Kevin McHale, the head coach of the Houston Rockets, is heartbroken after his 23-year-old daughter Alexandra "Sasha" McHale died on Saturday Nov. 24. Sasha had reportedly suffered from the auto-immune disease for a long time and she was hospitalized with a related condition, according to the Houston Chronicle. "Kevin and Lynn are loving and dedicated parents who will need our continued support throughout this very difficult time. Our entire organization is mourning the McHale family’s loss and we ask that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers," team owner Leslie Alexander said in a statement, expressing her "deepest condolences." Alexandra "Sasha" McHale, daughter of Houston Rockets coach Kevin McHale has died at the age of 22.
The Houston Chronicle reports the young woman, who went by the name "Sasha," was hospitalized in Minneapolis, Minn. for treatment of the auto-immune disease, lupus.
McHale has been on a leave of absence to be with his daughter and family since Nov. 10. Sasha passed away Nov. 24, 2012.
Rockets owner, Leslie Alexander, issued the following statement:
"I extend my deepest condolences to Kevin and Lynn for the loss of their beautiful daughter, Sasha, on Saturday afternoon. Kevin and Lynn are loving and dedicated parents who will need our continued support throughout this very difficult time. Our entire organization is mourning the McHale family's loss and we ask that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers."...

Howard and his gorgeous wife Beth Ostrosky Stern helped host The Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center benefit on Aug. 20 at the gorgeous Southampton home of Houston Rockets owner Leslie Alexander. The center is an East End organization that helps rehabilitate injured wildlife.
Guests chowed down on yummy hors d’oeuvres by Mayan Axelrod and listened to Adele and Chris Cangeleri for the music of the evening.
But the best part of the night was the live auction which featured unbelievable items like four tickets to see “Mamma Mia,” Mets tickets, a tour os the Sirius/Xm Studios, a sit-in on Howard’s 100′s The Wrap Up Show and a signed Rangers’ jersey.
