

The highly anticipated battle of the ages between 43-year-old Tom Brady and 25-year-old Patrick Mahomes didn’t exactly materialize in the first half of Super Bowl Lv.
That’s because crafty defense by Tampa Bay defensive coordinator Todd Bowles kept Mahomes and the potent Chiefs offense bottled up while Brady ran wild on the Chiefs.
Brady, playing for his record 7th Super Bowl ring, hooked up with old sidekick Rob Gronkowski for two touchdowns. It was the most Super Bowl touchdowns by a quarterback-receiver combo, and Gronk’s14 touchdowns moved him past Jerry Rice on the list of receiving touchdowns. The feat was made all the more remarkable by the fact that Gronkowski took off all of last season, attending the Super Bowl as a spectator.
Tampa Bay almost had a third touchdown in the first half, as running back Ronald Jones was stopped on fourth down just short of the goal line.

Something that has always compelled many a sports fan is the notion of greatness. What makes somebody great? Is Lionel Messi born with that gift or was through hard work and perseverance? These are the themes explored in Gabe Polsky’s latest documentary In Search of Greatness, and to mark the film’s digtital release in the UK and Ireland, we spoke to the filmmaker, on Zoom.
We get into the notion of greatness, and we discuss at length what makes sport so special, and how important it is we remember the beauty and entertainment that comes with it, and perhaps not try and focus entirely on just winning by any means. Watch the full chat in the video below.
Synopsis
Top athletes, including Michael Jordan, Pelé, Jerry Rice and Wayne Gretzky, explore the importance of nature versus nurture in determining athletic ability.

Chicago – What is “greatness”? Is it an undefinable element in human beings that no one can explain, or can we get insight if we listen to those who have achieved it? Documentary filmmaker Gabe Polsky (“Red Army”) went on a journey to understand the concept in his new film, “In Search of Greatness.”
The focus is on athletes, in the sense of how one stands out from another, given the same parameters available to physically gifted people. Polsky explores the “it” factor, from pro hockey (Wayne Gretzky), pro football (Jerry Rice) and international soccer (Pelé). The filmmaker delves deeply, with commentary by social scientists and creativity experts. It turns out that the quality of greatness is part mystery, part happenstance and part being in the right place/time at any given moment, along with a unique passion for getting it done. This is a fascinating documentary, sprinkled with a bit of magic.
