- Bernard Lutic was born on November 29, 1943 in Paimpol, Côtes-d'Armor, France. He was a cinematographer and actor, known for Winged Migration (2001), Colonel Chabert (1994) and The Fire That Burns (1997). He died on November 28, 2000 in Venezuela.
- Lutic was killed in a plane crash while scouting locations for the French film Le raid (2002), along with actor/producer/production manager Patrick Lancelot, when their hired twin-engine plane lost an engine while attempting to land about 550 miles from Caracas.
